Fred was an interesting character, smart, talented, and witty. I miss these older guy's, they knew a heck of a lot. My grand pappy was like Fred, always fixing and building stuff, became an engineer after serving over 4 yrs. in wwll. Thanks for this video. GOD bless.
My second step dad was like Fred. But from Appalachia. He will forever be in my heart. Looked just like older Fred as well. He worked for Volvo truck. When he retired he moved to the Philippines teaching English I’ll never forget as a kid he welded in a catalytic converters on his back on gravel with nothing but his torch, a coat-hanger, and a tin can of flux from the ‘50s. My hero. He taught me much and paid me well. Like Fred some family Members never trusted him or thought he was selfish. He was just too nice and honest some people can’t grasp that concept that gents like this exist. My mom would yell and fight constantly and once he just pulled over. Handed her $200 for gas. And walked down the highway with his thumb out. Made it to the next town he got a newspaper and bought a car to drive himself back. He even resold that car for a good profit. Legend
Since watching Monty Pythons The Meaning Of Life I cant take church hyms seriously, I just remember the sermon and the school song every time I hear hyms!
Mr Dag Jab sir, awesome channel! I was wondering, would you consider burning this series to dvd for a few quid? Or perhaps the blokes at BBC have a copyright strangle on this series. I live in a swamp with no internet except for a weak cell signal, lol. Takes a fair while to load videos on phone
Thanks that's nice of you to say. Yeah I could burn the videos onto a DVD. Where do you live?. I don't mind the cost aside from the postage cost. I wish I had better quality versions of the episodes, but sadly many of my tapes have suffered badly over the years, but I do try and capture them in the highest quality with minimal loss (Virtualdub I often used as it captures raw and you can then encode the files to a lower size with barely no loss).
