Janna has so much peal and ms when going towards allied champs too, none of that was even enough- but it would have been if she just dodged the Zeri W, and actually made proper use of her tornado. But yes, of course it is all the Soraka's fault.
Thanks for the walkthrough! After watching your channel for almost a year I finally took the plunge and played League for the first time ever. I was considering Soraka as an easy support, but the recent uploads gave me confidence to try her mid and I like how the build feels! Gotta try against real people and not bots now. 😊

This game is a perfect example of showcasing the difference between challenger and diamond. There were a lot of outplays by Pekin that made big differences. I'd like to see another.

8:55 the sequence, Pekin uses R but not w and then misses w at the end (albeit barely).

@@nobodynobody5396 he uses w to get her topped up , then they go two seperate paths surrounding wolves, his W is still on CD so he tries to hit a Q so when his W comes up he can combo it. Sadly janna just died to zeri and there was not much he could have done to prevent that.

i really love Soraka mid, but i think the support build is better, no matter how much ap you get, the damage doesn't seem to change
Her Q is a .35 AP ratio, so even if you have 500AP it's only adding 175 damage. I agree it definitely seems like a support build is the better option
@@KingJerbear I disagree, its .35 on the damage and .3 on the healing, the total scaling thus being .65, Its important to notice soraka's Q isn't all about damage but actually about the difference in hp it creates by both damaging and healing at the same time. With a 4 second base cd that .65 adds up pretty quickly.
Moonstone is useless if you have no one besides you which makes any lane matchup past mythical an auto loss unless you are either roaming as a maniac or being camped.
Everfrost on the other hand costs mostly the same, builds up from chapter, gives more AP, more CC, an active with .3 scaling damage which also makes sure you hit both parts of equinox, turning it into a 340 + .8 ap + root ability, which is like xerath's W levels of damage.
i love soraka mid so much, its so entertaining watching people get shut down by a healer

Soraka mid has frequently been strong. She can be played both as a lane bully and super-safe, due to how her Q works. She has a global ultimate that can be used to both assist teammates and farm assist gold when timed properly. She has a really powerful utility ability in her instant-cast, unavoidable silence. She provides great sustain in protracted base sieges, allowing her to help her team really leverage even small advantages.
She feels like taking Karma or Lux mid: good on their own, but the real power is their ability to act as a force multiplier in those mid-game teamfights.

i've played against rumble quite a fair number of times and almost always lose the 1v1, unless i'm on a bruiser or something.

when i play ap soraka mid i find one of the best items is archangels staff!! if you look at seraph’s passive you see it gives health back for mana spent, so basically you’re getting the ap and cdr while also healing more and being a more annoying soraka!!

Curious how a liandrys/rylais/demonic build would be on her, stacking HP% burn while kiting and stacking HP. Still enough AP for heals and damage to be reliable, and liandrys gives her s ton of damage regardless of how much AP she has since her ratios aren’t the best.

rumble is a champion that when he dies is super agonizing, imagine he uses the ejector the equipment fails because the parachute doesn't open and besides falling flat on the ground his body catches fire while he's still alive. lol

there actually is quite a few soraka mid high elo, seen at least two gms and maybe one challenger? otp on them. although they actually played a legit build and lvled their w
also taking atk spd rune to help last hit is a lot of help
also make sure to take dseal early, great item on her. also sup item after first item is good too
also make sure to heal allies when u hit a q even if they arent in risk of dying, (but still less than 100%hp, unless u want to give spd)

Honestly max w second over e seems way better, e damage is pretty sad even max level and your w heals were also really sad, one of the benefits for laning soraka is your heals in theory are way bigger.
E damage is pretty good but it just somewhat relies on hitting the second part but beyond that having an aoe silence on lower CD also helps. It's also about being able to keep up with your laner because w is useless while in 1v1.
That is true. For me, it's post laning with lvl 1 w your utility is kinda not the best, silence and a potential root is good but your damage falls off faster than more traditional mages since raka ain't meant to dps. Personally I'm just hesitant to take that path with her.
@@RanPizza In those cases you either play a more roaming style and sacrifice lane and max w or you go three points into e then max w.

Soraka mid is honestly making me reconsider my decision to quit the game lmao
If you rewatch your first dead, you took way too long to activate barrier. You ate all the dmg and activated barrier way too late even after rumble ignited you.
This would be true if the full barrier damage wasn't used, but the full 100 damage it can absorb was used and didn't just expire, so whether or not he used barrier immediately or at the end he still would have died since it was just a single all in burst. A 100 damage barrier then 300 hp is the same as 299 hp then a 100 barrier shield then 1 hp if the full barrier is used.
One thing Pekin does quite a bit is saving things like shields or heals until just before dying because it can bait the other person into thinking they can kill when they can't, so by saving it until close to death he is creating a potential opportunity for Rumble to misplay. Obviously it didn't work here, but because the barrier shield does get fully consumed even using it at the end rather than the beginning Pekin still would have taken that full amount of damage to it up front and died to the damage following.
@@Smoteful Actually no, ignite killed him, enemy ignited after the barrier and shields do not absorb ignite DMG(true damage).
