Hope you enjoyed this deep dive into a very important Doctor Who story! Less than 24 hours to go until The Giggle - who's hyped?!

Tomorrow
Lots of feels
" I don't want to go"
can't believe you missed the "Wibbly wobbly, timey wimey" one. The fact that the events of "Day of the Doctor" aka 50th anniversary happened at the same time as the end of time.
@@aaronjjacques 50th was after Waters of Mars in 10's time.
@marionbaggins re watch the 50th when the war doctor stole the moment the war council leader mentions the high councils plan going on right now. That rassilion sending the white point star to the master and pulling galifrey into orbit around earth.
Little Fun Fact: Since Part 2 of The End of Time was on January 1st 2010, marking the final episode in Tennant's Tenure, and with his return in 2023, this makes him the first actor to have his official run as The Doctor technically run over 3 Decades!
You could also say he was in the 10s with his appearance in 2013 but then other Doctors would probably have multiple if you're counting Multi-Doctor stories!
Should have mentioned that those final words were filmed multiple times with DT asked to get more emotional each time. After DT and RTD reviewed the rushes, they decided to use the second take as the last one was too much out of character. Great acting as always by David!
i never saw david saying goodbye to the cast and crew and now my lower jaw is wibbily wobbling
- David Tennant's final Doctor Who story
- The Giggle?
- The other David Tennant's final Doctor Who story
- The Big Finish audiodramas?
- The other other David Tennant's final Doctor Who story
- The Day of the Doctor?
- The other other other David Tennant's final Doctor Who story
- Ahhhhh, The End of Time!
- That's it
It’s like a great big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff!
I think I’m going to cry more tomorrow night than I did when I first watched the end of time😢
I’m so ready to be traumatised
You just know Russel is going to hit us with something like "its okay, im ready to go" as 14's final words.
In the end, RTD surprised us!
David Tennant will always be the best Doctor for me
Ellie i love your voice on this channel, brings comfort and happiness
Apparently there are several versions of the "I don't want to go" line, with different levels of emotion, available if you look around on the interwebs.
These last few weeks have flown by, excited for the next episode.
How incredible would it have been seeing Tennant having a go as The Master and John Simm as the Doctor?
But could you imagine body-swapping the master and the doctor in their final episode?
The Slate number used for Tennant's final scene can also count as a callback to the BBC's popular Docudrama series 999 which ran from 1992 to 2003.
As a massive James Bond fan, seeing Lord President Rassilon played by Timothy freaking Dalton, one of the most underrated Bonds, was an absolute delight.
I live in the US, so I didn't see the special when it aired, but I saw it on DVD in a Barnes and Noble, and picked it up, then watched both parts back to back that night. I still really love it, and while Tennant isn't my favorite Doctor (that honor goes to Peter Capaldi and his attack eyebrows), it was an amazing performance from everyone involved. That "I don't want to go" line still gets me choked up all these years later.
You know what catched my attention when Rssillon appeared, was that he was giving a strong speech with close up to his face, he was spitting 😲👋👋👋🤝 excelente detalle!!! That enhanced the intensity of the emotions there up to eleven!
I’m not ready to watch Tennant regenerate for the third time
He commited a mitosis instead lmao
Now I wanna see an edit of Rassilon entering with a Santa hat
There were a few in there that I didn’t know before! Great work as always guys!
Trinty wells had an entire 60 minute Torchwood big finish audio drama about her. I really enjoyed it, highly recommend
That poor guy, he did every single one, Sim must have been exhausted by the time it was over.
It confuses me how Tennant can fall out of a spaceship and be fine, but Baker croaked by falling from a much lower tower.
He had a few hundreds of years to work on a suit which reduces fall damage. After all, if it's kill you once, you better not let it kill you twice! :D
So the episode can happen.
I DIDN'T know that. Thank you.
I'd thought this was a River Song fan account.
the end of time part 2 was the first episode I ever watched of doctor who. I remember when It came out I had NO IDEA what was going on lol
Because if river song actress’s name was in the opening sequence it would be spoilers
This time I just know he's gonna say "I'm ready to go" and I'm not ready to hear it😭
8:03 speak for yourself Ellie. I could watch David Tennant beat out a samba for hours 😂
“I’m not crying, you’re crying!” Yes Ellie I am and don’t judge me
"Galifrey's Finest Cake!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
FACTS.
So funny thing about that scene where the Doctor goes to see Verity at the book signing, I was rewatching it with my daughter and she pointed out that she isn’t actually signing the book. Her pen isn’t touching the paper 😂 I had never noticed that before.
What’s funny about number 6 is that this would later be used in rtd2 when Russel came back space babies and the devils chord released on the same day
June was a hoot! Loved her!
My favorite thging about The End of Time was that after part one, you could tell who was a Whovian in your life because loads of us changed our Facebook profile pics to John Simm
Alex Kingston doesn't appear in the opening credits because it would be a spoiler if she has been.
I'm sure I've heard that David Tennant surprised everyone when he ad-libbed those last words?
I think his last words in the 60th should be 'I'm ready'.
Another thing people may not know is that the Doctor's Farewell tour is longer than on the screen, you may know, in Sarah Jane Adventures, that he claims he checked in on every companion he'd ever had. What you may not know is that there was an extension to the tour in the magazine Doctor Who Adventures; in the year between series four's ending and the regeneration, obviously, Donna was no longer the companion, so they added two new characters exclusive to their comic strip, in the last issue before the strip would be handed over to the 11th Doctor, released March 25th 2010, we are reunited with these companions; Heather McCrimmon (yes THAT McCrimmon, she's his descendent) and Wolfgang Rtyter, where they saw 10 one last time.
The giggle is the episode that we all needed
Wonder what Tennant's last words will be when he regenerates to Gatwa.
“Ow”
Love this 2 parter
I think I enjoyed the most is they didn't kill off Donna but did exactly what I've always said I always said Donna was whether he knew it or not his sister and not his little sister but more like his big sister or even his twin sis. I really enjoyed the fact they proved me right. He always needed a family and now he got one but my question now is what's to keep the guardians of the edge from doing the same we saw that with number 4 (Tom Backer's Doctor seeming to be a museum curator.
1:08 - the funny thing is, Moffat basically did that in the doctor falls
I did not think I'd hear ellie say "Gallifrey's finest cake" today
One thing I do know, Allonso is cuuuuute.
I just thought that bigeneration always starts with bringing an old face back. Meaning that at any time a current regenerates to an old face, it is the start of a bigeneration.
14 is going to state " I'm ready to go."
I did not know that they had seriously considered a body swap between John Simm and David Tennant. I almost feel like your inclusion of this is directed at me, since only a couple weeks ago I commented on your "10 actors who should play the Doctor" video that that was a missed opportunity. Of course, I thought they should have done it during the previous season and not in Tennant's finale, but just imagine if he had left that way instead of regenerating! But with the fourteenth Doctor around, there's still a chance they could do it.
Thanks for a great video!
Thanks👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
What if Trinity Wells had been the one in The Idiots Lantern?
I wonder what his "final words" will be this time? (And how many times he'll repeat them...) "This time I want to go", "I still don't want to go", "I'll be back", "So-long sweetie". ("I'm going to go home and sleep with my wife" (from "Clue" (1985))
As always thank you all so very much for the videos.
“I’m ready to go now” or something to that effect would be be great but “I still don’t want to go” is great though
Maybe him thanking Donna?
Allon-sy
@@Dadnlad387 the Allon-sy broke me, the broken regeneration healed me 🙈
We later got to see the Master (Sasha Dhwan) playing the Doctor in; *The Power of the Doctor*
First off, I have a problem with "ordinary people" and "low stakes circumstances". You realize of course, the Doctor himself/herself/itself would never use those words, would consider it their duty and honor to be able to help. I believe the line went something like, "In 900 years of time and space, I've never met someone who wasn't important."
Trinity Wells, "the calming voice of reason." I'm afraid I never found her to be any such thing. Usually, when those reports came on the screen, the world was pretty much ending.
"Diamond Geezer" - I know we are technically speaking the same language, but I will have to get used to the idea that there are just some things I will never understand.
When you were talking about names in credits on last appearance, my mind immediately went to... wait for it... Buffy the Vampire Slayer, because of course it did. Amber Benson also had her name added to the opening credits for her final appearance on that show.
So, other than my little quibbles, good list, very entertaining. I'm not ready for tomorrow.
But keep in mind, we're not losing David Tennant and Catherine Tate. We got three bonus episodes we realistically shouldn't have gotten. Remember the good times.
Jack would have been jealous of Minnie 😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
I realllyyy wish we could of seen the daleks in the end of time just because it may have been an opportunity for us to see the emperor again and we could of seen him and rassilon team up against the doctor how cool would that have been!
"team up against the Doctor", you know what's wrong with that sentence? Everything. Rassilon's plan wasn't to defeat the Doctor, he merely acknowledged him, when he arrived, his plan involved destroying reality, so the Timelords could ascend to a higher plane of existence. As messed up as that is, I don't see, how he could want to team up with the Dalek Emperor AGAINST the Doctor. Also the story wouldn't make much sense. The Last Great Time War was about the Timelords fighting against the Daleks (initially there were more races involved, but in the end it was about these two), so why would Rassilon want to team up with those, who nearly obliterated his homeplanet? I'm really glad Moffat did interfere and RTD did let go of the Daleks, that would really be a stupid plot. I mean destroying reality and ascending to a higher plane of existence isn't much expected of a race, called the Timelords, but definitely better, than teaming up with those whom they were at war.
Bring 👏 back 👏 Trinity 👏 Wells!!! 👏
John Simm was a awesome villain.
Omgoddess Ellie!!! So waiting your take on the 3rd special!!!! I'm so excited to see!!! Please hurry!! Lol, I'm so sorry but you mean that much to me to know what your opinion is!!
Great list! I see Tennant's fianl words, this time, as "It's finally time to go."
When have you phoned 999 for a doctor? An ambulance isn't a doctror
Now, just hours away, I'm still not ready for The Giggle, especially after watching this video. Are there enough tissues in the world?
Thanks again Ellie.
Chibnall decided many years later to use the idea of the master taking over the Doctor's body
The TV Movie did that Plot thread first. Not End of Time.
@@marionbaggins It didn't. The movie's plot wwas for the Master to steal the Doctor's regeneration energy, so he could live longer. It's not the same as body swap, or hijacking. Although the Master hijacked that medic/ambulance driver, forgot his name..
Watching this after having watched the Giggle... That brings different perspective to lots of sentences here...
Allonsy Alonzo!!
So not ready for 10 to go again
The gold tooth…where The Toymaker put The Master in…was left on the helipad…and someone with red nail polish picked it up…The Master…Missy…WHO is coming back?!?
THANKS for this,, Ellie!!!! I always wanted to know why 11 spit on his "wife."
His last words will be “I’m ready now. I’m ready to go”
I like The End of Time
I'm guessing you are too busy recovering to get the episode about last night ready? I really want to see what sort of a state Ellie is in but I'm guessing the moment River was mentioned she just passed out.
I'm still huffing copium about it ACTUALLY being Tennant's last story, but I'll live if it is. I liked the Star Beast and loved Wild Blue Yonder, so hopefully we get a good sendoff for 14.
i noticed 11 spitting on the tardis console from the first time i seen the episode haha sexy
When he said I don't want to go I wasn't crying I thought it was Just stupid
I just realised - is the 14th Doctor going to meet (or be secretly seen) by River, which is the reason she recognised him but thought he looked really young?
Sadly nope at least Big Finish decided to do something with that. However, I think of those as alternate timelines. Thanks, Whoniverse!
Trinity Wells no longer the voice of reason, but the lovechild of Alex Jones and Steve Bannon!
RTD: “It doesn’t seem right to have The Doctor and Master swap bodies for a final story, The Doctor should be played properly in their last tale.”
Chibnall: “Hold my beer…”
Chibnall didn't do a body swap, he regenerated the Master into the Doctor, but didn't regenerate the Doctor into the Master in turn. So not a body swap, just hijacking of a body (the Doctor's in that case). Something the Master was seen doing quite a few times. He did that in Classic, in the 1996 movie and in the Power of the Doctor. He just used different methods, but it's basically the same thing.
I don’t believe it will be his final 😢
How did you talk about Verity Newman and not mention her name!?
Verity Lambert and Sydney Newman anyone?
Nope, forever in the camp that 10's departure was too much and more about Tennant than the Doctor. Hated it.
You forgot "Face/Off", with John Travolta/Nicolas Cage as a horrendously terrible good guy/villain "body swapping" movie, which may have actually contributed to the Doctor Who/Master idea being scrapped...
I love Doctor Who, whoever agrees feel free to reply or like this comment.
What an odd comment 😂 I’d be very concerned if people were here without caring for the series. Why spend your time fishing for likes on a UA-cam comment?
Favourite episode?
I prefer Doccy Whomst
@@Dylstringer28 Yeah, you can comment and reply which season you liked the most.
@@Tomtainius I'm not here to fish for likes, I'm just here to hear peoples personal opinion if they wanna reply, if not reply like the comment or if not comfortable not do any of that, It's the peoples choice.
The fact that the day of the doctor (aka 50th anniversary) happened at the same time as the end of time should be #1. If the overlap gets used in 60th to create a clean reset (return to season 1) like Disney wants to do you are going to kick yourself.
It did and didn't. Tennat's part did, while Smith's happened later. We actually see it from Smith's viewpoint. When 10 said "I don't want to go" in the Day of the Doctor, 11 said, that he says it a lot. Chronologically this was the first time 10 said it, while David Tennant said it for the second time (obviously the first being the End of Time part 2). It depends on the point of view, but the story of the Day of the Doctor is seen mainly from 11th Doctor's view, as he's the hero, he's the (at that time) current Doctor.
@Croftice1 you are missing the point at 9 minutes and 58 seconds Androgar says to general, "The high council has plans of their own" those PLANS are white point star stuff from end of time.
@Croftice1 the version of 10th is in the past version of the 10th, thst is operating in parallel on earth.
I hate the idea of the daleks and the time lords teaming up, it just doesn't fit
He won't regenerate/die. Spoilers, your welcome.
iam so sad
Ellie I missed you can't help it just have a massive crush
iv just watched this episode the giggle and been felt confused as fk how can there be two doctors it feels like rtd might be edging his bets a bit to see what the reaction will be and also i like how they kinda take the piss out of the woke a bit with the puppet making everyone think there right and everyone else is wrong !!!!!!
First!
1/2nd comment
John Simms Master, is my least favorite master to be honest.
Ha ha ha. Sexual assault.
It’s not his final episode…he and Ncuti are a bi-generation. He’ll be back soon.
That is just a theory/rumor not facts.
@brianparker8812 ^
@@christinewhoyt how bout them not facts?
I may get banned for this but maybe River Song didn't get credit before and because overall she's a character who's overrated I'm not saying I hate her but overall she's not the be all and end all some people make her out to be good moments good episodes but so much better exist
I doubt you will get banned. However, might want to learn to read the room. When the host constantly, and I do mean CONSTANTLY, calls River the best character (actually sings the words quite often), you might be expositing at the wrong audience. You're entitled to your opinion, I'm just saying this is probably not the way to make friends.
@@michaeltortorice9876thus the jokingly saying I'd get banned I didn't really think I would but I disagree
Matt Smith was the GOAT
