"Pour que tu m'aimes encore" (English: "So That You Love Me Again") was written and produced by Jean-Jacques Goldman and became one of Céline Dion's signature songs. The lyrics tell of a woman who is emotionally dependent on a partner that has left her for another and they culminate in a desperate plea itering that she would turn herself into gold so that he will love her again.

Uhm READ MY COMMENT!! I said she is "IN FRENCH AS GOOD SINGER AS IN ENGLISH". I love her FRENCH music. Im starting to study french next fall at school. Last April I was on a vacation in Paris in FRANCE and it was best trip of my life! I dont like this song BUT I like many other french songs by Celine Dion. Im gonna be honest. I really dont like this song very much. Its nice and touching but I just dont like it so much. Its her most popular french song but for me really not so amazing. Celine Dion is in french as good singer as english and she has so much incredible french pieces. SO, you dont have to always like from the hit songs. There is other song also.

But I thought since she performs nearly on a daily basis,and the producers can't afford a weak night with her singing out of tune, they might have added a little autotune magic to the already overprocessed voice sound..

If you think this sounded like autotune, then you do not know Céline Dion! Her voice is very unique, no one on earth has her voice or can even think of imitating her voice. Saying that her voice sounded like autotune is a very mean insult towards Céline Dion.
I beg to differ. The vocals were processed at the mixing desk...to a ridiculous extent. If you can't hear that, you've never heard a live unadulterated vocal...or maybe you've forgotten how people sounded before electronic manipulation. It's just that she doesn't really need it, does she.?
I prefer Céline singing in French as well ! That's more natural cause it's her mother's tongue I guess... I miss her, France misses her !!! We are the first population who accepted her while she was starting singing... We're proud of her !! What a great singer !!!! Céline, ON T'AIME !!!
This is the most beautiful song I have ever had the privilege of viewing and hearing. Celine is so amazingly beautiful and talented I can hardly stand it! She is seriously my number one artist/person/role model. I can't even explain in words how much I love this woman. :D

Occasionally, the song becomes the artist, i.e., no other's could emulate 'Love Me Tender', or 'California Blue', or 'Better Be Home Soon', & consumately, no-one could ever emulate 'Pour Qu Tu M'aimes Encore' Truely beautiful, truely Celine. Truely, tres' bienne.
She's done an English version of this fantastic song 'if that's what it takes' but personally I prefer the original French version because the feeling is conveyed beautifully. :) That's the beauty of music- sometimes we don't need to understand the words... just the feeling. :) :) :D
