Do mortgage lender "Front Load" in the UK? Ie you pay more interest than capital in the first say 12 years on a 30 year term? Of is this practise NOW illegal? Reason for asking is if we renew our Mortgages ever 2 years with a different lender to get a better deal does the clock of interest loading at tge start restart?

Hi, what is a recommended emergency fund amount?
It will vary from person to person. But general rule of thumb is to aim for at least 3months of your monthly salary saved in your emergency fund!
