How to Enchant Efficiently in RLCraft

- In this video I showcase the best enchanting method that any Minecraft player should use, when enchanting any item with a lot of enchantments. In order to afford placing dozens of enchantments on an item, one must use the concept of "stack enchanting." I explain the concept in the video and how to best utilize this strategy in an exponential fasion (2,4,6). You will be wishing that more enchantments exist after watching this video so you can place them all on your RLCraft weapon. The exponential stacking enchantment method I describe in the video works in vanilla Minecraft, and all Modpacks that have not altered the base Minecraft enchantment system. I do not know any modpack that does alter the base Minecraft enchantment code, but just in case there is one, I will not say this method works in "every" modpack, but it will work in 99% of them. It is a simple enchanting strategy, but it is still hard to explain. I tried my best to describe it simply but effectively in this video. I hope you enjoy the watch! I also explain the usefulness of Upgraded potentials, and that enchantments applied on an item from the enchantment table are free concerning anvil enchanting.

first i was really confused because anvil patch shows too expensive but still allows you to combine, but in the end i used upgraded potentials to help

2.9 still ain't out xD
The game was already hard but it got harder in 2.9, except for the fact that now you can actually attack from your mount! Finally shiv and the crew fixed the worst glitch in the game!

I do not know sadly. Shivaxi has been working on it for a while, and some guess it will be out around November or so, but this is not confirmed. It could come as early as tomorrow, or as late as 2022 for all I know

Which of those 30+ enchants would you actually recommend using on your sword? Or did you already do a video about the best sword enchants?

But the short answer is that off the top of my head I highly recommend your weapon have these enchantments on it:
Envenomed III, Viper V, Lifesteal IV, Supreme Sharpness V, Atomic Deconstructor II, Swifter Slashes V, Rune Piercing Capabilities IV, Advanced Mending, Education III, Arc Slash, Parry III, Advanced looting III, Unbreaking III, and Subject P.E. V.
There is another solid weapon enchantment combo, that uses Mortalitis VIII, Difficulty's Endowment III, and Subject History V in replacement of Envenomed III, Viper V, and Subject P.E. (because those enchantments do not stack with eachother) however, if you have a poison stone equipped and use a fast attack speed weapon such as a rapier or nunchuks, than the first list of enchantments would be a bit more dps for most things for RLCraft 2.8.2 at least.

Hey Cas, I was just wondering if you’ve ever encountered the enchantment “Rune: Resurrection II” I’ve been villager trading on my RLCRAFT world and I was planning to put this on my armor but I’m scared it might bug out if I place it. Also, do you start with the heaviest enchants first? Combining the heaviest with the heaviest throughout the 2,4,6 method?

Stack enchanting is just putting multiple enchantments on at a time. The 2,4,6 method is better since it tends to work out cleaner and is better for vanilla, but stack enchanting also works. So, if you decide to go like 2,3,8,5, or 2,2,2,2 or however you see fit, I call that stack enchanting. The 2,4,6 method is just smart stack enchanting in a nutshell

This video is super helpful! I want to know if it's going to cost more to put on a Mortalitas 8 book that I combined from 8 Mortalitas 5 books than if I found a Mortalitas 8 book by itself. You said the level requirement increases because of the amount of times the book was combined, but would it change it in this scenario?

22 seconds into this video, I show you have to update the mods using a game launcher. The old Twitch launcher is gone now, and has been replaced with the Cursed Forge launcher. The way the mods can be updated though, is the same. The "locked" is now "allow content management of the profile" and it needs to be checked, not unchecked, but the rest is the exact same. If you do not use a launcher, than you would need to go into your miecraft mods folder of rlcraft, delete the ice and fire: dragons and "spartan and fire" mods, and replace them with the newest compatible version from a Minecraft mod website such as curseforge.com.

@Casualty . Is there a way for me to move my baubles across my screen like yours are. My baubles are going into my food bar and i cant see them. Is there any way for me to move them
Yes there is a way to move them. Go to controls in your esc menu, and scroll all the way down to "keys.baubles.config" which should be nearly all the way at the bottom of your controls menu. Check what the keybind is (I forgot the default keybind) and go from there. From that menu, you can change vertical vs horizontal baubles style as well as you can click and drag the entire baubles box to where you want it to be on screen. Have a good one
If I have upgraded potentials, when to use it? In the first 6-enchantments book?
After adding the 4th enchantment book (2,4,6,8) after the 8 one is usually a good point to put it on. As long as you put it on after the 7th enchantment book it should be completely fine though

why do you have axe in your offhand? Does it affect the damage of your sword in mainhand?
Yes. All offhand enchantments apply to your mainhand weapon. Your mainhand enchantments do not apply to your offhand though. Enchantments, however, do not stack this way. If you have supreme sharpness V on your offhand, and Supreme sharpness IV on your main hand, your damage output will just be Supreme sharpness V, not supreme sharpness IX for example. But, axes have some damage enchantments that can't be placed on a mainhand weapon. Subject Mathamatics and reinforced sharpness are two great examples of solid damage enchantments that will increase mainhand weapon damage by a solid margin. You will still do plenty of damage without the offhand enchanted axe, but if you want to go for max damage, than you will want an offhand enchanted axe and maxed melee weapon in your main hand.
When does the new RLcraft come out? And how to I update current rlcraft? I use the cursed forge app so idk how to update it
Shivaxi (the mod pack creator) released a harder version of the game for servers. I'm certain that can be downloaded somewhere. But he hasn't yet updated the Curse version of the pack yet. He might at some point.
You could also update specific mods for RLCraft (like Ice & Fire).
I haven't done either of these, so I can't really tell you where or how to download them.

yes, but it will cost over 40 levels, and you don't know exactly how much it costs unless you try, or if you swap to creative mode and are curious, than it shows you the cost
I made a book with a lot of enchants on it but when I put it on a weapon mending and infinity disappeared......
Infinity canot put on an item (proplay a bow) with mending how ever you can put infinity with advanced mending

Depends on the experience you're looking for. If you don't mind restarting your entire adventure every time you die, and want to play cautiously, then play hardcore. If you don't want to restart all the time, and want the ability to change the difficulty, then play survival.

Is there a way to do it without using too much levels
Yes, you would just go 2,4,4 -> upgraded potentials 2,4,4. That would give you 20 enchantments and cost shouldn't go over 40 as long as you combine expensive enchantments with inexpensive enchantments. I combined expensive enchantments with expensive enchantments early on in the exponential chain, in order to save overall cost of enchanting, but it will make cost go up to 60 levels or so depending on your order. With an education III weapon though, getting to level 60, at least when playing normal rlcraft, is relatively simple even without strong gear.

That's not true, one works when the enemy is at full health the other works on death (low health)

I'm new to RLCraft, why would we need to make a new world for 2.9?
I think it works like the new nether on old worlds. Everything you did on an old world will not change until new chunks get loaded, then cganges go in effect.

Tbh the Too expensive thing should be removed from Vanilla as well. If it costs 244 levels to enchant, and I have 244+ levels, I'm paying 244 levels
I don't think the information presented in this guide is still accurate, I did some in-depth testing and it costs overall less level to enchant in RLCraft 2.9.3 by adding one enchant after the other. Stack enchanting seems to waste level.
