      @@zs8796 what i don't get is why adesanya let pereira walk him down the entire fight. He was in most trouble against the cage and kept backing up. I thought when he saw his counters were landing he would stop doing that. Reminds me of ivan drago vs creed "that style just won't beat a man like that"

      @@TH4_EO like the other guy said, and the idea of darting away laterally when you're cornered is simple enough, but I imagine having poatan stand in front of you, in range to round kick you at will, discourages you from committing to a single direction, in case he throws something that intercepts perfectly.

      Days of raging and going with the flow are gone now for Dustin. Obviously he was always a humble fighter but now he just fights for himself, his family and his charity. The fans, the fighters, the fights themselves don't control him at all. He is above these dominions. Wish he could win a championship though. The way he mentions 2 losses to RNC in title fights is just straight up pain. The man could rest peacefully if he gets the gold once.

That being said he's still my favourite fighter, but yeah the Dagestani style is probably his worst matchup

      The commentary was biased af for Chandler when he was on the feet. Dustin’s guard was blocking the majority of Mike’s punches and they made no mention of it. And the referee not catching the fish hook…
      The officials were wildly against Dustin tonight.

    Fireworks of a fight. Dustin's jiu jitsu always been underrated. Was surprised that he was too afraid to use it against Oliveira. First time Chandler been submitted, MMA is extremely unpredictable...

      Not underrated, people wasnt just aware of it. Hes jiu jitsu credentials was always mentioned and nobody ever said he was bad at jiu jitsu. Same thing as makhachev being good at striking but people was just unaware of how good he was at striking.

    If it wasn't for a slight deficiency in his grappling/wrestling, he would easily be champion and probably the most deserving of them all. The guy has fought the absolute elite, in the most elite weight class for so long now, but is still as sharp as he ever was. Absolute warrior.

      Honestly I wouldn't even call it a deficiency. The grapplers that he's lost against just happen to be absolute masters at what they do. Dustin's already well rounded, but guys like Nurmagomedov and Oliveira are just spectacular at their ground game.

      Well, chandler tried.. Using more wrestling was a good strategy, but he almost emptied his whole tank in round 1 and that backfired. He took a gamble unloading on Poirier after he got him hurt; and he lost that bet.

    Good win for Dustin, but speaking on Chandler. I truly do believe that he's the most athletically gifted fighter at 155. If he just sharpened up on his skills and his approach to the fight he would become a bigger monster than he already is at lightweight.
