" Stolen Valor " is committed by people who have ' No Record ' of Military Service or ' Lied ' about their Military Service to include Combat Campaigns that they were never a part of . Many people go through ' Ranger Training ' and don't end up in Ranger Units , just like many go to ' Jump School ' and never end up in the Airborne Units . Senator Tom Cottons record shows that he went to Ranger School and Airborne Jump School plus he went to Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 101st Airborne Division .
