Who else is a Commanders fan and came to this video? Let’s Go Mariota. Very excited for this guy. Good natural humble dude who can ball. He just needs a culture that believes in him.
Bruh took a rebuilding team and made them contenders in their conference just to get the rug pulled out from under him…this highlights just shows you he’s a gamer and would’ve showed out in the playoffs
Thanks for reminding us that those Falcons Mariota haters aren’t the only people out there. He will get another job, might be backup. Hope he chooses his next team well. Go with winner, not rebuild.
Someone that isn't doing things "The Tennessee way" for once. The way the offense is run is a major reason why they aren't putting up big numbers. Not to mention the personnel and poor pass protection.
He had kyle pitts and drake london (someone who could’ve been rookie of the year with a real qb) 33/59 balls to kyle pitts were deemed uncatchable. That’s over 60%. Mariota is not a good quarterback and does not deserve another opportunity as a starter. All the games we won were in spite of him not because of him, the games we lost were because of him.
@@TylerAllgeierEnjoyer bruh Mariota carried the Falcons last season. Pitts and London couldn't run routes. WRs can't catch, OL can't pass block and defense was Division III at best. Mariota I now in a position to help the Eagles win a SB while Falcons in poverty mode. 28-3 #facts
Thanks Marcus Mariota for what you did in Atlanta!!! We'll never forget you!!! Thank you for what you did on the football field in Atlanta!!! You rule!!! Let's go Falcons!!! Rise up dirty birds!!! Again thank you Marcus Mariota!!!
My childhood QB getting one more chance to play was insane but extremely sad it didn’t work it, grew up watching Mariota on the titans keeping them in games they had no business being in. If the titans weren’t incompetent he could have been great
Year 2 would have been playoff year for the Falcons . You can tell all Mariota needed to do was build chemistry with these guys . Arthur made a mistake
Im glad he's gone. That ATL ol wouldve put him in a early retirement home let alone retirement. Another year in Smith's offensive scheme wouldve drove him insane. I dont think it was Smith's decision to bench Mariota. Probably came from management. The fans were BEGGING to see Ridder play and they were losing. The decision to start DR might cost him his job plus even the most stubborn Falcon fans are starting to see that Mariota wasnt the real issue on offense.
Arthur Smith is too much of a wuss to admit that he has no offensive scheme what so ever and so he had to put the blame on someone. He gets that arrogance from his former employer Mike Vrabel. 🙄. He even has a mustache like he did now. 🤣🤣🤣 Stuck behind Mariota all season and then after the loss to PIT he just throws him under the bus. Watch out Ridder you'll be next. 👀 #MariotaIsTheGoat
I know these highlight videos make the best of these guys but it also shows what they're capable of at their best. I think the eagles system and his skill set being a little like Jalen hurts means he landed in a good spot. If something were to happen to Jalen I could see the guy playing himself into one more shot to stick as a starter somewhere
It really did especially if he balanced the pass/run ratio, drafted or signed a WR, OL changes and get more talent on defense. They had the money to get it done and the chemistry would've been better in year two. Atlanta could've been a playoff team with a veteran like Marcus although it's unlikely that they'll fix all those issues in one off-season. This move is for the best, Mariota could thrive somewhere more stable with a coach that'll let him air it out.
Welcome to Philly! Better think of a new number to wear because you ain't getting #1. Might be a little sporadic under pressure but definitely an upgrade over Minshew and he possibly win a few games if Jalen has to sit for injury or after a blowout.
Now this is him playing with a boy so great offense no really great wideouts no great offensive line imagine him playing with the best offensive line in the league with two number 1 type wideouts one of the best tight ends and some pretty good backs running in the RPO where hes comfortable he’s gonna to make a great backup not to mention he gets to play behind one of the hardest working young Men in the league good luck young Man I’m not saying he’s the greatest player we could have gotten be I think he serviceable
As a Raiders fan i hoped Mariota would have won the job over Carr especially after seeing him vs the Chargers. seeing this video even though it wasn’t the best season, i do hope Mariota could find a good team and find success.
Mf is throwing absolute BULLETS with lightning speed!!! Look at how many of these passes were contested catches! The scheme is the issue. Fans that just look at a stat sheet need to stop running their mouth. Mariota is a legit starter and they benched him for Ridder who is likely a career backup. Unreal.
As someone whose watched Mariota as long as he's been in the league almost every week, I know he has a tendency to get in his head and he's injury prone AF. The first few games he was electric but they kept loosing close games, the falcons if not for refball and stupid mistakes could have easily stared 5-0 or 4-1. When they lost a bunch of those games you could see Mariota lost confidence in his throwing. He was also harboring an injury and midseason these factors and the roster itself on offense not being great caused the mid season collapse. Mariota is a very good game manager when he's not in your head. He will never be a top 10 QB but he definetly deserves more credit than he gets and could start on a few teams. I really wish he got a chance on the raiders because he seemed electric in that system
Seahawks fan he was really fun to watch against us. Super dynamic runner and thrower. It's a shame his team and defense sucks. He'd be interesting on a contender.
Mariota finally with a winning organization in Philly and is now in a position to help the Eagles win a SB. While Falcons are still in poverty mode. Mariota will probably win a ring before the Falcons 28-3 😂😂😂
Arthur Smith panicked. Should've stuck with Mariota the whole season. Remembering that Mariota got benched in Tennessee when Smith took over as offensive coordinator in Mariota's 5th and last season with Tennessee. Just saying...
He didn't post it cos Mariota threw a TD in the next drive. I was there that rainy day. I could tell Mariota was pissed off at his coaches game plan. But as a gentleman he didn't throw them under the bus
Let me start off by saying this. I like Hugh Douglas, but he has no idea what he's talking about. He said he rather have Minshew as a backup because he watched Marcus for years while he was in Atlanta, & he couldn't pass the ball for nothing. Well why is most of his highlights passing the ball? Hugh has to understand that it's the system that makes some QB's better & we all know the Eagles have one of the best systems in the NFL that makes their QBs better. Just look at all the QB that left here. They absolutely accomplished nothing, McNabb, Vick & Foles, nothing when they left Philly, but while they were here, they accomplished a lot. Foles won a SB. Why, because of the system & let's not forget, the Eagles always had a top 3 offensive line in the league which helps the QB. This is a good pickup for the Eagles. Marcus will absolutely be a better backup than Minshew in this offense with the oline the Eagles have. Hopefully, Hurts stays healthy the whole season & we won't have to see Marcus, but I'll take him over Minshew all day! Don't be surprised if you see Marcus & Hurts on the field at the same time to throw the defense off.
Nah you’re just an idiot to think he’s bad…this was a rebuilding Atlanta Team…he took them and made them contenders in their conference before getting pulled from the starting job…
This falcon team was mid and a lot of the win were because of him hope ridder succeeds (he not) but they definitely set mariota up for failure with this team
He’s still never been on a good team in his whole career, with a scheme that’s spread RPO based, with good weapons and elite defense who do as well as anyone
These Mariota Stans truly don’t get what the fans are saying. No one wanted this man to do bad we just wanted more downfield accuracy and for him to stop the rookie turnovers he would make. I appreciate him and he will be a great backup, but it does look like he quit. The newborn isn’t an excuse not to be with your team.
@@litnation1515 Yeah. A lot of NFL players hide injuries so they can keep playing. This is very common if you pay attention to how many players get surgery after their season is over. There's no reason for Mariota to hobble around as a reserve player. Also his wife just had his FIRST child, stepping away from the team under those circumstances is a good thing. Especially since he's not going to be with the team next year. They aren't paying almost 20 mil for a backup.
@@prophetmaster4997 but why put your career in jeopardy though. Yes you can get whatever you need but if you handle the situation the way he did was not professional.
@@litnation1515 How so? He was upset as anyone would be in that situation, went to go get his knee checked out that's been bothering him for awhile and was scheduled for surgery. The fact that some are implying that he got surgery just so he could skip out on backup/lowkey mentoring Ridder duties is asinine. Now he's on IR with his wife and newborn daughter still in contact with his teammates. I highly doubt players on injured reserve are still in the facility going through practice duties. I really don't see the problem here.
