That is same with all cars with cruise control you have to press set button it doesn’t work with only cruise button i have experienced it in some of hyundai/kia, toyota and skoda cars .
I partly agree with you,.. But it's not the same with all cars with cruise control. Let me make a small video for you on any car which does not have a SET button and pressing the cruise button directly engages the cruise system....

What is role of cancel button
You can manually cancel the cruise control.....
Exter main Cruise control resume karne ke liye kya kare? Kaise disengage hone ke bad purane wali cruise control wale speed pe jaye?
Disengage ho jaane k baad.... Speed ko waapas 30 k upar leke jayiye... And Res+ button ko press kar dijiye..... 30 k niche Reset nahi hoga...
