I like the fact you used a CB antenna so you could still use it for a CB radio also ya thats old tech ( I was in the Nov 8 2018 Camp fire there was no cell phone service it was driving me crazy I could not call my wife wasn't sure if she got out with the kids. ) Well shy did so is there a brand of antenna you recommend
So the control box for the whips had two connections for the light strips. Then on the other side of the box it’s s just one connection for the power. We just bought an adapter for the tail light of the razor and we wired the power there. It will handle the wattage just fine.
Great video, just made a pair with smart Led strips. Are the roll bar mounts listed here for the cross bars on a Teryx? I believe the cross bars are 1-3/4 and main are 1-7/8.
Hi Buddy, the clamps come in multiple sizes. If you follow the link in the description, you should be able to chose. The ones in this video fit our RZR 1000 xp.
your list give 2 options for black shrink and none for the clear. although i think i can find it just wanted to let u know unless i am missing something. u cant choose the clear option for the black roll in shortuts
The links were posted a couple years ago. Amazon listings change occasionally. Unfortunately we can’t keep up with them when we have a few thousand links out there
Muddy boy Offroad yes the RGB is waterproof and after the clear heat shrink seals it off as well. Now fully submerged under water probably wouldn’t do that. They should be just fine in rain and stuff like that.
Looks badass and easy to do. I'm thinking of giving it a shot. I want to light up my ride all around.
Go for it, it’s not to bad of a project and it’s always cool to say you built those. 👊
what do you use to power the lights on the bike when not using the wall power

No not really, any of them will work. Just make sure they’re thicker one overall.
@@DerangedOffRoad thanks
How did you connect both together. Is the wattage work if you just slice the + and - to each other

what did you use to get the shrink wrap over the lights.. what's the dang trick..
Use an air tank and blow air in the other end and it’ll slide right over.
Air hose with air gun Is what we used..
How or what did you guys use on top tips? A cap or plug?
We used a top rubber cap
@@DerangedOffRoad cool thanks for the great write up going order everthing for a build. Might need to bite the bullet and install dash switch plate
The dash plate helps a ton 👍
@@DerangedOffRoad i know but my rzr is still pretty and clean lol
😂😂 gotcha!
How did you cap the tops? Do you run both whips off one controller?
You can buy little rubber caps or use the ones that are on the poles with shrink wrap. Yes we ran both off one controller.
@@DerangedOffRoad what was the black heat shrink used for?
To help seal the ends better to keep water out as much as possible.
Are they waterproof
Muddy boy Offroad yes the RGB is waterproof and after the clear heat shrink seals it off as well. Now fully submerged under water probably wouldn’t do that. They should be just fine in rain and stuff like that.
HOW DO YOU STEP DOWN FROM 110V TO 12V?
I just cut the wires from the power supply end and you have a red and black, just wire it up and all good.
Your link for the Quick Release Mount no longer works. Any info on the mount you used?
Ones just like these
Tram CB Antenna (217) www.amazon.com/dp/B013HK2MBE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_wpdzFbGW5ANG0
what was the price difference?
Back when we did this vid it was around $90 bucks or so for both. It’s gone up now I’m sure.
How have they held up?
They held up just fine, but we sold the machine a while back so don’t know about how they have done since. 👍
Did you use the full 25ft roll?
It came with 2 rolls and yes almost one roll each whip.
Just use your air and baby powder WOW😎
so, how flexable are these? would a spring mount be a better idea?
These are pretty flexible, I think either way you would be good. The spring mount might be the best option. -Garrett
Why we cnt get this in INDIA aaaahhh
cmon guys. There was zero "how to" in the video. We wanna know every step. Try again so we can actually learn something.
$80 for 2 whips?
Yep it was right around 80 bucks for the whips.
Not bad at all! Thanks bro!
Make sure to shop a little on Amazon prices change.
Deranged Off-Road I put everything in my cart from the links and it’s $184. Has the prices changed?
Prices all change and this video was done over a year ago. You should shop some though because prices do change a lot. 👍
Have another link to the antenna quick release mount?
Here's a link. I'll add this to the video description as well.

not really saving any money when you spend $80-90 bucks on these, you can buy a pair for $100 bucks online and save yourself the time
That's more true today than it was at the time this video was put out over 1.5 years ago
How to not do a How To Video!!!!
Not a whip.
