Jonathan, I'd like to see a video on basic camera usage for the Ultra. Start with "this is the camera" This is how you take a picture." I've watched two of your camera videos and they are pretty advanced. I'd like to see something on an elementary beginner level? That would be so helpful. HIow to shoot basic pictures and then how to use the different cameras, etc. Thanks. Gardis in CT
I recently discovered this channel and I must say, it has become my favorite tech channel. This guy does an amazing job with his videos and I can totally see him going all the way to top. Keep up the great work! You rock!
I'm still using the 7-years old Galaxy Note 4 and I'm blown away from your videos by how much things have improved and all the things you can now do! Can't wait to upgrade and not need to use my PC so much, but will try to wait for the S22 as I'm hoping the S Pen will be built-in like the Note.
Found your channel while I was anxiously waiting for my pre-order... absolutely the best content/coverage/detail I've come across in all "tips n tricks" videos I've watched for the ~10 Galaxy devices I've owned over the years! Keep up the good work, man!
Adding a COVER IMAGE to your finished video, so it's easy to find in the folder. I'm sure Jonathan won't mind me adding something I only discovered how to do today. If you want your saved video to display a particular image as its Cover Image, then do the following. 1. Look through your video clips and choose a frame that best represents your new video. 2. Take a screenshot of that frame. 3. When you are putting your new video together, from various video clips, add the screenshot at the very beginning. (So you have: screenshot + video clip + video clip + video clip.) 4. When you SAVE the final video, the video editor will recognise that the screenshot is to be used as the Cover Image for the new video file, rather than selecting a random frame from within the video. Hope this helps, as you can also use it to add a new Cover Image to your other videos, including ones you've downloaded.
Found this video and I think is the best so far since most of other videos are hard to understand. I like Jonathan because he speaks clearly and there is no confusion. You are the best!!🤗
Thank you so much for making this video! Question: does it have the capability to combine two videos into one frame? sometimes this is called a split frame.
Great video. Thanks for all the info. When you join the videos and upload to utube I noticed the videos lose quality. Would you know why or what to do?
Very informative video. No bs, straight to the point and I actually watched the entire video. Thanks for taking the time to create this video and share it for the community!
Thank You for the informative video but I do have one question, When I go into gallery and then suggestions, it is empty and it tells me there are "No Suggestions".
Great video and thank you for all them tips. I dont suppose you (or anyone else reading this) knows if u can edit a photo and choose a plain colour for the background around the subject on the S21?
Great video but I need some help. At 13:54 you have an expanded bottom row of button that you're scrolling through. How'd you get that? I know I saw it somewhere but can't find it. Or is it not on the S22 Ultra?? FYI, I used an Exacto knife to put two scratches / thin cuts across the S-Pen over its button and two under the button. Now I can find the button FAR easier. Again, thanks for all the tips on the Ultra!!
This is so totally outstanding. Would you consider doing a series for seniors? That would mean speaking slightly slower...slightly..not dragging slow ha ha, but with a slight pause so our brains can keep up. Plus many of us are not familiar with some current terminology and have to process that before jumping to the next step.
My god I did not know we could do so much of this. Thanks for the video. Oh lol right after learning about the filter thing, I searched for Prometheus screen shots, than your next scene you did the same hah we're nerds, love it.
Thank you for this video! Super informative! I have the S21 Ultra and I can't figure out how to add a watermark or signature to certain photos I'd like to post. Any help appreciated!

I write my own music and was wondering if I have my own recording can I add my own music to a video? Like save a file on my s21 ultra from my computer?
How do you rotate your videos? I went to the Usher concert last weekend. Was so into the show mostly all my videos are sideways because I had the phone in the horizontal position 🙃🤦🏾♀️. Excellent show by the way.💯
Hey Johnathan! Great content, I really enjoy watching the S21 Ultra content. Do you still actively use the phone? Do you experience any heating? Especially when using the camera?
thank you very much, your video is very helpful man. i don't limit my editing to one app i use so many (kinemaster, inshot, powerdirector) and sometimes i use the built-in one but didn't know that it has these so many features.
Hey Johnathan. Enjoyed the video so thanks for that. Time for me to upgrade my phone which I'll use for video making. Do you prefer S21 Ultra or iPhone 13 Pro??

Just recently I got a Galaxy S22 ultra and Loving it.. and learning the in's an outs particular camera and images. I like your videos and I'm learning quite a bit. On this one in your resizing segment just happened to hit on an issue I have and wonder if there is our way around it.. can I set the save image after editing to always save as copy instead of having to make the extra couple button clicks to save as copy in the menu every time? Thank you
@jonathancasey can you tell me the name of your s21 ultra case & screenguard. Also would like to know if the screenguard stays put on your device after applying the case. Appreciate your response.
thanks. Great vids. If you edit and the image gets saved to Google Photos, can you later re-edit and have it update on Google Photos? Also if it is saved to Google Photos before you edit it, how can it be updated on Google Photos?
Nice work. You mention saving space by decreasing resolution on photos but I'm curious how any photo can revert back to original size. Does it simply interpolate the pixels?
It saves a copy when you edit a photo. However it might get deleted after a certain amount of time or if your space on the phone is low and you have auto clean up turned on in the storage settings.
Thank you for all the great information I've watched you and I really really like how you explain things I just am wondering do is the operating system for your phone Android or is it Google my phone isn't S1 I really hate it because Samsung is the account for my settings I don't think it works quite right of course it could be just me not worth making it work right I just need to figure out how to get it off and perhaps put the Android has my settings thank you thank you for the easy-to-follow directions have a fun Monday
In the beginning of the video. When you click on suggestions on the gallery about converting photos from Android to iPhone. My ultra 21 didn't show that option. Is there a way you can help me with it? Tia
I've owned this phone for a couple of years and just now beginning to try to learn how to do video. I have a question about editing a movie clip. I'm trying to use the phone to record videos of me speaking as in doing a demonstration. But when I mess up with words or stumble inside a 2 min clip and need to take out the 6-second stumble, how do I do this? It's in the middle, not at either end, so I can shorten it. Can I do this? If so, how? I'm not using "still shots" for creating movies.
Didn't even know the s21 ultra had this stuff before buying it and because of your demo I likely won't need to buy a new laptop on top of the phone. Thanks.
I do wonder about the functionality of all these features when using the Google gallery and not the Samsung one. Just looking at the sheer number of these features and their ease of applying them, I do wonder about the need to continue using my present Adobe Lightroom and Magix Videodeluxe editing programmes, I used for over some 15 years by now. For burning the end result of a single video to a BluRay disk or for producing an ISO backup file a diskburning programme like my Ashampoo Burning Studio would be all that I need. Producing a BluRay with multiple video's accessible via a common screen menu may still require an editing programme with more disk menu functions. I realize that going more deeply into this editing issues for Blurays will let the subject fall outside most people's interests.. As a sidenote: going back in time through my Google gallery for deleting those images I no longer want within the soon to be restricted free storage space, I noted the sharp improvement of fotoquality in the last 6 years when still using our digital camera's and smartphones side by side. My feeling is by now for most situations digital camera's are no longer needed for taking pictures and probably the same applies to recording video's. Most UA-cam video's focus on comparisons between the different Smartphone camera's like Samsung versus Apple top performing units. I would welcome a refocussed approach towards comparing them with highend digital camera's from Canon, Fuji and Sony as well.
Is there a way to clip the beginning and ending of a video clip and stitching them together. I'd basically like to delete the middle portion of the video.

I'd love to see a comparison between the S21 Ultra and a DSL camera
Biggest comparison is to iPhone 12 Pro Max. I took a chance and preordered and I’m coming from iPhone XR. The deals were too good to pass up.
