Ngl, this anime is truly the anime of the year on every anime social media, unlike crunchyroll turned into a popularity award though. The story, cinematography, allegories, and the direction of the series were unique and well effort they've put in despite the circumstances they faced. Right now, watching it for the 4th time, this time on netflix. Lastly, LilaS has other meaning also, "Lena is looking after Shin"

Some more meaning that you didn't mention. Lena is indeed in Jerome's office when she receives her unit roster. In fact, we see his boots left on the desk. In the previous video, you noted that when he meets Lena for the final time, his boots are more weathered and damaged. That's because he switches out his usual ceremonial uniform for his old combat uniform. Also, Lena's reaction upon seeing her unit roster is not just suspicion, but also apprehension and disbelief. In the meeting with her superior, we learn her assignment is to work with the Federacy to clear out the remaining Legion in the Republic's territory. But her unit, called the 86th Strike Package, is clearly comprised of former 86. While we the audience know why the Federacy is doing this, Lena is concerned why the Federacy would let a San Magnolian Alba lead an unit comprised of former 86. It's as if things aren't changing despite the fall of the Republic. This misunderstanding leads to Lena reflecting on Jerome's words, about buying her time until her naive, idealistic dream shatters. Yet, while she's thinking about her dream, and asking her uncle to give her a little more time before she gives up on it, we switch the to graffiti on the welcome sign. So rather than shattering, her dream "will come true."
86 truly is a masterpiece. There is no other way I can describe it. The one show that waters my eyes simply by starring at a single shot. The reunion. Glory to the spearhead squadron.
The ending is Perfect IMO, Like usually anime made me cry because sad things happen like when a certain character is death, parting away, or frustated. But this one is rare, The Characters Attachment is very strong, I cried because they finally can meet each other. "A Happy End?" "Bittersweet?" perfectly executed. Make Me excited to see another season and yet I'm scared of it..
Exactly my thought, like I was so scared when the group get separated chasing the Morpho the first time I watched it... But hey Asato is gonna get you for a hell of ride after the anime part tho... like the world she builded is really a no joke... you can feel the fk legion war
Aye thanks for watching Part 3!! I know everyone's been waiting a long time for this one, I hope you liked it. Please share and like this video! Technically I made it in time within 86 days since I uploaded it on 6/13/22, but UA-cam didnt finish processing it until 6/14/22 but who cares! Drop a comment, let me know what you think. I love all of your comments. Edit: Lots of people saying Jerome is Lena's uncle from her mother's side, but here's my observation: "Uncle" is a common thing in the east where they call everyone oji-san, related or not. Jerome never called Lena's father has her brother or brother in law. Lena calls him Oji-san, which can be translated as like a term for an older man, which was translated to uncle but it doesnt really mean uncle in the family sense
this show and dororo hit in the feeling and let me with a smiles in the end, both got a strong women mio and anju, a story with meaning i cant no ask for more.
another tidbit I wanted to point out which could be nothing, but in the final moments of their hands straying towards each other, Shin is on the right of the screen and Lena is on the left. When they're hands form the numbers it's Shin's left hand and Lena's right. A bit of symbolism (in that because most of the world is right hand dominant and thus is the hand that would primarily wield weapons) the right hand is often the hand of "War" and the left is the hand of "Peace" as in Kung Fu the courteous way to show respect is to place an open left hand over a closed right fist as the left hand denotes peace and restraint while the right is your martial art, signifying there is peace and restraint over my power. Shin is on the right of the screen. Shin was the one who began in war and strife. Lena is on the left of the screen. Lena is the one who began in peace and civilization. When their hands come together it is Shin's left hand. Shin has finally learned peace. Lena extends her right hand. She has learned of war.
I found another fact in the songs. I read the light novels, and I notice that Avid is from Lena's perspective, and even says things that she says, but later, that is, that at the moment they have only happened in the novels and not in the anime. Just as Voices of the Chord, which could be taken as Avid in English, has completely different lyrics, and as with Lena, this one is from Shin's point of view, and says things that, at the moment, it only happen in the light novels.
After I watched this anime recently it holds the top spot on my favourite animes. There have been so many shows, movies and animes that have the main characters speak to each other but never meet up and it enraged me so when 86 did it it filled a void in me and I can die happy. The background piano music of the final song in this video also made me cry and I was on the morning train to school
Have you/are you reading the LNs? If not I highly recommend them. I had read all the follow on volumes (available in English) but was still utterly amazed at what the anime accomplished. It is, beyond any doubt, the finest translation from LN to anime I have ever experienced. I have been watching anime/reading source material since the Space Battleship Yamato/Starblazers days (I am definitely giving away my age here) and have never been this impressed. I would guarantee that if you were to read on (and the LNs are absolutely fantastic) you will not be disappointed. I just hope that when/if they continue this anime it will be under the same directorial/production team as I feel only they could do it justice.
I'm waiting for the YEN Press reprint, the physical LN are sold out / scalped on the secondary market lol. But I was really busy with creating these, I didnt have time. When my schedule frees up a bit more I'll eventually get to it though. I agree with what you said, the source is good but the adaptation took it further.
@@ctrlaltQQ if you want some advice getting these books check as many Barnes and nobles there are some with load of them I used my vacations to find the early prints when the issues were a pain to find the first time
Wow this is excellently done. Usually these types of “hidden details” videos just contain some of the most obvious, basic “Easter eggs” that anyone could easily find. But this shows a deep analysis and attention to detail to things that you really wouldn’t notice unless you really were paying extra close attention.
Yikes. Almost crying on the bus in Austin on my way to work. Stunning video, magnificent work. I could watch you tear out meanings all day, but 86 will always remain inspiring and heart aching. I am stupedously grateful for efforts like this which deepen and extend my enjoyment of media.
I can definitely see how much passion you've put into this video, and also how much you admire this series as much as we all do. Thank you for pointing out the details!
Thank you. There is so much beauty in this that it is nearly impossible to capture it all. Your efforts have been a gift, so thank you. To tie in with Theo's comparison, Kurena has a big turn around as well that was not fully explored. In the beginning she basically lumped Lena in the same group as war criminals (witnessing the execution of her parents as 'entertainment' target practice while they were entering the camps) and outright hates her. Throughout their time in Spearhead she strongly rejects Lena more than anyone else until the end. In the shower scene it is Kurena that voices concern about how what will happen to them will scar Lena (with Anju's physical scars becoming highlighted) as she is near a nervous breakdown trying to keep them going when they are about to be sent out to be exterminated. In the battle with the Legionized Rei, not only does Lena and Kurena work together to save Shin by putting precision artillery rounds on target they trust each other completely with the other four Spearhead member's lives to do so, with Lena whispering in Kurena's ear that she does not want Shin to die either. That word 'either' acknowledging, if unintended, that Shin being very important to each of them ties them together. Later in the Federacy, it is Kurena that breaks out in tears that Lena is alive. Even though she sees each other as rivals for Shin, she welcomes Lena openly and gladly as Lena is where she belongs. Not with the Alba but with the 86. In the photo, she has her foot between Shin and Lena, yet she's also making space for her with Shin at one hand and herself on the other. Both are standing with Lena at this point but also forming a triangle. This position shows one of blocking Lena's advancement, yet also stepping aside as her right hand is behind Lena as if to usher her forward into her place. Later on in the novels, Kurena reaches a point where she tells Lena that she hates losing Shin to anyone but her. A person she once said she would never forgive, as that would be forgiving the crimes against her family: the murder of her parents and her older sister's death. Yet, as the Spearhead 5 are adopted on paper this implies that should things work out Kurena accepts Lena as a future part of her family and a surviving older sister.
Yeah very well said. I hate to say it, but Kurena is very underrated, everyone just seems to brush her aside as just a comic relief immature little sister whereas in actuality she's much more than that. But then again none of the surviving members besides Shin has got much screen time in the anime, even Frederica who was only introduced in cour 2 got way more screen time and development compared to all four of them combined, which is kinda frustrating.
86 had become one of my favorite animes after its first part release…..your videos make me love it so much more. The anime itself made me cry. And now understanding some of the symbolism makes me cry even more. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for covering this. The last two episodes were not only masterpieces, they were above and beyond what anyone expected. I always come back to the last two eps from time to time so that I can remind myself how truly phenomenal this series was.
I'm mind-blown how an anime so good is so underrated, I found it by accident while searching for another anime, it's one of the best things that I came across this year.
Hey man, just wanna let you know I’m definitely that other 14% who sat through the entirety of your 3 videos. Your findings just boost my love for this anime even more when it’s already among the best I’ve ever seen. The story telling and characters are nothing short of phenomenal. The way this series tackles political issues amazes me. Lena is especially relatable for me in the way she despises all the propagandas of her country and her desire to seek unity. The music of this anime is brilliant and I can say the same for the director. Thanks for giving us these beautiful details about this anime. 86 is truly a story worthy a lifetime of memories
although this was from 2 years ago i finally got around to finishing 86 and it was more than i could ever hope for. I was damn near crying by the end of the series and it honestly one of the most emotional and best series iv ever watch in my 30 years of watching anime. What really tore me up was when Fido showed the video of the original Spearhead squad and once again realizing that only our 5 are left. The loss of life is just staggering. I read that by this point in time there are only about 10k 86's left compared to the millions there were before the start of the war. Your synopsis was wonderful. I also love how the song LilaS means Lena is looking at Shin, and when you read the lyrics its all about them.
Good timing. I just binged through all of 86 in the past few weeks. You could tell from just watching the series that there were a lot of "show don't tell" moments, but I went through all your 3 videos here and I'm amazing on how many more details I missed! Thank you for making these! This show definitely deserves more attention (and another season :) )
thank you for showing all the magnificent bits I never noticed while watching the show. You did such an amazing job outlining the heart and the soul of this beautiful anime. I'll definitely give 86 a rewatch, keeping all the symbolism in mind I learned of, watching your 3 parts. Cheers and love from Germany
@@ctrlaltQQ I don't think so but I can only think of the legion names at the moment and those are all named after animals. Well now that I think about it the Löwe (Lion) is also the name of a nazi concept tank but the show has tons of analogies to world war II I mean the republic might as well be nazi germany killing off all the foreigners. Ameisen (wich is the german plural) are ants. I'm not sure which of these appeared in the anime but german Legion names that are listen in the wiki as well are: Stier - bull Stachelschwein - porcupine biene and skorpion - bee and scorpion especially the stachelschwein was kind of interesting to me as machinery is usually named after domestic animals to visualize a purpose or function. Porcupines however have no historical meaning or connection to germany as they only live in Africa as far as I know. Regarding Character names: Josef and Henrietta are old german names. Von Penrose however, is definitely not a german family name. Nina is a fairly common name here but you'll find Ninas everywhere in the world. Ernst Zimmerman is an interesting one. Ernst is also a pretty old german name but the family name is either americanized or misspelled as Zimmermann (carpenter) is a common family name in germany and I know quite a few people called Zimmermann. Never with a single N though. Richard is common in Germany as well as in the UK. Altner is a Bavarian family name. Not sure about it's origin but it was probably given to old folks at the time (lol). Willem Ehrenfried is definitely a name you could have found in Germany. Like 500 years ago it sounds pretty outdated but still German. Ehrenfried means peace and justice. Really fits a soldier. That should cover about everything "german" I could find on the wiki. To be honest I try to ignore most of the german stuff in Anime because they use the wrong grammar 95% of the time and it can be painful to listen to.... Don't even get me started on German incantations oh boy the japanese sure find german words chained together in weird ways magical and mystical.
I really like this series of videos. Eighty Six is an anime with TONS of little details in the background, it's evident the staff was really dedicated to make the best experience for the watchers. I can't wait for the next season, I hope they take their time to make it as good as the first one (or even better!) Also, second best girl is Anju? you're a person of culture
the attention to firearms are also insane. ive never seen an anime charecter use a decocker(drops the firearms hammer). its so little, but during target practice with cans, shin shoots the 5 cans, just before he puts it back in his hilster, you can see his thumb move, hit the decocker and the hammer drop.
ahhhh this was so good!!!! the symbolism blows my mind!! the writers are actually cracked at how they intricately thought out everything I cant wait for more videos and the return of the anime!
8:43, don't forget that our sniper threw one shot of sketch book to knock Theo down. 14:53, that comedy is enough for the whole season. This anime is underrated, it needs more attention. All these details, waw, I wish I'll be as good as you someday, Asato-san.
Great video, yesterday I was going to the lyrics of LilaS and I notice how the song is basically them telling their feeling at that moment but what i was missing is how perfectly timed the that scene is with the song. Kudos for your time in making this video.
Without these videos I wouldn't have been able to fully appreciate 86. This anime has made me feel nostalgia like I never have for my own home, hopelessness AND hope. I never new I could cry out of happiness and on top of that for characters that aren't even real people. I pray A1 makes new seasons of 86.
man i watched part 1 and 2 just b4 this and holy shit the holy fcking amount of detail i missed is off the chart thank you so so much for this complition and man i have to thank you again for how much work u put in this just literally blown me away with how much detail the director of the anime put his thought into this has become my favorite aniome even more tks to the detail i missed and u got ur self 1 sub from me again thank you
Your analysis of the details of this anime have given me a newfound appreciation for one of my favorite shows of all time. You deserve way more subscribers if you look at the great quality of this video! Incredible job!
This makes me so happy have experienced. Not just 86 itself, but this analysis series you made. I gave me a new appreciation towards the masterpiece of fiction. Thank You.
Ooo another person that saw the immense details inside. I keep rewatching. Then i see how the lights move, how the shadow is cast on face when things are hidden. And also in the episode before. The change in aspect ration. The breaking of lines when Lena walk in. Even the explosion, the flowers. And the rhythm god damn the rhythm of how the dialouge move is a masterpiece. From how the music swell to how the images slowly bloom in front of you. Even the colors has meaning! It is so full choke of symbolism it just hits you so good with emotions without you knowing it. Damn even the final scene they love playing with shadows as well hahaha. Those guys knows what they are doing
Another thing to point out is the tremendous irony of the Alba's belief in the superiority of the color silver, as shown when the scenes depicting San Magnolia after the war are devoid of life and color and all that is left is a dull shade of gray or silver.
I've finally watched all episodes of the anime, and I am genuinely amazed. It's really one of those really REALLY great anime that deserves more praise and attention. Your video series about the details made me understand more, and appreciate the director's huge efforts on this anime. That also includes your videos as well. Well directed and phased especially parts of conveying the details and ost choices for those moments. Thanks for the videos.
Great video man holy crap I missed a lot of these little details. The Director of this show was so good, the extra effort can really be seen on a rewatch.
Im in that 14% percent mate, appreciate the content you produced. Really helped with parts missed and I found it astonishing how you discovered so much great hidden gems. Gives even more depth and feel as an audience who love and cherish this masterpiece. Something I find funny in my opinion, is that Vladilena Milize is a males version of Satoru Gojo from the perspective of female viewers. Let us all enjoy the anime till the complete finish, that will definetely be an honor(however, if this is the last thing I see, then I guess its not that bad ~ Raiden Shuga). Mad respect and love to all of us that will not forget! All the way from New Zealand, f**king glory to the spearhead squadron!
Exquisite analysis! Amazing! Saw all 3 parts and all of them were perfect! 😭 _(crying from the beauty of this video)_ In general, I've seen a lot of good well written animes but this one - _The 86_ stands out the most due to its share of detailed and hidden meaning to it. Everything that you described, and analysed had a hidden symbolism which meant something. Not many authors will do that. But for the ones who do, makes the series stand out the most and are the most impactful. It's full of soul and love! I really hope they keep adapting 86 into anime. Amazing start and an amazing end to the series. The most interesting part which I actually didn't notice was those three Alban bragging dushbags had their tables turned upside down. At first, I didn't recognise them but when you look into them deeper it's them. It's such a valuable lesson to take! I'll explain with a quote _"One lie can ruin a thousand truths"_ - the nation was built on false truth that made these Albians boost them selfs as the dominating race but when the truth came to fruition of that the 86 are the ones who do the dirty job for them and that the San Magnolia's empire is nothing without them. They are garbage. And so, they are literal garbage begging for food on the street from the neighbouring alliance supporters. As well, as breaking the whole history for the alba's which was thought in school. My suggestion to You, dear reader, don't be an ass and do actions with good intentions with a higher goal in mind. Thank you for the analysis ctrialQQ! No cap! My utmost respect! 🙏 Now let's patiently wait for the anime continuation of the series. One more thing I will say. R.I.P Billy Kametz the VA of Shin until the last two episodes. His voice will live on forevermore.✝️
One thing I noticed, when Shin first met Lena on the battlefield, he told her that if she's on a hurry to die then it's better to not fight at all. And when Lena wanted to reply to him, she stepped out of the frame for a moment(the frame ratio in that scene is not 9:16, it was smaller so we can see Lena's shoe stepped outside the frame). I don't know what it symbolizes because I'm not good at this kind of thing. If anyone wants to share their opinion then I'll gladly hear it.
@ctrlaltQQ Ep 11 Part 2, minute 8:14, 11:04 and 11:38. Also, when Lena told her name, the frame ratio changes to full 9:16 but there's still white bits(see through) on the top and bottom. Only when Shin cries did the frame turn back to normal.
I may have never binged an entire series, not even Eighty-Six, but I really am grateful for stumbling upon your video that featured one of the few that I have watched (and loved). Insta-subbed, really great video! :D
86 is genuinely my favourite piece of media out there. And watching these 3 videos just reinforced that. I read the light novels and there's just so much more to come. With the treatment that this season got I'm hopeful that we're gonna get more of the adaptation which, if given the same level of passion, could easily make 86 the next AOT in terms of storytelling and love
First off, I really enjoyed your three videos about eighty six. Great work! In the comparison section of this video you said Kurena does Kurena things. But in the first episodes Kurena says Lena should just die. Now as they meet she is happy Lena is alive. So in my opinion it is a nice reaction by Kurena.
@@ctrlaltQQ I think jealousy was involved but there’s more to it than that. she hated every Alba because they used her parents as target practice. Lena was the first Alba to change her mind.
this! she wanted Lena to die because of what happened with her parents and she couldn't stand the fact that Shin was 'wasting time' with a 'white pig' like Lena
Holy... every single part made my jaw drop. I knew this show was brewing with details, but I didn't know there were this many! Fantastic work, you made me appreciate this show EVEN MORE. P.S LilaS still hits right in the feels.
LET ME JUST SAY THAT YOU ARE SO UNDERRATED AND I WANT ALL THE BEST FOR YOU ❤ THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO WHICH SHOWS HOW MUCH APPRECIATION YOU HAVE FOR THIS ANIME.. this is the best complete in-depth analysis and attention to details great work, due to this I even added this to my one of the best anime overall hoping that it make's another season reference to light novel
also, after only just seeing "8six" as in 12:14, you come to realize that the show is the spearhead 5, and lena, creating 6. now even more obvious, 8 symbolizes infinity. it was really there the entire time...
Just caught another Easter egg. When Shin represented by the white dove flies out of the dark abyss, and into the bright sky, there's a patter of blood. Slowing down the video, I caught the death of another white dove. And who might that represent I wonder? The white haired boy with glasses! This show is TOO good!
only found this video today but I wanted to say thank you so much for all the work and research you did to make this. I never realized there was so much details and symbolism hidden in so few episodes and this video was so informative. I’m majoring in film and the way you executed this video was basically perfect in my eyes. From the presentation, pacing, and execution it was amazing. Thank you so much for this gift to the 86 anime fandom. You even went through the trouble to present how the music matched the ending scene. I really appreciate this series and hope to see more videos like this from you sir. I feel like this expands my enjoyment of the series as a whole.
I found an extra bit of symbolism that some of you might have missed. The duration of this video is 16:52.
What's 16 + 52? Answer is 68.

Wait so the ed songs were spoilers all along? Damn that's clever as fuck cuz we'd only focus on bopping to the music.
oh god oh shit it's time to cry again
💖
Hey thanks for the comment. Consider subbing, I do have some more videos planned but havent finished it
Finally, after 2 months, part 3 has arrived
86 days later 😂
@@ctrlaltQQ Yea, sure thing you would release it after 86 days. Who could ever expected xD
@@huyluong9263 just like the production committee right?
although this was from 2 years ago i finally got around to finishing 86 and it was more than i could ever hope for.
Appreciate your analysis and this show's insane attention to detail
Wow thank you! I never realized the lyrics matched the meeting of both shin and lena. Makes the whole scene more beautiful.
Do the German names from the show have any meaning I missed?
@@ctrlaltQQ I don't think so but I can only think of the legion names at the moment and those are all named after animals. Well now that I think about it the Löwe (Lion) is also the name of a nazi concept tank but the show has tons of analogies to world war II I mean the republic might as well be nazi germany killing off all the foreigners.
Ameisen (wich is the german plural) are ants. I'm not sure which of these appeared in the anime but german Legion names that are listen in the wiki as well are:
Stier - bull
Stachelschwein - porcupine
biene and skorpion - bee and scorpion
especially the stachelschwein was kind of interesting to me as machinery is usually named after domestic animals to visualize a purpose or function. Porcupines however have no historical meaning or connection to germany as they only live in Africa as far as I know.
Regarding Character names:
Josef and Henrietta are old german names.
I can't wait for the next season, I hope they take their time to make it as good as the first one (or even better!)
Also, second best girl is Anju? you're a person of culture
Wait will it really have a season 3???
This was so good!!! Love the bit about LilaS where you translated the lyrics for us + aligned the music with the scene!
i love you so much for these 86 videos bro, thank you
the attention to firearms are also insane. ive never seen an anime charecter use a decocker(drops the firearms hammer). its so little, but during target practice with cans, shin shoots the 5 cans, just before he puts it back in his hilster, you can see his thumb move, hit the decocker and the hammer drop.
ahhhh this was so good!!!! the symbolism blows my mind!! the writers are actually cracked at how they intricately thought out everything I cant wait for more videos and the return of the anime!
now i wanna cry again
I learn Japanese from college, and when first time hear LilaS, I'm so sad and happy at same time
You really needed to know that cutting together the fido montage and the ending together will cause mass heartbreak
8:43, don't forget that our sniper threw one shot of sketch book to knock Theo down.
14:53, that comedy is enough for the whole season.
This anime is underrated, it needs more attention. All these details, waw, I wish I'll be as good as you someday, Asato-san.
Bro that last part with the lyrics made me cry, but then it also made me laugh with the bird. Amazing content♥️
This can be so far the deepest detail analysis video that I ever been watched, thank you..
man i watched part 1 and 2 just b4 this and holy shit the holy fcking amount of detail i missed is off the chart
thank you so so much for this complition and man i have to thank you again for how much work u put in
this just literally blown me away with how much detail the director of the anime put his thought into
this has become my favorite aniome even more tks to the detail i missed
and u got ur self 1 sub from me
again thank you
Your analysis of the details of this anime have given me a newfound appreciation for one of my favorite shows of all time. You deserve way more subscribers if you look at the great quality of this video! Incredible job!
Great videos, loved the care and inclusion of scenes/music makes it have more impact. Muh heart. Let’s hope for s2 with Ishii/sawano again.
Amazing video. Thank you for showing me how much care and attention the creators put into 86. 86 is and will always be my favorite.
Oh my, the Lilas lyric timing is absolutely perfect! This just elevates the scene even higher for me!
You made me cry again man...chefs kiss...omg this anime is is like clannads...makes you cry everytime
This makes me so happy have experienced. Not just 86 itself, but this analysis series you made. I gave me a new appreciation towards the masterpiece of fiction. Thank You.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. Is that icon from Bocchi the rock?
@@ctrlaltQQ Correct! It is from Bocchi The Rock. Thanks for noticing that!
I could never put my love for this show into words. Simply incredible, a work of art in every way and form. Badly need a new season! 😭
86 deserves more attention from everyone 😭 absolutely best anime for 2022
Another thing to point out is the tremendous irony of the Alba's belief in the superiority of the color silver, as shown when the scenes depicting San Magnolia after the war are devoid of life and color and all that is left is a dull shade of gray or silver.
that last part of comparing the lyrics with the actual anime slides. that made me cry. you sir have earned my subscription!
Passion can be literally felt throughout the anime and it's strong
15:43 I like the detail you put at the end of the video with the morpho ost like in the first season finale, great video
When the world needed him most he returned.
Honestly, your content is mindblowing and heartwarming. Kudos to 86's creator and animation team for all these crazy details.
Great video man holy crap I missed a lot of these little details. The Director of this show was so good, the extra effort can really be seen on a rewatch.
It was a long time, but it's definitely worth the wait just like ep 22 and 23. Hope to see more from you and 86
That song breakdown hits hard. Thanks for explaining that!
Haha wait, what's this female fandom on Gojo Satoru? Enlighten me 🙏
Exquisite analysis! Amazing! Saw all 3 parts and all of them were perfect! 😭 _(crying from the beauty of this video)_
In general, I've seen a lot of good well written animes but this one - _The 86_ stands out the most due to its share of detailed and hidden meaning to it.
Now let's patiently wait for the anime continuation of the series.
One more thing I will say. R.I.P Billy Kametz the VA of Shin until the last two episodes. His voice will live on forevermore.✝️
I hope the people who worked on this show see your videos, so they know that all their subtle efforts were recognized by someone out there :)
Which episode is this? I'll take a look
YOOOOOOO this was insane, I was looking at all the detail while watching the show knowing it to be deep, but there's still so much i missed. thanks!
i say this with the utmost respect and stuff but hands down 86 is the best anime ever created
I may have never binged an entire series, not even Eighty-Six, but I really am grateful for stumbling upon your video that featured one of the few that I have watched (and loved).
Insta-subbed, really great video! :D
Thanks for the sub. Prepare to be spammed with other content XD
wow i've been waiting 86 days LOL but so well worth the wait!! loved the analysis now i gotta rewatch the series :,)
the song explaining made me cry much bro, you did well
7:48 Moreover, when the camera is obstructed (Raiden's view), we can see at the same instant in the reflection Lena closing her right eye.
86 definitely on my top 5
whats your top 5 animanga?
One of the best breakdowns I've seen, amazing stuff my friend!
The Video We've All Been Waiting For!
Magnificent work ! I will spread it.
These videos make me love this show even more, keep up the good work. Easily one of my favorite animes.
dat theo smile at @8:43 made me so freaking happy when i saw it
86 is genuinely my favourite piece of media out there.
Good point, I remember she hated Lena, but it was mostly out of jealousy
@@ctrlaltQQ I think jealousy was involved but there’s more to it than that. she hated every Alba because they used her parents as target practice. Lena was the first Alba to change her mind.
this! she wanted Lena to die because of what happened with her parents and she couldn't stand the fact that Shin was 'wasting time' with a 'white pig' like Lena
Holy... every single part made my jaw drop. I knew this show was brewing with details, but I didn't know there were this many! Fantastic work, you made me appreciate this show EVEN MORE.
P.S LilaS still hits right in the feels.
This is currently my best video on youtube. Thank you.
LET ME JUST SAY THAT YOU ARE SO UNDERRATED AND I WANT ALL THE BEST FOR YOU ❤ THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO WHICH SHOWS HOW MUCH APPRECIATION YOU HAVE FOR THIS ANIME.. Finally a video series w/o ms voice, thanks for the upload!
Ahh yes thank you for part 3
Man…you made me cry.
this is the best complete in-depth analysis and attention to details great work, due to this I even added this to my one of the best anime overall hoping that it make's another season reference to light novel
also, after only just seeing "8six" as in 12:14, you come to realize that the show is the spearhead 5, and lena, creating 6. now even more obvious, 8 symbolizes infinity. it was really there the entire time...
Thats an interesting tidbit, I like your idea of 8 = infinity = forever
Just caught another Easter egg. When Shin represented by the white dove flies out of the dark abyss, and into the bright sky, there's a patter of blood. Slowing down the video, I caught the death of another white dove. And who might that represent I wonder? The white haired boy with glasses!
This show is TOO good!
amazing analysis video, thank you
hahaha you got me cracking with the bird screaming 'Imaaaa'
absolutely a fantastic vid, almost made me cry remembering the 1st time i watched
only found this video today but I wanted to say thank you so much for all the work and research you did to make this.
86 from a filmmaking perspective is like a wet dream. The music, the transitions, the sheer vast amount of different techniques used is unbelievable.
