- I'm continuing to experiment with plants I've never grown before in the patio garden urn. I had a lot of fun designing this one and I can't wait to hear what you think.

Some weird plants in this one: What do you think?
'Weird' is always a great thing.
I think it’s FUN!
Kinda nice to have nothing to distract you from just playing a little with combos, I’ll bet.
I love pushing the edge trying uncommon plants in summer containers, especially in our zones 5b/6a. This combination is very interesting. Looking forward to watching it fill in!
The weirder the better...love it !!!
Cracked me up! That incredible urn is not only a kaleidoscope of colour but texture as well. So many plants I've never even heard of before, which are always so interesting to see in your gardens Erin. It's going to be just fabulous. Enjoy!
Well, I nominate you the container queen! I love all them so far. Gardeners paint with plants.
I think that large vessel with a very understated design is perfect to hold the collection you've put together. I can't wait to see how the plants mature and mingle.
I just SMILE when I watch your videos! I totally get your vibe.
Yes! All plants go together!!😊😂
I love this container! I love all the containers you do! It inspires me to try different plants in my containers. I’m 75 and I like finding and trying new and different plants to “play” with. Thanks for a great video! 😎🇨🇦
I love how you throw all the plant pots! If I would do that, they’d be blowing all over the yard!😂
Also, I love that you plant with Unusual plants and flowers.
loving all the shades of purple, and making note for my next container! "...flowers just go together" is so true.
Super fun choices- love it when you go off the beaten path in your containers!👍
Just the sight of that breeze and you wearing a fleece is enough to send some relief to those of us on the East Coast.
As for the urn - gorgeous! What did you do with Lemony Lace leftover from last year? I bought last year and planted in the ground. It is ginormous and, if chartreuse foliage were not enough, it just produced red berries. RED!!!!
Love love the melainthus and lorapetalum! Must have. KUDOS on this combo!!
I was at the Trinity Garden club in West Michigan and they mentioned your garden and passed the magazine around. What a fabulous representation of your garden. 🐝🌼
Oh that’s fun! Thanks for telling me that.
Love it! Cant wait to see them grow together! This was a lot of fun! Thanks!
Loved the addition of the wire vine! Yep! Made all the difference!😂
Look forward to the urn planting every year (and the holiday decor in it as well). It’s becoming a ritual!
Wow, tucking the bell vine would look so good! Your container will feel like a princess 😅
The silver Falls I had in a pot came back this year and completely filled the pot all over again because I kept the container in the garage all winter. That was a nice surprise!
You and Garden Answer Laura have the same planting technique as I, scoop, plunk! Love it! There is definitely a rhythm to it!
Thanks for the inspiration!! Now go to the garden center to see what's on sale/available and come up with a container idea!! Fun!
Flowers definitely just go together! Another pretty combo and I am totally envious of the pot!
Gorgeous!!!!! The wirevine for the win - Complete!!!🏆
I love that you try something different every year! They're beautiful plants, and I can't wait to see them grow too. Love the textures!!
My grandson (13) and I planted the container my husband (75) made last year with all kinds of plants. Bells of Ireland that I grew from seed and pink dot petunias. So lucky my grandkids like to garden. 13, 7, 5 and 4. Thank you for all your videos.
Erin and adventures with wire vine. “ Yep. It’s good.” 🤣
Very inspiring and good choice of plants 🪴
The wire vines really kidn of did make all the difference!
It’s beautiful. I really love this planter.
I think this might be my favorite of your urn plantings. It's beautiful Erin!
You’re hilarious 😂 and this planter will be awesome. And even if it doesn’t turn out like you want, it’s a garden adventure. Who cares 😂😜
I love the variety!
Look at you in a sweatshirt. I’m jealous. It’s in the 90’s here in TN. And your planter is BEAUTIFUL.
I was thinking the same thing. I'm down in the Florida panhandle and it's hotter than hell here. I'm going to look for a battery operated lawnmower with a light so I can mow the yard after dark.
@@MelodyHopkins I know about heat and humidity from Florida. I lived in South Florida for 42 years. Had to run air conditioner cooking Christmas dinner in shorts. It’s just as hot and humid here in Tennessee but only lasts for three months thankfully.
Sweatshirt envy! In Arkansas I just put up an umbrella to give my deck plants a break from afternoon sun!🌞😅
Looks fantastic, love all your containers, so original.
I love the out of the ordinary planters you are doing now
I love this design and especially loved your pot flips so funny. I’m jealous that you are wearing a fleece jacket right now…we’re suffering a brutal 90+ heatwave this week.
I think I can see your vision. I love it!!
Love this container! So many plants I’d never heard of. I have to have some loropetalum in containers now!💜
We enjoyed your video very much. Thanks for sharing. Regards, Roy & Peter Port Elizabeth, South Africa
Come on Erin, you can squeeze in one more! Lol
That is a big part of my container planning this year...fingers crossed for you!
Great vision! Can’t wait to see the progression ❤️
Erin,
Not sure who can cram more plants into a container (w/ the container winding up looking amazing every time, too! ❤)--you or Laura over @ Garden Answer. Do you know Laura? If so, maybe ya'all need to have a container cramming competition in the near future. 😉😁
I think in a head to head Laura would come out on top, plant faster and have her pots all neatly stacked (while mine are tossed all over the yard). 🤣
Gotta love your sweatshirt. 😂It’s 92💦 here. Phew
You’re so good. I grew that silene this year and it did so well. Unfortunately I don’t feel like I utilized as good as I could have. But I will definitely do that one again next year! Your channel is so inspiring! Thank you!!
Yes, I can shove in ONE MORE PLANT!!!🙌🏼🙌🏼
Wire vine! So interesting 😮
Love the flip on the empty containers👍🏻🇨🇦
I have Purple Bell vine envy. Still no luck this year! I put 3 Silene Carmine in a cocoa lined hanging basket. It is a winner, grows up and down! Looking forward to seeing your Peanut Butter plant, don't know much about it, but do love the texture. It is so much fun to experiment. As usual this urn will be a winner!
Gorgeous container ❤
I have tried and failed at least a couple of times to grow the bell vine from seed! Love it though 💜
it definitely needed the wire vine!
Erin,
PW's Jazz Hands Variegated in purple & white is my fav
Loropetalum, but Purple Pixie is a close second! ❤ Luckily, I'm in VA Zone 7 & so can over winter them here...in a sheltered area. 😊
Hi Erin, what is the pink flower at 7:31? My boys (grands) would love a plant that smells like peanut 🥜 butter! 😄
Love your style !! ♥️
There's ALWAYS room for one more!😊 Your container plantings are fantastic!
Great slump shots of tossing the empty pot!
Love it!
Fun combination. Love the little bush. The wire vine was the perfect touch.
Love it!!!
Spotted lanternfly breeds on your peanut butter plant.
I like.😊
Looks good
I love your go with it attitude in this container! It’s going to be beautiful and the wire vine is a great addition 😉
I love your planters, you come up with plants I’ve never heard of!! It looks great!!!
Gorgeous! The peanut butter plant is going to be the star.
Ooohh, I love the look of the Purple Bell vine just loosely draped along the top of the container…I vote for that look if it ends of trailing too much!!
love it
I discovered wire vine about 4 years ago . I have enjoyed growing it so much . Definetly made all the difference ! Haha Enjoy your videos so much .
You are right about putting in some real stunner plants. Great job, love to see it later on in the season.
Can’t wait to see it all fill. Fabulous!
BAM! You nailed that urn!
I like it
That is going to be absolutely stunning! As if it isn’t stunning enough now! Love your ideas!!
I love it 🌻 could you post your recipe for deer spray 🙃💚
I love this design its going to be really beautiful
The weirder the better! Bring it on! 😂
Amazing how many plants went into it. Will see how it fills out 👍🏽
I really like the combo of the planter
I always look forward to your planter videos!
Can't wait to see how this goes! Very pretty.
I really like that color combo. Very nice!
My weird trait is I hate mixed containers lol! Give me 1 good thriller MAYBE combined with 1 type of spiller, or just a pot full of 1 type of filler. Multiple plants sure, but all the same kind please! I’m in the minority I know. I love my garden a big jumbled mess of different plants though, just not my containers 🤷♀️ Of course I still am here for this video 😉
There is something absolutely lovely about simpler designs in containers. It’s a great way to show off the beauty of just a couple plants and make a big statement.
Beautiful Erin! I love it! The wire vine just finished the container off!
love your bold creative spirit 😊❤
Omg it’s going to be fabulous
Wow!
You always make me smile. Thank you
Look great I can’t wait to see how it grows!
You go girl! Beautiful!
Love this container, love thinking outside of the box! What did you do differently with your bell flower this year that you had such great luck ? I have failed miserably trying to grow from seed.💐🇨🇦
gorgeous!
love it, beautiful!!!
I wish Digging Dog was still shipping to Florida. They have some great plants. :(
thanks Erin!🪴
Fun!!!
I find that if I put too many plants in my planters, they look like a big mess midsummer, and I end up removing some.
❤
Very nice Erin!
I love Wire Vine, it has been a mainstay in my garden for the last 6-7 yrs. This year I could not locate it😢 when I was collecting my plants for planting up.🤔
It looks awesome! So intrigued by the eucalyptus… did you start from seed? Or buy somewhere online?
You always make me laugh: can she jam one more plant...
Beautiful! How much did all those plant co$t?
Honestly I’m smart enough to not add it up but if I had to guess I’d guess $85 or so.
Your plants are beautiful. My question is: Where do you get your planters?
You’re wearing a jacket! Is it still that chilly there?
Do you hand water this container??
Yes I do. Fortunately it’s big enough that it’s not a daily task.
