I am just amazed that every bike you carry is available to test ride. I will be in visiting your stores and watch customers ride 5 or more bikes to get that one that makes the Magic Happen for Them. I still remember my first test ride they took me out and helped me with learning all the controls and hill climbing techniques for mid drive motors. I now have had e-bike for 8years and 30,000 miles of FUN!!!!!! Jed C.
No the internal battery is fully integrated like the Vado SL so not removable. It is the one trade-off for keeping the weight down and simplifying the lines but doesn't work for everyone.
@@thenewwheel such a bummer for those of us in cold climates that don't have heated garages. This bike would be perfect for what I'm looking for but I wouldn't be able to charge it half the year! Thanks for the review.
This bike offers a lot more performance and speed. There isn't any noticeable trade-off for the lower weight except for battery range (which can be solved by adding the Bosch PowerMore battery). On the Vado SL the weight is a bit lower but the performance is significantly less.
Good question. We haven’t test that but our recommendation is the touring drivetrain for steep hill climbing. You’ll get a much wider gear range and since it is linkglide, service intervals are much longer than chain drivetrains of the past.

You two have these reviews down...so informative and practical advice. Always a joy to watch and learn. Thanks for sharing this review...
Thank you for the kind words!
Another great review! I still love my Tern HSD, and also love watching videos about new ebikes :) Can't wait to see if you all review the R&M Carrie!
Oh that is definitely the plan. We are super excited for that bike!
COOL bike! BEST SHOP!
☺
Can the battery be removed for charging? Love the Specialized Vado SL but can’t take the battery off it.

@@sarahastings-simon8800 Ah yes that is an issue indeed.

Thank you! Yes it is such a cool bike and such a joy to ride!
Venom is such a cool name for that color...

How would you compare this to the Specialized Turbo Vado SL 5.0?

Just bought it in Szwitzerland … best urban e bike ever! Greetings from Geneva … and thanks for your great review👍
Great choice! Congratulations. Hello from SF!
This or Gazelle Eclipse for a city/paved trails bike?
Both could be great options. Are you able to come in for a test ride?

How does it handle SF with enviolo?

No front rack frame mounting points?! Some RM bikes got em. It's plain better. I strapped 10lbs groceries on top of my weird ➰ handlebars. Sucks.
Yes no front rack. But the rear rack is heavy duty and you can click in nice MiK accessories to fit your use case.
