They probs just say their vtuber name and only say their real name in public spaces so that they don't get find out. It's easier to hide it if you accidentally say your vtuber name in public than hiding your real name online.
Basically what the others have said. Their daily job is literally centered around them "playing" a character, so it would be wise to get them to be used to calling each other by their online names (especially when they're talking through discord, which is how they talk to each other on stream) so they don't accidentally blurt out the real names on stream.
