About jwes in the police,my uncle Rahmin Sofer was in the police of Bagdad in the thirties,he was born in 1909 Later he was working in thfamily company Bardad ajedida.His name in arabic Abd ei Rahim.died i2005. Idon't know if he was policeman or mouwathf.
About the jewish year,it start at tishrè,it is lunar like Islamic,but every 4 years they add one more month ,Adar the second so it is 13 lunar month. It was done to sicronise with the solar year.
