Thanks again to Mr Bobber for having me out! I'll link everyone's Instagrams etc soon here just have to check who wants to be! Some of my later footage was lost as this poor GoPro really is on its last legs, but I'll buy a new one as soon as I can :)
My back was only slightly rebroken and everything. I told the doctor I'd done "a few hundred miles" and he was displeased a that so I'm glad I withheld the full truth. Turdy is the safe speed. Stromboli was idling through those corners, such a good bike. New springs and it'll be sent.
Great looking roads! I've heard others say that there are plenty of roads around there that are better rides that the tail of the dragon. I guess the dragon is just the famous one everyone knows, so it becomes a "bucket list" ride. I've seen guys that even have tattoos referencing that they've ridden it.
The surface is so so good. The dragon is fun, I'd have probably had more fun had I known it was the dragon tbh. But even as quiet as it was I saw two people cross the centre line. That stuff makes me nervous as it's really really not a bad or overly challenging road if you ride it like it's a road and not a race track with run offs etc.
Absolutely amazing! I missed this road last year since it was closed. Father Bobber and crew are an amazing group of humans. Glad you were able to do this!🤘🏼
I rode the tail of the dragon about 8 years ago, it was ok. I live in NW Arkansas, the Ozark Mt. region. All roads lead to a good time, haha. Great video Sir.
Such a nice spot. None of it is like......Kerry spec dodgyness but it's endless and the road surfaces are amazing. So very used to it say but not used to the road quality :D
Some super roads there!! A great way to spend a couple of days, and it looked a good group of friends to boot. I'm not jealous at all (much!!!). Cheers, Andy.
Very very tasty roads!! I have to say it was a great break for the brain, great to meet people I've been talking to a while too, and they were a great group! Hahaha one day you might make it over!
Rode the skyway last yr on our trip also, super fun road to ride...how ya like the RPHA 11 pro? I have 2 of them, venom and mike wazkowski lol! My HD ran great up there😂 sorry, i had to say it!
I don't have the pro, just the standard 11!! I like it a lot, have had it a while now and it's always been pretty great :) Haha nice. Just a standard one for me 😂 Haha so did my Suzuki :P I'm not team anyone 😂
@@TheGorillaBiker LOL me neither, i have a husky 701 for offroad...the HJC fits damn good and it fits the comm pretty good! i wish HJC could do visors that changed...
Ah there are plenty of car people still over here too who love it. The car scene here is a bit healthier since their laws are a LOT less restrictive on having actual nice, fun cars.
I agree, that whole place is amazing. Bummer about the GoPro. The SkyWay is awesome. The thing I like about the dragon is the slower speeds and the banking's. Your right though, not lots of room and the surface is sketch in some areas. The other thing I don't like about the dragon is how popular it is. That also makes it sketch. I found the SkyWay to be much faster in certain parts which adds risk as well. vstrom sounds lovely.
It really is, ah I'm not too upset, this gopro has served me very very well. It is, I would really like the dragon if I could catch it while it was quiet again and people could stay on their side of the road. That's what made me most nervous on the dragon is how much I saw people driving/riding beyond their limits. Yeah you could definitely overdo it on the skyway speed wise. I was being very sensible :) I know! Two bros are awesome!

No better way to see the countryside than by motorcycle. Excellent video. That is what riding is all about. Thanks for sharing!
I couldn't agree more. Cars just feel wrong these days! Thanks for watching :)
We had the best time, I’m so glad you made it out! The Stromboli makes it looks so effortless, even though we were only going turdy kph.

Oh that's no good, you'll just have to go back :D They are indeed, lucky to get invited and be able to go :)
Love the bark of your Strom. 🙂 Now that I watched this, I think I'm going to call out for the day and take mine for a rip.
Haha it's an addictive bike to just bang up and down the gears on :P You should!!

I've heard it's lovely over that way, I'll have to make my way across! Thanks :)
One day I would like to buy a bike in the states and do these roads.
Well, I'm sure I could help :)
I need to go there 🔥 it looks like so much fun
Yano it'd be a nice ride to do with a friend from say.....the Raleigh area.

Cor, you'd never square your tires off if you lived near there! 🙂
Haha I know!! And you know that gopros make everything look flatter and less turny than they are :D I have spare bikes :P
@@TheGorillaBiker *looks up plane fares* 😀
They're horrific at the moment
Parts of the Skyway were closed last summer when I was down that way. Was disappointed.
That sucks to be fair, you'll just have to come down and have another go at it!
Looks like good craic was had buddy. Is it super twisty roads, or, coming from Ireland is it more of what you'd been used to?
