In love with it already, having mine has definitely been a trip, lots of broken parts and maintenance, but honestly I love it lol, ever since i was in highschool i wanted one of these, I just couldnt afford one. Im excited to see this build, hopefully i see yall driving it around!

As a Gen Won MS3 owner (since 2009), this makes me happy. I'll never let my '09 MS3 go. First "fun" car that I bought new. Takes me back to the "good ol days" when things were simpler. I've been slowly modding mine, getting it set up for track duty. Some simple mod ideas: freshen up those headlights with the 3M repair kit, blackout badges, CS steering wheel makes a HUGE difference. Excited to see how this develops. Depending on miles and previous maintenance, it can turn into a black hole of never ending projects lol.

Makes me miss my gen 1 😢 I have an evo x now but my gen 1 was my first car to get me into cars and has been my favorite car to own
How does the evo compare to the speed? I love my juan. I've been looking for a replacement but I can't find anything that excites me
@@marcov9808 the evo shifting is better and its more comfortable and the awd is nice . The gen 1 to me just felt super raw I loved that car it always felt like it was gonna break apart but in a good way. I don’t feel that in the evo the gen 1 just felt way more like race car to me.The evo is still fun but I would take a gen 1 after experiencing both. Im gonna buy another gen 1 eventually 😄

started watching your channel when you had your second gen and it really got me into cars. I had bought a first gen sport the base one and fell inlove with the mazdaspeed platform I miss my speed 3 everyday. I think this might be the first giveaway I enter and buy stuff bc your channel helped me grow as an enthusiast but taught me so much ✊🏼

I believe that gas cap was an options from dealership. I had a speed3 first gen 2007 and it had normal paint match cap. My buddy had the 2008 first gen and also had paint match cap.

Yo! This car in high school was legit! My mom had a 2008 Mazda 3 2.3L Sedan with a manual. I wish I bought it from her. She sold it recently with 60k miles on it.

That billet fuel door was a factory accessory option, most came with the regular fuel door.
I have a 2009 Mazdaspeed 3 that has all the mods on it from the previous owner. It’s a blast to drive! By the way that fuel door definitely isn’t stock.
So miss my MAZDA 3 MPS, looking forward ti this series of videos... here in Australia, they're still going for 10 to 15k

Just got my Gen1 speed3 in June of 2021, just starting to build it this year as i wanted to enjoy it stock for a bit. Ive always wanted one since i was in highschool from 09-12. Thought it was the coolest car because its essentially a Sleeper. Looks like a normal Mazda3 to most people. A lot of "car people" dont even know about these cars. I will disagree with you on 1 thing. the Gen1 is better ;) great content! You got a new sub. cant wait to see what you guys all do to this!
rear motor mount but also check the transmission mount. same clunking noise i’ve had and it was from the trans mount

I have had my 2005 Ford Focus St 2.3 5 speed manual since my daughter turned 1 and shes now 10. Its got 188k on it and I still love the car.....almost same motor minus the turbo.....ill drive this car until the engine or tranny falls out...
I have the same version and have the same clunking from the suspension, I have done so much work so by myself like the clutch, HPFP, short shifter, sound system. It’s going to be nice seeing my car but not my car actually get worked on
One of the first things you gotta do is upgrade your HPFP internals. It is by far the weakest point and you can lose fuel at WOT, destroying your engine. You never really know when it comes to a previous owner, they may say it has upgraded internals but doesn't, so get that done before you really push the car.
What the heck, what is the navigation package? I have a MS3 GT and it doesn’t have those controls nor the pop up display

For some reason that red mazdaspeed oil cap doesn't fit on my speed and the engine hasn't been swapped to my knowledge
Man I wish I would have looked at UA-cam sooner I just traded in my Mazda and I had a brand new radio for it that would fit in that, it was made for that car not some Chinese off brand woulda just given it to you guys instead of a dealership that is just gonna take it out :(
