Hi, @christopherraymond3241! The sample file is in our free course, FileMaker Features & Free Resources, at Productive Computing University. The link is in the UA-cam description and below. Thank you for pointing out the error with the website link. We fixed those links as well. And thanks for watching! www.productivecomputinguniversity.com/courses/FileMaker-Features-Free-Resources
Thank you for this tutorial.. it works perfectly in layout for screen.. But, when it goes to print, the QR code is unreadable (because it resize to larger image than what I've stated in parameter). Did you experience this?
Hello @kardjo Thanks for your comment. Here are a few tips around this topic: 1) You'll want to adjust the "size" of the QR code. You may want to start with a minimum of "500" and work your way up from there. You can find that field in the demo. 2) When you create your print layout and present your container field that holds the QR code, you'll want to pay close attention to how you have formatted the container field. You have 4 options: a. Crop to frame b. Reduce image to fit c. Enlarge image to fit d. Reduce or enlarge image to fit You'll want to experiment with these (get to know them if you don't already know them) to find the perfect solution to your situation. The size of the container you make along with the option you select above will define how and what will show up. You can find these "format" settings in the inspector panel under the "Data formatting" area at the bottom of the inspector window (choose the right-most icon at the top first). There could be some trial and error with all this. You want to make the size of the QR code something large enough to scan properly while at the same time paying attention to how your printed layout looks (depending on how you plan to use the QR code). You can get away with them being quite small (or quite large). The larger you make it, the further away the barcode reader needs to be (typically) in order to "see" the entire code and produce a positive read. You just have to find the sweet spot. Good luck and report back if you can. 👍🏼
Where do I get the sample file? I found an article on your website but the links result in a 404 error.

If you right click on the QR Code image you will get an option to export field contents. When naming the file add ".jpg".
@@dinmakers Thanks for the tip!
