Religions were good for their time period now they are outdated just cherry pick the best parts from them and embrace the new religion of 21st (science and technology) the Athieism. And you're right music is Haram in Islam me being born into an Islamic family totally disgrace with this part of Islam. Same goes to all religion bondages and just bondages. The best Example I can give you - what if you're university going student where everyone is young and loves to keep up with the fashion and somebody out of nowhere enters wearing 70's style bell bottom Jeans with curly, long and rough looking hair? What will you expect from the young generation? Answer is simple they will simply laugh the hell out of you. So, that fashion was for that time period. All prophets and holy books were sent for their time period. Worshipping cows or idols might be good in primordial times. But, not in today's standards. This is why USA or West, is the most powerful nation in the history of Mankind. They have updated their religion according to today's need. Majority of them however are atheists, scientologists and etc. So, this is what I have concluded from my 29 years of life. I have never followed Islam 100% or agreed with it 100% because in my eyes it is long outdated for 1400 years and need to be updated just like Christianity, for example - sex shouldn't be considered as a taboo (forbidden in Islam also in every religion) - should be permissble in 21st which is the most basic need of human being and never ending updates we need to work on. I have found good things from Islam, And I call myself an athiest and Science and technology is my God.

NFAK is very strong singer. When we listen him we get another dimension. LM has magic in her voice when we listen we don't want to leave this dimension. I think we cannot compare these two, what we can do is listen them both and wonder different taste of music. Respect both no comparison.

All those citing Nusrat fateh ali khan as THE greatest singer of all time seem to have forgotten that there existed rafi sahab..
And NO ONE can match his talent. And, Lata ji is rafi sahab's complimentary, the voice with soul, with divinity..
Lata Ji's Sound like Goddess and Rafi Sahab Was God of Singers.. very versatile in styles of singing where as Nusrat Ji sing mostly classical or Quallis .. He also sing like Messanger of God..
It's my personal feeling and people may diffe to me.
A coin has both head and tail..They cannot be compared, they have mixed and matched India and Pakistan like heart and soul...so, pls enjoy the beauty of the song..
