Whoa. This is a much better solution for playing on my iPad than using AltStore that I have to constantly have to refresh so it doesn't delete itself. And even that didn't play N64. I'm excited to play GoldenEye on my iPad now finally! This awesome. Thanks for making this WebRcade video Russ!

Very cool! I *think* I still prefer the full offline gameplay of my miyoo mini, but that idea of mostly setting everything up once, and being able to play on anything with internet access is really cool.

@@ramonandrajo6348 I’m not really sure about that. I can set this whole thing up without touching a single Google product if I wanted (like by using Safari or Edge). Firefox doesn’t work well with it unfortunately.
If you want to get rid of the annoying iOS Swipe-up bar, you need to enable Guided Access in Settings/Accessibility and then after launching WebRcade press power button 3 times quickly. It will disable the bar (but keep you locked in WebRcade). When you finish or want to switch to another app, just press power button 3 times again.
I’m trying to import the shorten file to webrcade and it saids an error happen from trying to load the selected feed and it’s telling me to check my console log. How do I fix that?
Ooh, what happens if you lose internet access while playing? Does it pause so you don't lose save data, or keep a cached copy for next time it is connected, or maybe something else 🤔?
If you lose internet access the game will continue, and it will locally save your game when you close out of it. I'm not sure how the interaction will happen when you try and start up the game again while online though, but my hope would be the program would pick the more recent of your save games. Maybe something to test while in airplane mode to see what happens!

The only thing this amazing developer is missing is inclusion of Google Drive and Icloud options along with Dropbox. Other than that its almost perfect. 🎉
My fiancee loves the Zero 2, but a week or so ago I also bought her an 8bitdo Lite (the one which only has d-pads and buttons) and she considers it quite comfortable, as opposed to the PRO+ and others. They now also have a lite 2 with analog sticks, but my suggestion is for you to get your wife a Lite and see if it's more comfortable and portable for her. It's about the size of an audio cassette, or an early tiny iphone. Actually a bit smaller than an early tiny iphone. Still fits in a pocket/purse, but has more to grip than the Zero 2 and also has a full range of buttons - R1 R2 R3 etc. I only do not remember if it works with iOS.

I used your old tutorial and added NES and Megadrive etc but I had problems with it renaming roms to other countries. So the EU version is something totally different to the US. Also found it hard to navigate through loads of games as it needs different ways to show the lists of games maybe? I really like this tho and you did an amazing job as always explaining how to set it up!!

Hi, yes that's a Nuphy Air75 in the background there, I picked it up directly from their website. Shipping took a while from China, but I really like it! I'm not sure if WebRcade has plans on computer emulation but I think it would be possible.

I wish they would add touch screen controls like EmulatorJS. Self hosting EmulatorJS using their docker image is a bit more complicated to setup, but for me if I’m going to play on mobile, I generally don’t have a controller available.

8bitdo SN30 is my favorite for emulation. The classic SNES shape and feel, but with added analog sticks and 2 shoulder buttons on each side, good for stuff up to PS2, as long as you don't need analog triggers. This should also work pretty well on Steam Deck... hmmm... i'll bookmark this for later.
I have been looking for a small portable Bluetooth controller for a while, ideally I wanted on that is thin so I can somehow attach it to my phone or in a credit card slot etc. If/when you find one please do a video review 😀
You can easily sideload Chrome onto Nvidia Shield TV, but really, why? If you can sideload or load emulators onto Android/Shield, just use emulators. This app is really more of a solution for playing emulators on closed systems, like iOS (and Playstation?).

Going have to give this a try on Xbox. I find my self using my miyoo mini the most and my Odin when in bed. It would be awesome if u could sync game saves with something like the miyoo mini. Of course you would have to pull the card and connect through a pc. Is there a way you could do this manually?

Ive linked my dropbox on my iphone web app. but no cloud savegame is synced. its not even working on the same device. if im closing a rom, and reopen it right away on the same device it starts right from the begining. what can i do?
It's more about a comparison of the platform itself vs native emulators. For example, if you have a use case where you want to access the same games/saves from multiple locations (a browser on your PC, plus your phone, and maybe a tablet), this will be a nice simple solution. If you just plan on playing on one Android device then it might be better to run something like RetroArch where you can have save states, retro achievements, etc.

Set up the N64 feed and it works great! Somehow the Neo Geo will not work for me. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Bios is in without the extra stuff after the zip and using dropbox to bring zip files over for the feed and getting errors. Is anyone else having this issue?
Where are you getting your ROMs from? I suggest FinalBurn Neo ROM set on the Internet Archive and there go to the Full Non-Merged list. And I use BIOS from Batocera BIOS pack.

Make sure you turn on “experimental apps” in the feed before exporting it, and then also in the app when loading the feed.

Yes, it works on the RP2+ and RP3 but not super well, many games will have audio crackling and some slowdown.
