Great video, very expressive in Italian. I find that that anything ancient Egyptian has saturated layers of poetic meaning, and so feeling close to these by composing in and using your native language is a great choice. And as an anglophone architect living in Italy who loves studying Egyptian things - I appreciate this on several levels. Thank you.

We need more videos like this! My english skills progressed tremendously talking on different boards and watching videos from creators I like, and since I'm learning Italian, this is really "holy bread", like we say in French.
È difficile trovare youtubers italiani che mi piaciono veramente. Trovo spesso qualch'uno con o due video che mi piaciono ma alla fine non gli amo mai abbastanza per seguirgli realmente.

Thumbs up, even though I capisco only some random parole.
Never learnt Italian, but I know French and that definitely helps
recognise words in other Romance language (to some extent).

    • @matthagen67

Well, my native language is Polish. But I know what you're talking about.
When I listen to Russian, I understand like 75% of what I'm hearing, too.
And yeah, Spanish is even closer to Italian than French (unlike other
Romance languages, French grew very distinct phonetically; Spanish and
Italian words even when pronounced are still very similar to their Latin roots).

Bello. Molto bello.

Well that was fun! Ancient Egypt is a passion of mine. Metatron speaking of one of my very favorite subjects in his native tongue! Perfection! Very enjoyable. As I have studied French and Spanish and now Portuguese on a basic level it's interesting to me how much I could understand but of course the subtitles helped fill in the blanks for me. I loved listening to you in your native Italian. Love those 72 wings.

  • @nuuuuuut

Wow, Italian is quite a beautiful sounding language. I can't imagine English sounds anywhere near as pretty to someone who doesn't speak the language. Perhaps it has some beauty to it, but since it's the only language I speak I can't really determine that. Maybe it's just the way you speak, but Italian seems to have a sort of flow to it that I can't recognize English as having.
Also literally just finished watching Devilman and then went to this video, and the devil possessing the main character is Amon. Not particularly related, but a neat coincidence.

A bit late in responding due to having to actually watch the video rather than listen to it at work. It was rather nice listening to you in Italian for once, though for some reason the subtitles were hard to read due to blending into the background at times. That said, great video as always Metatron and I especially loved the subject today - hope you do more Egyptian lore in the future.

As long as you can (because I supposed how difficult it is) povide subtitles I think no one would complain about anything at all, on the contrary. I' d LOVE to see you making a video about Japanese youkais IN JAPANESE (I know there's already an English one).

A decent introduction to egyptian culture. And I think you should make more videos in your native language. I believe it was more to the right direction than most of the american and history channel bullshit that is out there and I also think thats because you are italian and love studying history. Keep up the good work as you have an absolute cultural advantage that you must make use of. Now I'm saying all these as a fellow student and lover of history, philosophy and religion who is from Greece and i think more of these videos would help people understand the true spritual wealth that ancient cultures have.

Great video! As a child I was fascinated about egiptian gods... this revives my interest in them :)
About the language: my L1 is Spanish, so it was (unexpectedly) easy for me to undestand almost everything that was said.

This was quite nice. Interestingly, being familiar with "Symbols of an Alien Sky," the hieroglyphics for Anch, Ra, Osiris, and Thoth, look strangely like depictions of cosmic events.

    No offense taken, Raff!
Though, the subtitles could've been cleaner. There were a few grammatical mistakes, and a few vague improper nouns where proper nouns would've been appropriate.
But, still a great video! Love ancient history and Egypt.

Metatron potresti, gentilmente, consigliarmi dei libri validi sulla mitologia Egizia?
Libri che parlano degli Dei Egizi, i suoi miti e i simboli!
    Te ne sarei davvero riconoscente!
