Mostly because those who grew up with the original games are insulted by these movies. They would be okay action movies, but they are not resident evil...
Because they are all action shlock with no horror. Why do you think RE6 was so disliked? Because it was action shlock with no horror. Resident Evil is a HORROR video game franchise. Not a Michael Bay explosion fest. Which is why RE7 was so good, because it took the series back to it's roots, and went first person, which hadn't been done before in the main line of games.
The movies had actors that looked so much like the characters Sienna looked soooo much like Jill and Ali looked so much like Claire. I wish they did more with them

While the Anderson movies absolutely butchered the Resident Evil lore in every sense of the word, I have to admit that the films are guilty pleasure and there are things about them that I love.
Not necessarily. I'd say they could've benefitted from still making Alice the main focus of the movies and not tie it with the games at all. Just imagine that what happenes in the movies is parallel to the games events and makes perfect sense in lore without ruining the game characters and adding to the lore. That would've been so much better.

Malex R I think what makes the movies bad is that she doesn’t show much emotion in the movie and could’ve had a better script in my opinion and they always killed off the main characters for the particular movie

I like to end up final motion of grappling around neck for take down, serious follow up motion . Many cool moves as well, you just dont sit there throwing out that whip.
