  • The 9th Churches Visitation is a Christian, especially Roman Catholic, Lenten tradition to visit seven churches on the evening of Maundy Thursday. Following the Mass of the Lord's Supper, the Blessed Sacrament is placed on the Altar of Repose in the church for Adoration.

    📍The 1st Station is Daraga Church,
    Nuestra Señora de la Porteria Parish Church (also Our Lady of the Gate Parish Church), commonly known as Daraga Church, is a Roman Catholic Church in the municipality of Daraga, Albay, Philippines under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Legazpi. The church was built by the Franciscans in 1772 under the patronage of the Our Lady of the Gate. Certain church sections were declared as a National Cultural Treasure of the Philippines in 2007.
    📍The 2nd Station is Old Albay Church
    The Cathedral Parish of Saint Gregory the Great (Filipino: Parokyang Katedral ni San Gregorio Magno), also known as Legazpi Cathedral and locally as Albay Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral dedicated to Saint Gregory the Great in the Old Albay District of the city of Legazpi, Albay, in the Bicol region of the Philippines. It is the seat of the Diocese of Legazpi. In 2018, a historical marker of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines was unveiled at the cathedral.

    📍The 5th Station is
    STO. DOMINGO CHURCH
    The Parish Church of St. Dominic de Guzman is the most prominent landmark in the quaint and picturesque town of Sto. Domingo. Built in 1820, the church is built with massive solid stone walls unsupported by pillars. Two dome-shaped belfries give a graceful symmetry to the church. Since cement was not yet used during the construction of the Sto. Domingo church, massive stone walls were built using a mixture of lime, egg albumin, and "tangguli" (or molasses) that serve as binder and hardener.
    📍The 6th Station is Malilipot Albay Church
    Mt. Carmel Parish
    The town's church was first built in 1789 by Fr. Simeon Vasquez. The present church was started in 1851 and completed in 1877. The church grounds have a good view of Mayon Volcano.

    Bonga Bacacay Albay
    Saint John Nepomucene Parish of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Legazpi was established on --. It is located at Brgy. Bonga, Municipality of Bacacay, Province of Albay. The Parish Fiesta is celebrated every 16th day of May.
    📍The 8th station is
    San Jose Malilipot Albay Sagrada Familia encountered several construction stops and delays.
