In this video Keaton unboxes and checks out the brand new Rippton CatchX Bait Boat. He goes through what is in the box, a few specification, a few thoughts and a few insites.

After Keaton has thouroughly tested the CatchX, he does a full review, letting you know all of the specifications,the positives and negatives. He takes you through what the CatchX is capable of and his favourite ways to use the CatchX. After all of that, Keaton gives you his final verdict and thoughts on the CatchX Smart Bait Boat.
Since the launch of the video, I have tested the CatchX with the Deeper Chirp+ and the connection between my phone and the Deeper dropped out when the Deeper was further than 30m out. When the boat was turned off and the Deeper was cast from the same spot, the Deeper's range returned to 100m.

It sucks but this kind of problem happens to many bait boats and wifi based signals so when you pick your bait boat one day, just test it before you commit.

Awesome video mnr. Love this boat...... honestly what do you think of the selling price based on the other boats in SA?
I think at that price range, there are a few boats to contend with. I think its best to weigh up the pros and cons of each boat in the price range and then choose the one that suites your needs / fishing requirements best.

Would you recommend this boat or is there a better boat? Can it withstand medium waves? Do you work at sea?
For the price point there are a few options on the market. So it depends on what you want from your boat. Medium fresh water waves would be ok but nothing more as it isn't the fastest boat

Like I said it depends on what you want. The catch x has auto features, other boats are faster, other boats have better bait distribution, etc it all depends on what you want from a boat. And I have gone 300m and it didn't disconnect
