    I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and your husband this evening. When I got home, I looked at your business card and went straight to your website site. Your art is amazing! I loved your video! You are definitely an inspiration to me. Enjoy the rest of your stay at First Landing and remember to add Assateague National Park to one of your next adventures!

    Great seeing your studio all set up and ready to go. I would love to see a video where are you show some of your favorite vintage books. How do you use them? I keep bringing home books from library books sales and freebies to use for collage. Later, I decide they are much too nice to cut up.

      I'd love to do a video of my favorite books. And I do the same thing there are some books I just can't mess up. They are too precious - but maybe someday I will. 😍

    Everything looks great! I'll bet every now and then, you look around and think "Wow! We've come so far!" Where will you put all your yarn and sewing items?

    • @StudioStacy

      Great question. The plan is to have a small sewing area in the barndominium upstairs. That of course may change as we start to finish the upstairs and see what space we have or don't have. And yes we are constantly looking around saying oh my gosh we did this. We also look around and are in awe of the beauty of the mountains. I hope we never loose sight of either of those feelings. 😍

    YAYYYYYY for getting it all set up! That library card catalog packed with all the goodies makes my heart skip a beat. Both the card catalog AND the goodies you have stocked in it are right up my alley. So many goodies! You're so organized and really put my spaces to shame. But, goals...I guess. Haaaa. Thanks for the tour!

      The library card catalogue I found at an antique store years ago and I knew I had to have it. I'm looking forward to making a mess in this organized space. 😁🖌

    I hadn’t realized you can use earth pigments in encaustic. I’m very new to this medium…

      Yes you can. Encaustic can be used with a lot of different supplies. It is a wonderful medium to work.

    What do you use to clean your brushes ?

    • @StudioStacy
      @StudioStacy  Рік тому

      I am really bad at that. I kind of don't. I just wipe most of the paint off onto my hot palette with a rubber catalyst. However, if you wanted to clean your brushes you can use soy wax. R&F makes one that I sometimes use and I know other encaustic artists use it. www.dickblick.com/products/r-f-soy-wax/
