Here're my complaints: Why hasn't this remarkable, hope-filled, brilliant book, been reviewed yet by the NYTimes or other mainstream publication, who keep some-- at the very least--reasonably intelligent book reviewers on hand! Part 2: How 'bout a book launch party at the Incubator, inviting the public and press, where Dickson presents a condensed talk giving an overview of the book with a q&a after. Meantime, after I get my copy, I'm going to want it autographed🫶
Thank you, Professors! This discussion has definitely gotten my wheels turning. The city I live in (Wilmington, DE) is building/renovating like crazy, and it'd be great to get a few copies into some of our city planners' hands. I'll get the word out.
I wonder what Dickson would think of building blocks made of compressed recycled plastic . I think they bind together because of the heat that’s generated when they’re compressed so no need for a binding agent. I’d be interested to know about their insulating and fire resisting properties. I would think they might have their uses . I think far too much water, often potable, is used up in the endless unnecessary showering and bathing that people indulge in these days when a very small jug of water carefully applied daily is all that’s required. I think this could be a huge water/energy/time saving opportunity. Why hasn’t Just Stop Oil targeted CocaCola to stop them using plastic bottles instead of glass?
I love how they bleeped out the parasite transmission portion of inadequate disposal systems prior to the outhouse. Also Spaghetti sauce was supposedly invented as a result of trash being tossed out the window.
There seem to be some teensy weensy errors in the book. Like Jericho (not!) being the oldest city for example. I'll look into the book and seriously hope it's a collaboration between people competent in the varying areas of expertise we need. Plus I hope it has been edited well, fact checked etc. ...
what happened at 39:32? did he come out of that clip looking like the fool, or was it you? either way, terrible and unimpressive editing. everyone will notice it.

Great topic for a book Dickson.
Hey Dixon. You are a very interesting man. I shall buy and read your book. You’re my favourite of all the TWIV gang. Live long and stay healthy.

If someone hasn't done this already - quickly get Dickson booked on some talk shows; local and national. Use this video to sell the idea.

Nh4 is ammonium. Not ammonia.
Fab! Is there an audio RSS feed I can use for my podcast app?
I wonder what impact these built cities have as a direct result of all of the mirrors and glass on buildings.
