    I have never seen that joint until a year ago when I made that hammer.
    I steamed the parts instead of thinning them.
    You’re right, my hammer will NEVER come apart without destroying it.

    Hey, James, an idea for a video... To make a center finding ruler. Nothing complicated, just a strip of wood with a center mark and a few marks after that, to each side. Perhaps every 1 or 2 inches, for example. 😊

    So even after you pinged yourself in the eye with a flying wood chip you still chose not to wear safety glasses. Wrong choice my friend. Nice work on the hammer though.
