    Mal: *hammers the A button so quickly on flavor text that Chugga would be jealous*

    One tip that changed my life is that when you're using Ultrahand, you can hit ZL and it'll automatically move the object to a horizontal position. Saved me a lot early game when I was getting used to manipulating objects and would get them in really weird positions and not know how to unravel what I'd done.

      Recall was definitely my Cryonis this game. When my fiance finally played BOTW, the advice I gave him was "if there's ever a puzzle that you cannot figure out the answer to...it's probably Cryonis." Had to use the same thought process for TOTK and recall. 🤣

    Hylian Pine Cones actually do have a useful property of their own, but if you're going to Ritoville, they'll walk you through that anyway. One item I DO highly suggest you actually read the text for is the Lizalfos Tail. :)
    Remembering to use Recall at the best times is always incredibly satisfying. Also what you're thinking is you can recall an object into the air and then ascend through it to get somewhere.

    I do hope they end up recalling Recall more often once they become more accustomed with the abilities. It's been immensely helpful in my own playthrough, both in unorthodox ways and as a means of cheesing certain puzzles/solutions.

    11:13 Hey man, art preservation is important, and statues aren't invincible. Except when they are.
    20:32 "Blood Moon Dust"--otherwise known as Malice, or in this game, Gloom. "Malice" as a term never really stuck with them in the first game's playthrough. Stephen noted it was "Malice" with a capital 'M' once and that was about the only time they noticed.

    2:11 "There also are just rocks" even more so in Tears of the Kingdom than in Breath of the Wild because you can fuse them.
    5:01 ♫ We're on the road to Rito Village ♫
    6:10 The Legend of Zelda: GTA Edition.
    7:24 Good job finding a way to cheese this puzzle, I cheesed it as well, but by opening and immediately closing the shutter so my car got stuck under it keeping it open enough for me to crouch under it!
    9:10 To be fair, rotating things with Ultrahand is kind of confusing and more than with shapes Mal seems to have problems with pits...
    10:02 Yep, it's pretty cool that you can use that abilty to unlock potential softlocks like this one!
    11:01 I'd say it's more like shutting down after finishing their purpose, but more than anything this structure closing removes the whirl above the Shrine, showing even in the overworld which ones you've already done.
    18:22 This would work as is because the sign doesn't have to stay pefectly straight, it simply musn't fall.
    21:15 The Blood Moon cutscene in this game is much scarier than in the original.
    27:01 Yep, Fans can be used also as mini Revali's Gale, but to go farther up I doubt you can just pile them as is and call it a day, I think you'd need to build a structure to make each one reachable with the gust created by the one immediately under it or something like that.

    Nintendo designed Ultrahand so that Stephen and Mal can provide us with endless supply of comedy gold 🤣 With his difficulty at kindergarten level shape puzzles, its no surprise Stephen is struggling with building "cool stuff". Meanwhile I've met teenagers who build all kinds of crazy vehicles within the first two hours of the game. But that's why I'm watching this LP 😁And also Dan's remarks 🤩

    • @theoaremevano3227
      @theoaremevano3227 Рік тому +7

      I fully understand his confusion with the wheel though. Super gluing the whole of a wheel to an object like that would stop the wheel from turning, so the fact that works genuinely doesn't make sense. Per Dan's remark, I wouldn't exactly call it 'over-thinking' as it doesn't require a lot of thinking to see an issue with it. Mal even observed the whole axle turning as one object. The game can be weirdly picky about which physics it enforces and which it ignores sometimes. XD

    • @MerpKingIsMe
      @MerpKingIsMe Рік тому +1

      That specific wheel has a cover that doesn't spin with the wheel, you attach the cover to something and it works just fine.
      It follows the laws of physics just fine.
      (At least until you start questioning sticking an axle and that powerful enough motor into that small covering, but it's goat magic, so relax)

      Yes; just imagine the Zonai Glue™ on it is just like a hinge connection, and you just have to place the wheel in a way where it can both rotate on its center axis and is able to touch the ground.

    This is just personal opinion on this but going into this game specifically 100% blind is more of a minus then a plus as the trailers show how to do certain things/ what your capable of with the ultra hand

    • @StarMiners0416
      @StarMiners0416 Рік тому +7

      Hard no. If you have to rely on trailers to fully comprehend the possibilities of a game’s mechanics, then it’s a problem of either the game for not explaining them, or the player’s problem for not fully exploring those mechanics themselves. Trailers should be snapshots/previews of a game’s offerings, not used as a reference for how to play a game.

      @@StarMiners0416 In Tears of the kingdom's case the reason I say this is because they give the ultra-hand abilities to quickly in the early part of the game so its easy to forget them/not remember you have them. Case in point how Dan in this episode says they forgot recall/ascend. Kind of the same issue I had with Botw to many abilities/given to close together.

    I get a bit annoyed by people in chat constantly assuming Stephen and Mal have 'forgotten' an ability. What's actually happening is them not thinking how they might use it in a particular situation (which is fine, not sure who on earth wants a playthrough where the player looks up the 'optimal' solution first? Bizarre) So for example in this case Mal thought to use Recall to bring back the platform but not to return the ball to the top.
