You're my favorite teacher on youtube, straight to the point, and very informative.
Thank you, Jessica. I appreciate that!
You've made me fall in love with the process of learning the theory behind the magic. Thanks man!
Cool! It’s great isn’t it??
You're my favorite teacher on youtube.
Refreshing daily exercises on my fretless bass it's a great inspiration - wonderfully explained, each point is well made. Truly, one of the best teachers here on UA-cam.
Wave on, Dan ✌
Thank you so much. Very kind of you. 🙏
That MUstang!🔥🔥🔥🔥
My head got tangled with theory today. I needed this like a cool drink of water.
First video with a Mustang ;-)
Got a couple more!
Dan you have a unique method of teaching that speaks to me. Thank you so much for all your videos and lessons as they are very informative.
You are very welcome. Thanks for watching!
4:10 sounds like an REM bass line …❤
Those E major licks sounded like Journey for a brief moment. As always, you give us way more than you say. It’s all in what you can hear and I love it!!!
Thanks. Love a bit of Journey!
Great Lesson Dan.
Good lesson!!
Great video. Thx man.
Thanks for this… you have helped me revise what you have taught me over the last 2 years. Thanks Dan.
🙏🙏
Very useful Dan as always!
This was cool ❤❤❤❤
Thanks!
Thanks, Bill!
Thanks Dan.
That bass sounds great
The second progression sounded alot like an REM groove as well as the Beatles.
Great video thank you
Thanks for watching.
Really good stuff
🙏🙏
Hi i like the way you teach can you teach me please when you do scale show one finger at the time please i love to learn from you please
I've now put your Soul & Motown book down for a bit to watch this! 🎸🎵👌🙏
Hope you enjoyed it!
I like it can you teach me how to play bass in easy way
I think I’m a little confused on the ii V I. I mainly see ii V i progressions in a minor key. Blue Bossa being one example. It’s a standard ii V i except for the secondary function chords whether that be the V of V or the ii of vi. I would love to see how you’d walk a ii V i bass line in a minor key as i struggle with that myself lol. Also, I’m sure you have a video for this too but I would love to see a walking bass line “formula” of sorts. I struggle with what tones should be used and where and it would be amazing to get someone else’s perspective.
Also, your “hardest bass exercise” has been amazing for my targeting and shifting. It’s already been implemented into my practice routine.
Nice one!
This lesson might help: ua-cam.com/video/KrQrLaFUnUc/v-deo.htmlsi=QY9hYOgpMiC7U_L8 as well as this one: ua-cam.com/video/K7hCi7KkUjo/v-deo.htmlsi=qTunBBc0JMoQ6BGv
You have major and minor 2 5 1 chord progressions and there’s a different basic approach to each. Once you get your fingers and ears around them, you’ll start to recognise them coming up in all kinds of jazz standards.
Thanks for the lesson! Love that bass. I have the cheaper Squier version
It's a great little bass.
what about the 1-6-2-5 maybe C major, a minor, d minor, G major?
Another good one! 👍
Thanks a lot Dan.
But I v’e one question :
Why the Chords I of the C scale is not C7 but a CMaj7?
So How do we know which apegio corresponds to each chord?
😊
This should explain it: ua-cam.com/video/1OcQ2wC4ccA/v-deo.htmlsi=l2oAPIHUBUsFsEFQ
@@OnlineBassCourses Thank You Sir :)
❤❤❤❤
Hej Dan what are your thoughts on the JMJ Mustang, I have one strung with Labella flats
I really like it. I had to change the pickup on mine but, apart from that, all good!
@@OnlineBassCourses you had to change the pickup!? Was it faulty?
@@dm4728 Not sure what happened!
Ty for lesson but the bass volume is too low I can hardly hear it
🙏 Sounds ok this end. Maybe try turning the volume up a little bit. 👍
Dan your I-IV-V on your website shows A-D-E but track is G-C-D.
Thanks! Corrected.
And when I here your I-IV-V I hear Stand by R.E.M. Stand in the place....
Was about to comment the same!
