I'm wondering where you are as I built one back in the early "70's and often wondered what happened to it. Had a big Dellorto carb on it so pretty unusual.
The beat of this bike reminds me of my childhood through teen's. I learned to ride this bike sitting in front of my dad so I would not fly off the back seat. It was left with family when we moved to Canada some 25 odd years ago. I love this bike... I'm interested in it.
Beautiful bike.. Has anyone ever dropped a G50 motor into a G85CS rolling chassis? And if not - why not? I'm aware of the G50CSR but I believe that was a G50 motor in a G80CS rolling chassis..
@@exb.r.buckeyeman845 Yes, I know.. The G85CS in the video has the G80CS pushrod engine but in a lightweight frame. I was simply wondering if anyone had ever taken this model to the ultimate logical conclusion and fitted it with a G50 ohc motor.. I'm v familiar with these models - my last bike was a '67 G80CS.. here! ua-cam.com/video/aVwO4bQ4s2g/v-deo.html
What is the name of that "muffler" with the turning plate at the end? My dad had one on his Ducati 350 Sebring but I've long since forgotten the brand.
First bike I ever owned was a Matchless g80 in a Norton featherbed frame. This machine is beautiful.

@@soozikins So that would be in Scotland? Any Idea when?
@@peterhyde3282 About '73 I reckon

Now that is a rare bird, one of the last before liquidation.

No sorry Pip, that's not a G50 engine. A G50 is OHC and has gold anodised casings, and no push rod tubes.

@@pippiperade4030 Hello Pip, you did said, " i believe that was a G50 motor in a G80CS rolling chassis, " hence my comment.
wish they had offered this bike as a road sports model, with basic lights and better brakes. would have been better than a gold star?
Down in the forest somthing stirred.
