Thank you for explaining the different types of thread. I always try to buy Gutermann threads whenever possible because it just seems to work better with my old machine.
This is opposite of industrial thread. The higher the number the thicker it is. Tex 92 is a standard for marine upholstery, 210 for leather work and 270 for an accent thread.

hi, can u tell me the difference between gutermann mara and normal gutermann thread?
I know on the wawak site, with these threads they do list the tex.
