You can get a regular haircut and you will be fine. The only thing you should worry about is whether you’re going to have a tapper at the front to have that extra fresh look. If you do, try not to get a big ass taper like I’ve see others do and you can see the locs starting two inches back from the actual hairline and it just looks off with that lil fro at the front when you haven’t had a cut for a while😂 but hey some people like it that way. Hope that helps.
You seem to have a similar textured hair to mine i"m on my 4th month, what did/do you do to prevent the buldup/white specks out of your hair? or is that just inevitible?
I got 106 and I honestly wanted more around 120 and still contemplate on starting over sometime but like you I’ve come to peace with it for now lol. I want my locs to look full, so maybe on the year mark I’ll have an idea if I like how they are coming.
Have an idea of how you want your locs to look like when they finally mature a few years from now. Bring a picture so the loctician know what size and possible how many locs you want to have. If you don’t like how they came out, you can always restart before they loc up. But definitely be patient and not try to pay too much attention to them length wise and it will make the journey easier.

Yes because it was in a fro and I would need to pick it every morning to look presentable and not flat on one side from laying on it.

Keep your hair covered with a durag at night to prevent lent build.
What did you put in your hair for it to grow like that... I'm on my 1st month
Nothing, I just let it do it’s thing. Just make sure to drink water and keep your locs moisturized and you will be good

Patience is key but if you’re in a hurry just use a crochet hook.
