I just love the jumper that you are wearing Helen, I just can’t stop enjoying it ❤️. I’m very excited hearing the news about your up & coming studio plans too! It will certainly be a very different lifestyle for you as it will need you leaving your house each day. I do hope it isn’t too far away from home for you. The good thing about it I feel is, when you leave your studio, you leave your work behind you & you can hopefully enjoy your family life without interruptions 💕👏. The time is so good as both the boys are now at school which gives you a bit more time for your own things. All the best anyway & look forward very much to seeing all the progress & updated. Thank you 💜 it's only about a 15 minute drive away so not too bad at all, and school and the post office are on the way as well so it's pretty handy in that respect. It will be nice to come home from work and not be surrounded by work still that's for sure and our house will feel a lot bigger!

🏡 hope everything goes well with the studio, I'd love it if you started doing retreats, that would be amazing! The bundles of 10g minis sound like a great way to knit a Litmus cowl. I also really want to knit another Vertices Unite this year, I'm wearing my neon one right now and would love a more neutral coloured version. That's what I'm planning on using your Discworld club for, at least 5 skeins of it anyway 😅
I'd love to do retreats I just need to work out the best way to do them and make them unique to me and Giddy Yarns too.

Hi Helen, what exciting news about your new studio space! I’m sure it will be a fabulous new adventure. You sure made good progress on your WIPs. I’ve taken your wip-basket idea but instead of a basket I have a small bookshelf next to my “work-chair” and have all my project bags that contain working wips on the bottom two shelves of the bookcase. Until the next time. 🏡 🤞🏼👏Salam wa sa’aadah
I love having my active wips separated out from my other wips. It makes it so much easier to pick projects etc ❤️

I've got lots of little room upstairs, so I'm hoping even if it is cold, I'll be able to heat the individual room I'm actually working in relatively easily 🤞 but big changes ahead!

Hi Helen. I have just watched your Christmas vlogmas. I am a sewist but wanted to do a relaxing hobby alongside it mainly because my husband complains he is a sewing widower! It has been 30 years since I last knitted but decided now was a good time to go back to it. I have watched a few knitting Google's but you're had been the first that compelled me to visit the shop and buy yarn to do a pair of socks. I am looking forward to receiving this month's disc world yarn later this month. Good luck with your shop move. 🏘

Congratulations and 🤞for the new studio. Exciting times ahead for Giddy Yarns. I still need to share my Crafty Bingo chart which I’ve filled in the old fashioned handwritten way. A fun way to try and keep me vaguely focused during 2024. Let’s see how many squares will be ticked come December. I very much doubt it will be a Full 🏠 😂

You inspired me with that lovely cross stitch Helen. I’ve ordered this years stitch along kit ( magical creatures) hoping it’s something Minnie and I can do together. 🤞 hope all goes well for the new studio! 🏡
I've ordered this year too! I considered starting it and doing it with the make along but I know I wouldn't keep up so I'm just excited to see the clues being revealed.
@@GiddyKnits yeah I doubt I’ll manage to keep up with the stitch along but like the idea of just doing a little image at a time.

Helen, this is so exciting with your studio. I really hope it works out. Also I looked up the Unicorn needles and apparently they are supposed to
massage your hands while knitting. I am tempted to try the book you mentioned though I get scared at night really easily.🏠
I didn't find it as scary as I expected, but when I'm reading something scary I tend to read it during the day and have a different non scary book for bedtime 😆

It would depend entirely on the advent calendar, but I can't see why not. The whole thing weighed 340g so of you had a 20g advent you'd have plenty of yarn.

Blocking does make a world of difference. Is it your first pair of socks? It could just be your tension, but maybe try going down a needle size if the fabric is looking a little loose and holey.
