Excellent interview, thanks to you both, but thank you Cyrus for asking about how being married helped him not hurt him. Unfortunately our enemy Satan who is a liar has influenced the black community to believing marriage is not necessary or even a detriment. The result has destroyed the black family, ruined our youth, and is taking too many of us to an early grave, not only from violence but from sickness from the stress of failed relationships. It is with such heartfelt pride to watch an intelligent, well spoken, well groomed young man who wants to build our community up rather than take the easy route of fast $ and short fame by tearing
us down. It is my hope that soon you will expand your podcast to not only talk about tech but family & our young black men. That imposter syndrome ish is sneaky. What helped me combat it is close that knowledge gap. So that is what I am doing to jump into AWS and specialize in automation security. I got the exact idea to use tech to acquisition an already running and functioning business and take that money and wash rinse and repeat. What I do enjoy is that after watching a few of your interviews I see I am on the right path. I am willing to pay for my resources, if I get it for free, I run with it, I lose sleep for it. I'm a warrior 😎

This is a really good interview. The impostor syndrome is real lol 😂. I was thinking that I have to be at least 95% qualified to get my first job in cybersecurity since I’m career changing. But after hearing that I can tweak my past role was mind blowing. Ive been a customer service rep for years, so Im trying to see if I can tweak that role or title.
Absolutely! Impostor syndrome is common, but don't underestimate the skills gained in customer service. Tweak and highlight those transferable skills, it can make a big difference!

This interview was 🔥. Chris's role sounds more along the lines of a lead security compliance manager. He must work with security frameworks like PCI DSS. NIST and HIPPA since he's talking about managing risks, implementing secure controls on programs and applications.
Absolutely! Chris's role does align with security compliance. You nailed it with PCI DSS, NIST, and HIPAA. Great insights!
Thanks, Cyrus! Im actually a PCI consultant, so I can attest to this framework. A lot of the work is scoping for cardholder data on a company's network, as well as testing and validating the security controls. The goal is to make sure the appropriate personnel implement the proper controls so that the company can remain or become PCI compliant and take card payments.

LEAPS: Long-Term Equity Anticipation Securities
LEAPS options are the “contracts” the brother is referring to. I do them quarterly in addition to my 9-5 career. I’m very conservative but I too make around $50k yearly taking on about 4 options positions. UA-cam LEAP options (only LEAP OPTIONS) and learn everything you can then when you get the balls to execute get after it.
Absolutely! LEAPS are powerful tools. Doing them quarterly is a smart move. Keep learning and executing those strategies!

Good evening. Whats your take on Six Sigma Certifications and Lean Six Sigma Certifications. They offer specialized Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma Certifications in IT as well. White belt yellow belt green belt black belt master green belt and master black belt. Green and black belt certifications can also get you Six figures too even with the Certifications you mentioned.

I just recently received lean six sigma green and black certifications in Logistics not too long ago. But from what I read and researched Logistics can go along way even in your line of work too. Especially with managing the equipment side of it and even the software that was a challenging experience when I was in the Army.
