That´s him singing. It´s amazing how good he sounds.
Totally! I can here his little "lisp" -- God, I hope it's amazing... like Austin Butler with Elvis...
He sings, makes chocolates, sees the future, and plays the guitar.
Timothèe Chalamet is a jack of all trades.
As a life long Dylan fan, this is gonna be AWESOME! Dylan was an executive producer on the film, and by the way at 83 years old Dylan is currently touring for his latest LP "Rough and Rowdy Ways." Timothee saw Dylan perform in Brooklyn NY last fall.
Actually so impressed how much he sounds like him.
@@dr.snootles7421 yes he does, he wouldn't be doing the movie if people thought he didn't
He may not look like Dylan, but that’s an astonishing impersonation. This has the makings to be up there with Val Kilmer and Jamie Foxx as Morrison and Ray…
@@chaniquasmith6258 great call. Thank you for that…you are simply the best…
@@chaniquasmith6258 great call. Thank you for that. You are simply the best…
His hair looks like Dylan - and his voice 😮 wow sounds a lot like Bob. I’m impressed!
Sounds nothing like Dylan. Dylan is a fabulous singer, this is a cheap, cheap copy from Guangzhou
@@Azabaxe80the real Dylan sings better than this.
*Dylan can't sing like Picasso can't paint!!!*
I went up to Edward Norton at around 5am on the last shoot day of the Newport Folk Festival 1965 in Mountainside, New Jersey and said something like “Mr. Seeger, whatever happens in Folk Club stays in Folk Club”, and he agreed…
The moment he started singing my eyes widened, jaw dropped then transcended into an ear to ear smile and I started laughing out of pure astonishment, granted the nose might be slightly problematic and his turn in as Dylan feels like an embodied representation rather than a skin deep transformation but nonetheless there are plenty of highlights from the crew and the cast to behold here and I truly do feel that Tim is going to receive several nominations for this. I Believe this is gonna be a well received film which at the very least will be perfectly adequate.
eh, I don't think the nose is problematic. we jews have middle eastern levantine noses. including Bob Dylan. and what I LOVE is that an ethnically Jewish man (Chalamet) is actually playing another ethnically jewish man. that makes me very very happy. had this been a non jew playing this role, and then adjusting his nose (cough Bradley Cooper cough) I would have been livid.
@@CynicalDuchess and just to clarify my friend what I meant in regards to the nose is that the prosthetic looks a little obvious than it does natural.
Wow, Timmy never ceases to amaze me with his talent. I’ve been watching most of his movies and he is able to present the characters he plays with each performance drawing you into the story. After watching Wonka and knowing he can sing with a wonderful voice I am totally astonished he was able to sound like Dylan. Although I’m not a fan of Dylan’s unique voice, I do enjoy his music and, would enjoy this movie to watch Timmy give us a glimpse of Bob Dylan’s rise to fame and seeing Elle Fanning perform again. Thank you for all the hard work in making this movie.
First off, it’s not about whether or not he looks like Dylan, or any real person any actor plays (though, to be honest, he looks enough like young Dylan to pass for him), it’s about tapping into and exposing the soul of the person they’re playing.
And, also, it doesn’t hurt that his vocalizations as Dylan when singing are pretty spot on, and that’s a huge plus. I understand Chalamet worked with the same vocal coach that worked to make Austin Butler pass, vocally, as Elvis Presley.
Additionally, Chalamet is one of the most exciting, transformational, and devoted young actors to blossom in front of our eyes in a long time. He’s smart, good looking, versatile and, best of all, not afraid to take on challenging roles that lesser actors would recoil in fear from.
His trajectory has been very similar to that of young Leonardo DiCaprio. Both started with small roles in independent films, both broke out carefully with big directors, both received their first Oscar nominations at around the same age, and both carried giant epic productions on their backs that lesser actors would run from (DiCaprio had Titanic, Chalamet has Dune).
I think Chalamet is very careful about what he chooses and, because of that, he’s rarely delivered anything less than stellar performances even in the most mundane of films (he’s absolutely terrific in Woody Allen’s tiny A RAINY DAY IN NEW YORK).
I’ve been studying cinema and the art of screen acting for the better part of 60 years…
I can say, without hesitation, that Chalamet is going to be one of the most sought after and respected actors of his generation and one of the biggest movie stars over the next several decades.
That’s a rare thing. Few (Jack Nicholson, Marlon Brando, James Cagney, Bette Davis, Tom Hanks, Daniel Day-Lewis, Meryl Streep) have been able to achieve both.
Chalamet may be added to that vaulted list.
Brando and Nicholson comparison? Tell me you wasted 60 years watching cinema without telling me.
@@rawbylaw4717 You're right---I'd never consider Nicholson, who plays a type (but well) on the same list as Brando, who was a trained theatrical actor. Nicholson is almost always the same....Chalamet is not. Let's wait to judge his career overall.
@@rawbylaw4717 Obviously they haven't had the same length of career yet. You can only compare him to actors when they were *his age*, and by that metric, he beats everyone, including his closest comparison, Leo DiCaprio. Maybe Mickey Rooney beats him.
yeah. and I give him A for effort but he doesn't look like him and he doesn't expose the soul of Dylan either. I get the soul of Timothee coming through. How the hell could anyone convey Dylan. He's extremely unique.
@@wordswordswords8203 First, everyone acknowledged that he doesn't look like Dylan. We do NOT expect biopic actors to be lookalikes. [See almost all other biopic actors, almost none of whom have the same face as their subject.] Second, there is no way anyone could judge whether he exposes the soul of Dylan or not from a trailer. We'd need to see the whole film before judging that, and that would include all the acting and spoken dialogue as well as the singing.
I am blowned away by Timothee's singing voice, what a singer!!!!!
it's amazing aint it...what people have been allowed to believe. If the kid could sing that well he wouldn't be acting. and yet...he acts so well...why would he need to sing.
@@out_spocken Have you heard his rendition of “Everything Happens To Me” from A Rainy Day in New York? I suspect it’s a fairly accurate rendition using his own voice.
Yes, well Bob could never sing, so it’s not a stretch for Timmy-Tim. I can’t wait till he grows up into a man. He’s still got a lot of young boy in him.
It's definitely worth going to the movies! I'm going to go. My fav Timothee. I hope he gets the Oscar👍
Cate Blanchett still my favorite Bob Dylan, but I have my hopes up on timmy.
no way galadriel played as bob dylan, yeah now i know what i'm going to be watching next
Thank you thank
You he will be amazing as always
He puts his all into all his movies
Well, I don't know if it's Oscar bait, but it's definitely Mark bait. Love me some Dylan!
that Edward Norton Pete Seeger impression is TOO GOOD
... I had to rewatch after reading your comment...that is Edward Norton... I saw his name in the end credits and thought to myself "I don't remember seeing him in the preview"... I'm still awestruck over Timothee's "Dylan"... looks interesting, cheers...
@@alannazaritz5396 I was afraid he would play him poorly but so far he looks spot on. Everyone has gone all in on their roles. I think you need to when representing the best song writer of all time
I’m not sorprised. Edward Norton is one of the best. Underrated?? Maybe!
Perfect choice to play Dylan. Cannot wait for this movie.
Mr.Norton captures the cadence of Pete's speaking voice beautifully. I felt like Pete was alive again.
Does anyone think that Timothee Chalamet in the thumbnail looks like a young Patrick Dempsey.
Wow! Enormous Dylan fan, had concerns if he and they could pull it off....impressed.
OSCAR hopefully Timothee Chalamet will be getting into award season next year hopefully.
@ludwigwittgenstein2422 he's probably going to be getting some oscar buzz so get over it.
My Uncle loved Bob Dylan. My mother and I think of him often when we hear Bob Dylan on the radio(She and my Uncle grew up in the 60s). I showed my mother this trailer and her words were "Don't let me miss this."
Chalamet Best Actor winner at 2025 Oscars. Hollywood loves bio pics
Yes!!! And yes !! Well- Timothée is amazing in anything he does & always 1,000% gives his BEST! Hence his many wins & Nominations! 🏆 🥇 & the heavily Award nominated, great Director James Mangold is the one that directed “Walk the Line!” - which got Reese Whitherspoon her Oscar & Joaquin Phoenix was nominated for best Actor
Oscar, but sadly lost to PHILIP Seymour Hoffmann in “Capote”, although I, & manyyy others firmly believe Joaquin should’ve won the Oscar!! 🏆 👏🏼 Go a Timothée!! 🌟 💫
Heee, it depends.
Starman is better than bohemia rhapsodi and I didn't win anything, Elvis was average in that aspect.
I guess Dune weighs more today.
It'll be poetic justice if it happens; he deserved the Oscar for Call Me By Your Name, but what's-his-name (no disrespect intended, can't recall his name) won for playing Winston Churchill. But Timmy announced his presence for sure in the brilliant, moving "Call Me..."; you knew a great new talent had arrived---! :)
Ed Nortons back. Bout time
He continues to amaze me!
How my love for Timmy is growing. I'm in.
Having Edward Norton as Pete Seger is a brilliant piece of casting. This looks like a good biopic, 'can't wait to see it.
Well done T, well done. 😅❤
I've learned to play guitar with Bob Dylan songs. I was 12 years old and used to watch Vietnam War news on TV. Another time, another world...
Cannot believe this is happening.... Elle Fanning and Timothee Chalamet in thesame movie again!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉
Bob Dylan and Timothée Chalamet? Yes, please!
This gave me chills.
Definitely a must see.
He deserves 1.2.3...Oscar's! An angel in our earth❤
YES
James Mangold is a great director- this’ll be awesome!
Impressive vocals😮
It's crazy that as many accolades as Dylan has gotten he's still way underrated.
I think Dylan is rated highly enough in our culture today. And has been for a long time.
he will win the Oscar for this .....
Songs dances he plays piano beautifully, guitar, he acts all characters, he's so attractive... Entire world lives him❤❤❤❤
LES GO BOB DYLAN MOVIE!!!
It’s about time someone produced a film based on the early part of Dylan’s career; I hope it includes telling the story of his romance with Joan Baez.
He seems perfect for the part - I hope he'll get an Oscar nomination for it! I know roles in biopics tend to be first in line, but ooohhh, he seems to be soooo convincing. He ssems to be on a roll to getting all the hot parts in movies right now.
wow this spin-off to inside llewyn davis looks great
Timotee chalamet is legit the best actor of the last 15 years and the next 30yrs. We are witnessing an icon in the making. A young daniel day lewis.
Jep, Dune was awesome but also Bones and all, King and Lady Bird!
Can't wait to see this one.
Blown away right away by Norton's Pete Seeger, the voice was excellent
I haven’t seen the movie yet but Timothee Chalamet deserves an Oscar for portraying Bob Dylan. He sounds just like him.
Took me about 30 seconds to completely burst into tears. Thank you.
I smell an Oscar for Chalamet. This actually looks quite promising.
I love you Timothee and Elle ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Man, Chalamet is just killing it.
He looks like Billie Joe Armstrong mocking Bob Dylan, but gosh, the singing is almost amazingly similar to Dylan's! I felt sick when I saw first shots, but I like the way Joan Baez looks in this movie and freaking Edward Norton as my beloved Pete Seeger... Jesus, I want to watch it so bad
I smell a best actor nod
Damn, he killed it on the vocals
Not a fan of Chalamet, to be honest, but that was a VERY accurate representation of how early Dylan sounded. Dylan's voice went through some pretty radical changes, even album to album, in the '60s, and I think it would have been very easy for most actors to jump into the Blond On Blonde sound, or Highway 61, but nope, he nailed that. Feeling a little better about the movie after having seen this.
So many damn haters...why cant y'all just enjoy art and the painters that inspire us to a new level of euphoric understanding.
You fail to get Social Media--it's half of the time the uneducated given a voice, or trolling for attention, or, more often than not, the random thoughts of mediocrity.
He sounds so good and I’m really excited for this movie!! The kids at the end - I think are supposed to be Edward Nortons children, the family was well casted and I’m excited to see this in theaters!
he nails it!
Timothee is so talented. Amazingly
Finally!!! just can’t wait , love , love love the trailer
hairdresser needs a raise. his hair is PERFECT
I didn't watch Elvis biopic but this one with Timothee I can't wait... ❤❤❤❤
Goosebumps. This looks and sounds great.
He's winning best actor Oscar for this
wow what a role!! congrats Timmy T.!!!!!
Chalamet é um grande ator....🇧🇷
Gave me goose bumps. I thought I was seeing my own memory up onscreen.
I hate Hollywood and I don't go to the movies but ironically I did suspend my disgust long enough to see both Dune movies and will do so again to see this film as well. TC is a fine young actor.
I’m impressed! What an incredible actor he is.
This trailer is amazing
I have zero interest in anything Bob Dylan... But Timothee Chalamet is going to make me want to go see this... damn
This makes me so happy so many young people will be exposed to the real story of a true legend
got goosebumps, wanna see this movie
So stoked to see this film at Christmas time. Marvin Gaye, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell are in a class by themselves. I hope Dylan has come to terms with some of his misogynistic actions of the past. In 1967 there was his brutal condescending parody of Bobbie Gentry's classic story song Ode to Billie Joe. His song, Answer to Ode : Clothesline Saga, was a demeaning vile piece of his art designed to mock and humiliate a fellow singer-songwriter. Gentry rose above it telling the press at the time "he's entitled to his own opinion". Over a half century later, Ode to Billie Joe has 265 covers and over 50 million in record sales. It was placed on the Library of Congress National Register for its social and historic significance and in 1999 joined the Grammy H.O.F list.. Then there was his infamous 1970's Rolling Stone interview where he had the audacity to state there was not a single major female poet in the entire English language. When pressed on the matter he sarcastically retorted "who Emily Dickenson?" It knocked Dylan off his pedestal for me reminding us all that every human on this earth is flawed in some shape form or fashion.
I don't usually watch any kind of musical or based in real life movies like this, but I gotta say that this is so astonishing, and it makes me want to watch it.
Yes he's a complete person and that's why we love him so much❤❤❤❤
Yes he's gorgeous the better young actor to add at your list ❤❤❤❤
beautiful trailer & music , very Deep
Can't wait. Great casting.
Oh yeah I can't wait for this.
SOLD! Looking forward to this one. Early Dylan is still one of the best lyricists of all time.
I just cannot wait to see this!
He deserved an Oscar for every movie he did, CMBYN, Dune part 1 and 2,a rainy day in NY, beautiful boy, king, Wonka., and so on.... ❤
This was a daunting task to undertake. I appreciate the effort.
What’s this? A real movie? A movie with no superheroes or car chases? How can this be.? Sarcasm aside… Love Bob Dylan and Timothy is doing an amazing job. Crossing my fingers and hoping it’s great. I’ll settle for just very very very good. The music alone gave me goosebumps.
Can't wait to see it!I can tell he's sin ging the songs himself.... way to go Tim!
He can do everything.! He's a super hero ❤❤❤❤
May thy guitar chip and shatter.
Perfect casting.
Thank god you don't do casting...he looks nothing like Dylan.. And his lip syncing is terrible.
@@jackhammer0101 Actually I am a casting agent. That's why my name is AgentMoray. Who would you have cast?
@@jackhammer0101 the three seconds of lip syncing in that trailer was completely spot on. And he looks enough like him to embody the character. Go to Vegas if you want to see impersonators.
And you say "thank God you don't do casting" as if the role wasn't already cast and the film wasn't already shot. You're not just wrong, you're also kinda dumb
I didn't think Chalamet had it in him. I'm impressed

I might actually go to the movies to see it. looks good.
OMG he sounds Amazing 🤩✨💞💖 Timothée sounds just like Bob Dylan singing voice ! They must of tweeted his nose because his nose doesn’t look the same !!
I had some doubts, but this looks really good.
Timothee worked with the same vocal coach that coached Austin Butler as Elvis. This is going to be epic!
The S's ain't right. Soz
Not that great then?
