But "From Dusk Till Dawn" has one advantage over "Syncopation": It's highly unconventional. In this regard, it's in the same league as "BxMxC".

Thats a good point...I've loved this song since I first heard it for years but there was always something about it I couldn't quite figure out that sounded special compared to their other great songs and I think thats it. It does seem to have a bit of that older city pop vibe to it but its masked so well within the badass riffs that I never realized it.
That's one of the songs that just end too quickly. Absolutely love it! The instrumentation, the relentless pace... awesome! I'm a guitarist, too, and I love the guitar work in this song. The solos are short, but technically insane and with great taste. And Ohmura is the perfect man to play them.

This song was only Japanese exclusive on their 2nd album "Metal Resistance". This is really a kick ass song! Great songwriting as well. I'm always amazed on how BABYMETAL production team write their songs.
I think this is BABYMETAL's most Dicodec-sounding track. ;op Top 3 BM for me. I was lucky enough to see it live the only time it has been played outside of Japan - the bass parts are wonderful.

My fav version is from the Tokyo Dome dvd (perhaps the first that was available stateside?), the camerawork on the dance is really good, and that heartbeat intro seemed more intense... It’s one of their only teen themed songs, as opposed to hide n seek, getting ready for school, being a responsible woman, slaying demons, etc, this one is the crazy emotions of first love. It seems like you guys like their newer stuff a lot. I don’t remember if you guys have done any of these, but the “Light” trilogy of Starlight, Shine, and Arkadia are all fantastic and thematically they work together as a trilogy.
Good idea, they should react to those three back to back to back since they are meant to go together. IMO its also easily the highlight of Metal Galaxy.
Among the deep fans Syncopation is the favorite song on the second album together with Road of Resistance and YAVA!. It's such an awesome track but a bit obscure because it has not an official UA-cam video with a normal performance that doesn't get blocked. So many layers being awesome at the same time, that song.

Haha...they are playing 10 shows in 2021 at the legendary Budokan ...I think Japan is gonna open up travel for Westerners again in March...fingers crossed. And that is why on the overseas edition we put a different song in its place. On the Japanese edition we wanted to present an ever more Japanese quality to it and so this song was included. On the overseas edition in place of ‘Syncopation’ we have instead included the song ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’.

This song is an homage to very Japanese pop/rock, so the producer thought it would sound so Japanese that it was hard to travel, that was the reason why he made this a bonus track for METAL RESISTANCE Japanese Edition. You know, he was wrong!

You got it - the audio was a live performance. Strange thing is - that actually sounds like 2 different performances - up to 3:20 was definitely from Tokyo Dome, but after that it seems to cut to audio from another show (not sure which one) - they probably cut over because that epic Bass fill comes through super-clear.

I guess I have some less common favs when it comes to Babymetal. Amore, Syncopation, Akatsuki. I love these 3 so much. I haven't listened to them for the last 3 years due to their change in sound but man these still bring back memories.
Hey guys, if you haven't already, go to UA-cam movies and purchase the Babymetal Live at Tokyo Dome Red Night concert movie from Sep 2016. It has better sound and video and includes my faves Syncopation and Tales of the Destinies among others. Both are awesome performances! I watch them over and over and always am amazed at the excellent artistry of Su, Yui, Moa and the Kami band and the great production for these and the rest of the concert. Highly recommended for Babymetal fans. The second Black Night concert is also awesome and focuses more on their first album material. I have purchased all of their UA-cam concert movies and enjoy watching their development through the years. Thanks for your entertaining and insightful reactions to Babymetal songs. I too have become a great fan.
@@dicodec There are nine in total with my favorites being the 2016 Live at Wembley Arena and Live at Tokyo Dome concerts. You'll understand the lore they've created by watching all nine which adds another dimension to their performances. They're also on iTunes but I prefer UA-cam.
It really is a good song. It's high energy, great composition to say the least, with just the right mixture of J-rock + metal, the heavy breakdown, and the stereo aaaaaah at 6:50 . This song has become one of their staples in recent shows :)

I believe the audio for this compilation video was taken from Su-metal's 20th birthday show (Legend - S) in her hometown of Hiroshima, though I think my favorite live version is from Moa's 20th birthday show (Legend - M) in her hometown Nagoya.

You got it - the audio was a live performance. Strange thing is - that actually sounds like 2 different performances - up to 3:20 was definitely from Tokyo Dome, but after that it seems to cut to audio from another show (not sure which one) - they probably cut over because that epic Bass fill comes through super-clear.
I am going to have to listen again for that. Very interesting.

Hey guys, if you haven't already, go to UA-cam movies and purchase the Babymetal Live at Tokyo Dome Red Night concert movie from Sep 2016. It has better sound and video and includes my faves Syncopation and Tales of the Destinies among others. Both are awesome performances! I watch them over and over and always am amazed at the excellent artistry of Su, Yui, Moa and the Kami band and the great production for these and the rest of the concert. Highly recommended for Babymetal fans. The second Black Night concert is also awesome and focuses more on their first album material. I have purchased all of their UA-cam concert movies and enjoy watching their development through the years. Thanks for your entertaining and insightful reactions to Babymetal songs. I too have become a great fan.

@@dicodec There are nine in total with my favorites being the 2016 Live at Wembley Arena and Live at Tokyo Dome concerts. You'll understand the lore they've created by watching all nine which adds another dimension to their performances. They're also on iTunes but I prefer UA-cam.

Syncopation is my favorite Babymetal song. It was an exclusive track on the Japan release version of Metal Resistance. I believe the audio for this compilation video was taken from Su-metal's 20th birthday show (Legend - S) in her hometown of Hiroshima, though I think my favorite live version is from Moa's 20th birthday show (Legend - M) in her hometown Nagoya.
