If the inside of your garage doesn't smell like fuel, then your vintage bike needs more carb tinkering. The CB sounds real good now. The countless times I've taken carbs back off when I should've verified all was proper the first time. Even put floats back in upside down that's always a joy. Big puddle of fuel all over the garage floor. During third time carb removal, discovered my '75 RD350 had 140 mains, needle clip was in 2nd groove and air screws had to be turned in way too far. Mid-range had flat spots, so put the stock 105 main and 25 pilots back in, moved needle clip down to 4th groove from stock 3rd and backed out air screws to just under two full turns. Voila! Runs a little on the rich side, but that's never bad with a two-smoker. Never used Kroil, but I do like T-9 Boeshield and Sea Foam Deep Creep. Best wishes on your spring fire sale!
,,360 upgraded ,,350 with 6 speed gear box true 350 cc displacement less horse power. If you have a good 360 retrofit with an old 350 cam grind an timing.do a decent job of cleaning up and porting the exhaust and intake tune your carburetors well. Up your compression some and have a real runner.
That sounds interesting but probably a little more than I want to get into with most of these bikes that I just get running and then send on to others!
@@DoItYourselfDoItRight yes I had a 70 cb350 then a 360 I sold to my brother. I still have a CL 350 and my brother-in-law's 360 that he overhauled in high school. Great bikes.
