The magma cube and ghast combination was brutal. Also, the other portals were created because the ghast blew up the old ones. When you went back in using the portal in the overworld, it just creates a new one instead of fixing the broken one.
Hi Morph, that was brutal to watch. Glad you persevered and got your foothold! A few things - I'm not a bedrock player so these may be a little different. - There is no such thing as a "right way" or a "wrong way" to enter or exit a Nether Portal. Just make sure both sides are protected both in the Overworld and the Nether. Mobs can sometimes pass through an unguarded portal either from the Overworld into the Nether and vice versa (like those Magma Cubes that followed you back and attacked you in front of your house.) I'd build a fence around your portal in the Overworld at the very least to keep stragglers from causing chaos. - Protect the back side of your portal if you haven't already. The Ghast (the big white flying ghost thing) will spit fireballs at you and these will extinguish your portal. As for going back into the Nether to relight the portal - the portal ignites itself when you enter the Nether through it. - Something about Ghast FIreballs - they're like baseballs and can be hit. You can hit them with your sword by tapping them just before they hit you and you can actually kill the Ghast if the fireball hits them on the return trip. - Wearing gold only protects you against Piglins - the non-zombified pigs with crossbows. Magma Cubes (the big dark hopping mobs) don't care what you wear, they will attack you regardless. - You know how you double tap W to run? If you run at monsters and strike them as you run you create what's known as a "Knockback" effect that pushes them back out of attacking range. Practice that in the overworld! Just double tap W, run and strike. Zombies and Creepers will soon be no threat to you once you master this. - Fire is everywhere in the Nether. You can extinguish fires by hitting them with your hand/sword/whatever. Water buckets are of no use as the water will just evaporate once it hits the ground. One way to combat this is by carrying a cauldron with you and a water bucket. If you get set on fire, place the cauldron down and put the water in the cauldron. It will not evaporate if it is in the cauldron. Then you can jump in the cauldron and extinguish yourself. Remember, Lava in the Nether travels as fast as Water does in the Overworld! - Most important, you likely know this but I can't stress its importance. DO NOT SLEEP IN THE NETHER! Once you get used to the intricacies of the Nether it actually becomes quite a fun place (even though it is always trying to kill you.) Don't give up on it! Happy Minecrafting! -
A tip, you can move freely through a nether portal without instantly teleporting back to the over world, it's only if you stop while in the portal that you get transported back
Hey Morpheus! love your videos. as soon as you enter the nether and the purple shows up, you're free to walk straight out of the portal, and the portal visual effect will go away.
Hope it goes well man! Morph you have to stand there a little before you go in. It’s not instant. Update just finished the vid and ya man it’s hard! Even the best players die. Keep trying, your perseverance despite dying is commendable! You will learn. Good job making that little foothold too! That is a great start, keep googling and figuring out how it works a little more and you’ll learn the ropes
Hey morpheus, im only a few minutes in but just thought I would let you know something. Food in minecraft upon being eaten grants you two things: hunger and saturation. Saturation is a hidden value and to heal you need to have it and every half heart you heal you lose one saturation (saturation maxes at 15 which is when you have full hunger bars) so when you eat then heal you basically lose all the effect of eating as it goes towards your health although saturation isnt just for healing it will also slowly lower over time while sprinting or performing actions as little as opening a door or flicking a lever which is why you may be eating a lot less often. Second thing. When you were building up you were only going vertical and then you dug into the land but on the version of minecraft you are playing on you are able to place blocks without looking at the side of anything as long as you look over the edge and the block you are standing on has that black outline of when you hover over it regularly you are able to place a block (side note: not sure if you are aware but while crouching no matter how hard you try you are unable to fall off the block you are standing on unless you jump or uncrouch) Hope this helps and I love how positive you are while playing as from personal experience its not easy to just go straight back at it when you are unsure what is going on, keep it up man ❤🙌
Look up some tutorials on how to survive in the nether. Ghasts (the big white flying thing that shoots fire at you) requires certain techniques. Also you don’t need to stay in the nether portal once you load in. The moment you see the purple after the words generating terrain you can step out. It’s good to build your base out of cobblestone too in the nether because ghasts can’t blow cobblestone up. Great job though!
You know what I just had some taco bell after a really long day of class and i’m finally able to lie in bed, tune out, and watch this fire minecraft video. I am beyond relaxed and uber grateful that you have released this masterpiece for my consumption.
As soon as you see purple on your screen the second time you have to walk forward or backward stop just standing there, you’re just dying each time, the way you enter or look doesn’t matter at all, just build a room around the portal
My two cents on the nether is to take as little as possible in it, becuase as you were saying at the beginning, it is REALLY demoralizing to lose a bunch of good stuff to lava
Bedrock’s Nether is one of the most difficult things in gaming history, especially in that biome imo so don’t feel discouraged :) what I’d do is just create another portal somewhere else in the world so you don’t have to spawn in that biome and deal with Ghasts and Magma Cubes. Green forest biome is usually very chill in the nether if you can find one :)
The reason it takes you so long to use the portal is because you are just standing in it after it loads you into the world. You ask, "how long is this going to take?" Well if you just stand there, you will get nowhere, fast.
I’ve never seen somebody struggle this much with 3 magma cubes 😂 but it’s ok when u die tho stop bringing in more swords and stuff you’re just wasting all of your stuff just go back in as soon as u spawn and grab your stuff and learn to use the run button so stuff can’t get you
Last comment I’m leaving is put a wall on the other side of that portal so nothing can get into the little box you built idk why u think the portal has some sort of stopping power stuff can hit you and walk right through it
Didn't you already die in the nether acouple days ago saw you talk about it in the comments it also probably helps to move when getting shot at and set on fire 💀😶🌫️
The beginning was so chaotic 😂 I feel bad he didn’t know what was hitting him. That damn ghast 💀
if you hold down shift while moving around, you don't have to worry falling off a block if you need to build around yourself
At 4:26 you got so lucky! The Ghast destroyed your portal but the flames from the fireball reignited it!

^ agreeee
That's so lame. This is why I prefer Java. No hand holding. You lose your portal, you are forever stuck.
@@aggrocd1985It's the exact same for both versions lol.
I’m dead… the way you died when you traveled back 😭

That’s one way to explain it worlds longest comment here lol 😂
@@moeslim3 You should see my comment on his Minecraft & Dunkin Donuts vid 🤣
morpheus a tiny tip: When u teleport into the nether u can walk out of the portal, u don’t need to stay in it.
You really like watching the purple portal effects
I love how everyone is helping him. U might wanna make a profile picture for this channel too!

How can something be funny and relaxing at the same time

Steady on jacob mate he is new to the game
He's been playing for more than a year now
You can crouch so you don't fall 😭 you are so wholesome please make more content my husband and I love your videos 💓

loved this minecraft let play the most, you need to explore the nether more.
YESSSSSS LETE GOOOOOOOOO LOVE THE VIDEOS SO MUCH YESSSSSSS
My man, that second portal has always been there. You built it and destroyed it the first time, remember?
Omgg this was brutal hahahaha
God damn I wanna play with him
So I can make his journey to understand the nether easier

One block in the nether is equivalent to 8 blocks in the overworld.
You regenerate much faster when at full hunger so whenever you're low eat something and you will regenerate health
You can crouch to keep yourself from falling off ledges
The other side of your portal is not covered with cobblestone and still open to attack. Covering the entire portal would be great!
You can try to rebuild the portals ins. Different location it might spawn your somewhere else.
Those ribs looked super good and tender! u should make some cake in minecraft and add buildings to your house!
paintings i meant sorry lol
Nice!
Never give up 🔥🔥🔥 🎉
All I'll say is once u load into the nether, u can move out of the portal
Awesome

I would dig a hole in the side of the cliff and build a little base in the other world.

Hello nice game
Thank you for another video I check every day for new vids haha
W
I must not have the new update, I would like to have cherry trees on Xbox version.
Which xbox do you own?
@@vanc3794 the OG Xbox one
hi morph! you should make a roblox account would love to see those vids
tilting
33:27 you would think he’d know how the portal works by now but nope I guess common sense flew over his head after so many magma cubes
Bedrock is so bad 😂
you can dig in through the rocky part and make a tunnel to travel to other biomes which are safer
