thank you do much for making this, it makes me annoyed though that more people haven't seen this, its a message that most people should hear. I myself am not good at this, i've been thinking for a while i should distract myself less but i haven't ever truly taken it on. And though i don't entirely understand how to truly chill myself (tips would be appreciated) I want to give it my best effort (this is an edit post sending this): today i decided to try this, chilling. on my way home i stopped off at the block my parents have yet to build on and just sat down leaning on a tree for what feels like 15 minutes, could be more could be less but it doesn't matter, the timing is not important it's the fact i was THERE, as somebody who is profoundly good at wasting time chasing entertainment i cannot recommend doing this enough it was one of the most refreshing things I've done in years
I really like this Video. This is super underrated. I installed Tiktok LONG ago but got rid of it again, although it definitely had effects on me. I always overwhelm myself with things I still need to do, I make a thousand things at once and the only time I give myself time to think is when I'm already burnt out, where the thoughts are barely thoughts anyways. I wish people would normalize that silence while spending time together is still time well spent. Me and my best friend sometimes just call and say nothing, we work together and say nothing. For a time I got insecure but I came to realize that it's sometimes more beautiful to just spend times in silence and I think your Video is correct. Boredom is important, without it we couldn't spark creativity. I remember so so many times where I just was completely bored or burnt out but got an idea that put me back on my feet
Being a digital minimalist sure helps getting out of the addiction, it changed my life, and my future career. Nowadays I just use a phone that can only handle messaging and calling, nothing more, nothing less, as for me, those extra features of smartphones are useless, and I' m not really into all-in-one gadgets, one thing for one task I'd say. For anyone wondering what they should do to get out of this unfortunate cycle, if you can, try what I did, then comeback times later and tell me how it was, as it doesn't matter if you do this just once, to change yourself, you'll have to keep up for a long period of time. Hopes for the best y'all!

Whenever I’m bored, I come up with lore for the craziest stuff in 1 minute.
