Talk about a game of 2 halves, that epic otherworldly dron footage of that immense slate mine, followed by the cruise ship shenanigans around the fire 🤣 Not sure that's what you expected up there. Stay safe lads!
Thanks for watching Craig and sorry for the late reply. We didn’t expect that many people to be up there tbh as we never realised it was so popular but we soon found out with a bang 🤣 was an unforgettable experience though 😆 Thanks Craig.
Thanks John for watching the vid 👍 really appreciate it, We got a lot of your vids to catch up on and looking forward to those 👍🏴 take care Simon & Mark
Great video and lovely drone footage, stunning views. It must have been a bit strange wild camping next to bothy with a full on party going on! I hope they also left no trace. Thanks. x
Thanks for watching. We turned up first then the people in the mess hut/bothy turned up later so moving for us wasn’t an option as it was too dark so we had to put up with it, I hope they took all their rubbish with them which I think they would have as they looked like decent folk 👍 thanks for watching the vid
Stunning scenery. What an awesome place to camp. I think I would have been tempted to join the party. Nothing wrong with sleeping in. Loved the drone footage. I've never heard of any of these places. Now I'm doing research. Hopefully, some day I'll make it across the pond to check it out. Thanks for a great video.
Thanks Joe, for watching and commenting on the vid. Yes it was a shock TBH we always try and stay clear of crowds but it wasn’t possible on this occasion but all the lads were a top bunch 👍 can’t wait for the next camp out, take care mate
Cheers mate glad you liked it, as for the numbers it was a lot of people but there was only three in our group the rest was out of our control, cheers Mark 👌👍
Evening guys, we love this route and have walked it many times, however not with cumbersome camping packs! the slate sand the heather was perfect contrast, stunner! so big isn't it, goliath! the museum at the bottom is worth a visit too and free, there is a man that puts on a display of slate splitting, promise more interesting than it sounds! incase you ever get rained off. Loved the Lady of Snowden too, great spot! Super interesting place, loved all the old bits n bobs ❤👍 stunning pitch, cant get over how busy it was! jeeze 😚 loved the drone footage and the light just added to the awe! the camp sing song was brilliant too, genuinely good 🥰 dont expect to find a disco on a camp do you, first time for everything right 😑 thanks for taking us along. great watch, goat fight n all, catch you soon, Ceri and Kat 👍❤☕
Thanks both 👍 Mark has been in that museum and he said it was good. Snowdonia never disappoints that’s for sure. We want to camp there all the time if we can we just love it up there so much. Thanks for watching Simon & Mark
Great vid but a real shame that a big outdoor fire was made by the other campers. Theres a stove in the caban ffs.. looks like they were burning that loose roof beam from in the caban too.
Thanks for watching, I don’t know where the wood was from tbh but I think it was half burnt from somebody who had been there previously. We personally don’t have fires
Also the mess hut had about 12 polish people in there who were having a fire and a party and they even secured the door from the inside and we couldn’t have gone in even if we wanted to, they were a right funny bunch they were partying hard until around 3 am and a right pain in the arse kept us awake, wasn’t expecting that .
Awesome vlog mate beautiful place I’ve been to snowdonia 3 times now just got back from my first solo wild camp and hike the following morning up watkin path snowndon and I’m absolutely in love with the place. I’m on such a high right now I will be back very soon so much to explore. I’m from the midlands. Great to see so many wild campers get together and make a great night of it 👍🏼👍🏼
Cheers mate Snowdonia is fantastic haven’t been up the Watkin Path yet but it is in the pipeline I have heard it’s the most picturesque route up to snowdon , thanks again for watching 😁👌👍
Leave no trace when you visit nature! Quite a place you have visited on this hike and I found the area stunning and with a sense of history that few places can match. It is hard to imagine that there was a time when miners were working there and not happy campers having a party:) Especially the drone flight showed just how amazing the area is; but if you want peace and solitude it seems like a wrong place. And you did look tired in the morning - so would I with a Neil DIamond sing along the evening before! Cheers to all from Norway
Cheers buddy this camp was one of those where it wasn’t planned like it turned out, but sometimes it turns out pretty good - we met a lot of great people on this night and we weren’t expecting that many people it was crazy but one camp we will never forget that’s for sure, and it is an amazing place with a whole lot more to see thanks for watching ATB Mark & Simon ❤️👌👍😁
Need to rewatch, my broadband made that all bluey, looked really good though Bit mindful it could end up being a magnet for mini parties like Cader Idris.
@@Twin_Peaks_Outdoors was hoping to go there last Thursday but was unwell, having seen your vid, I'm a bit reluctant to camp there on a summer weekend as it looked too busy. Defo want to visit though, but not a weekend camp. Will defo rewatch 👍
@@stevewebb2102 I know what you mean about mini parties, we definitely don’t want to promote it but it ever since lockdown and nobody can really travel wild camping is more popular than ever, hope it dies down a little 👍
@@Twin_Peaks_Outdoors well, a few blokes singing Sweet Caroline looked fun, it was the disco in the mess hall that put me off. I've seen a video of younger campers playing loud music and drinking heavily by Llyn Cau, which put me off camping there (at least on a weekend). We'll see hopefully this will die down a bit as society reopens.
@@stevewebb2102 yeah the disco in the mess hall wasn’t good Steve but as I put on the video it had nothing to do with us, maybe I shouldn’t have included that clip
I was camping the other side on Sat 28th of Aug. Not sure if it was the same evening as you guys but it was very loud that night with music and shouting but did not spot all the tents that was there but did see the hut all lit up again and another group just by where u jump over the gate. Can't believe how many where camping but enjoyed it.... Although a lot of midges about
Hi mate we were there the week before on Saturday the 21st, so it was the same over there when you were there ? It is a great place but I don’t think we will camp over on that particular spot again as it was way to crowded, thanks for watching 👍 just subbed your channel BTW
@@Twin_Peaks_Outdoors Ah thought the weather looked a bit different. But yeah definitely a lot of shouting and singing coming from where you guys where camping the week before and quite a few fires about.
