@@MsEnelin Thank you so much!! I'm really touched; that means a lot to me. I really hope I'll be able to get back to making videos. I am still having lots of planner/journalling adventures, it has just been too draining to make videos 😭
@@VeganOrganizer I really get that. I barely find the energy to post anything on instagram hehe... I’m glad to hear you still enjoy journals and planners. Take care!
Very beautiful covers 😊 I didn’t know they had napkins. That’s unique. I like your order and I’m sure that your friend will be excited to receive her cousin.
@@BlueHorseStitchers Aww thank you so much - I'm really touched and appreciate you letting me know! I have had long Covid for the past year and a half, so I haven't been able to make videos because I have so little energy. Yay! Happy Hobonichi Day! I love watching your Hobonichi hauls every single year. The Cafe Weeks is so tempting, I love it! And thank you for the mention! ❤
Great haul and a wonderful video as always! My mood improves whenever I watch one of your videos. But I was so surprised when you showed your Cousin! Didn't you always buy a Spring Cousin?
Oops, I forgot to explain! I discovered to my horror that the English Cousin doesn't come in the spring version, so after a lot of soul searching I decided to make the jump and switch over to a January start Cousin from now on!
Hey, my dear fellow linguist! 🙂 I also got the cafe design, sadly, my spaghettis are right on the spine, but that is okay. As soon as I saw yours, I thought how great the placement of the year right over the melon-soda looks! I remember your swallows and understood why it bothered you then, but reall, this looks awesome with the soda underneath!
So guess what? I just realized that we should have two plates of spaghetti 🍝 after all, one on the front and one on the back 😭😭😭 I have to stop thinking about it but now I can't! 🙈
@@VeganOrganizer oh noooooo!!!! This is my first from the Bow & Tie series and I only got one spaghetti bowl...on the spne...why, oh why?? Lol, what are you going to do?

Excellent haul! Loooove the anemone cover and super excited for the English versions this year! Are you starting your new Cousin in January instead of sticking with the Spring start? My haul was much more boring, as all I wanted (well... NEEDED - very different things lol) was a Weeks Mega and a new page keeper as mine has gotten stretched out over time. I haven't ordered from Hobonichi directly in a number of years because JetPens has been well stocked and it's just easier for me to place a small order with them than placing a large enough order to justify the shipping from Japan. Alas, I am not a cover collector - the only planner I use is the Weeks Mega, and I adore the Hide and Seek clear cover, which I think I've used for 3 years straight now?? Hopefully it will last me another year!!
Thanks! Yes, I decided to take the big plunge and switch from my usual Spring start Cousin to the January start one, once I found out that the English version doesn't have a Spring start! I'm impressed with your cover minimalism!
First video I clicked on today for my morning journaling 😍 Loved see your picks for 2023 and I like that you go for nice textured pieces. Do you start decorating right away or do you tend to wait until closer to the end of the year? Thanks for sharing your haul 🙌
Thank you so much 🥰 I tend to start decorating pretty quickly because I find it impossible to wait! 😅 I don't really decorate my Cousin, but I do put washi and tabs along the months, so I'll probably start doing that as soon as I've finished setting up my personal planner (a Scribbles that Matter dotcross planner!). Haven't decided whether to decorate my on the go Weeks yet - I love decorating but don't want it to get too lumpy. What about you?
@@VeganOrganizer I usually wait but this year I'm tempted! I'm excited to start decorating too but I also like that "new" planner feel at the beginning of the year 🤔 I'll keep telling myself that there's plenty of time before 2023^^
It’s going to be hard to not get that Anemone A5 cover you got, it pairs so well with the Notte Weeks. But now I’m thinking since I like the Notte so much I should get the Notte A5 in that gorgeous green. Oh help, am not going to order more Hobo covers! :) Nice haul!
I was looking forward to seeing your haul . It's simple and lovely. I haven't ordered yet. I'm considering the black and white floral cover you purchased but I'm worried about it getting dirty. Are you going to put a cover on cover on it?
Thanks so much for the lovely comment! I don't really like the feel of the cover on covers on the Cousin so I'm not going to use one with the Anemone cover, but I agree it is a delicate one so I won't take it outside. Fortunately I don't take my Cousin outside anyway - it mainly stays on my desk, so the covers are quite safe.
@@VeganOrganizer you're welcome, I appreciate your content. That's a good idea. I have a cousin that I keep indoors and an avec that I take along with me so I might do that. What do you think about the drawer pouch? I'm considering getting one.
Beautiful selections!! I’m interested in the Notte too, it’s a gorgeous clean and simple design. The only zip cover I have is the Parachute cover which is just a nylon fabric. Does the Notte have a solid back to allow for writing while holding the case/Weeks in hand?
Uggh the plastic makes me feel terrible! I have a TerraCycle box, which means that I can put all the plastic in that and they will recycle it (since council recycling services won't take the wrappers). I'm hoping that Hobonichi will soon switch to paper for their covers!
Thanks! The Weeks cover is quite a bit smaller (narrower and also shorter, and thinner). I have a Filofax Saffiano zip cover that I bought hoping to be able to use it as a wallet, but it was too bulky even before I started putting anything in it!
@@VeganOrganizer Thanks; I remember your video about the Saffiano but I also find it too bulky. I do like this one though...(and for some weird reason the plaid Weeks is calling out to me.) Now that I've seen your purchases and I can decide on my order. You always bring such clarity to the whole Hobonichi lineup.
I wondered if you planned to review the eco friendly vegan range “dingbats” ? I have recently learned that notebooks take their toll on the environment and many are not vegan because of the glue.
They're still using the old Tomoe River paper this year, and the Weeks will be using it next year too. However, they've sent a paper sample of the new TRP along with the Cousin and A6 - I forgot to mention it in the video! I haven't done a pen test yet but it feels very, very similar to the touch.
I'm hoping to make a lineup video soon! I'm really struggling with energy because of long Covid but I miss making videos, and I'm using loads of planners and journals so I really want to update everyone! Thanks for asking 😍
