Sometimes, when you get hit hard like that, of course, you temporarily lose consciousness/ memory. That's exactly what happened. He got up and was clueless of his knock down. That with his attitude got him the loss
The ref didnt stop it then. He gave him an 8 count, which mase him upset. The fight was stopped after he refuse to raise his glove to fight after 10 count has passed.
Wrong. The ref would never have stopped it if he would have behaved in any sensible way. He would just have counted and said "box" and the fight would have continued. But the fighter was so confused and disoriented that he didn't even want to let the ref count...and usually refs asks fighters to take a step or rub their gloves or something to test if they are ready to fight and mentally present.... The ref could not do any of this because the fighter behaved so erratically. There was no other outcome than to stop the fight
Alot of people are missing the point here. The loser refused to take a standing 8 count. If you aren't going to follow the refs instructions, expect to be disqualified.
Ref was counting for knockdown. Then he threw a tantrum like a baby. He clearly didn't feel it was worthy of a count. He was buzzed but clearly not hurt but ref still needs to do his job. Dumbest reaction to a count ever. Could have carried on and win the fight.
Totally agree. All these other casuals on here think the ref called a KO and the fighter was justified, they don't know enough to see the fighter lose his mind when he sees the ref counting for a knock down. That tells me he was rocked good, I mean that's as clear as a knock down gets.
Really! He should have taken the standing 8 count, looks like that's all the ref was doing (=his job). I think he was winning on points when he caught that shot, definitely still in the fight...
2:19 The reason for the count is quite clear. He got dazed. The hands above his head on thr ground was showing this. The ref had to count, he must be sure this guy did not have a concussion for the safety of the fighter. The fighter on the other hand was completely too cocky with the ref. Even his own corner man was pissed off at his own fighter. Not at the ref. You could clearly see it. The ref had the right to stop the fight as he probably warned the hot head to cool down as seen and yet he kept on. Almost the same thing happened with Frank Mir vs Brock lesnar 2 when the ref stopped the fight. Mir went all why?? Why?? And was pissed off too. That ref stopped it because he was getting pummled but the adrenalin made Mir act up.
For all the pro fighter's in here like always, The refs do a great job , he Stop the fight because that dude didn't raise his gloves after the 8 count that's a clean win.. so I dont think the refs do something bad
The fight would've continued if dumb azz fighter only listened the refs instructions and accepted his standing 8 count. But nope, he was still hung up on complaining about an apparent leg sweep he got when he was guilty doing it as well.
The ref isn't the bad guy in this at all! Homeboy gets his shit cranked, gets up, walks away from the refs count, spits out the mouth piece, talks shit to the ref and it appears to me the ref gestured with a small cross of his hands as if he was sayin "I'm gonna call it off if u don't fight!" The fighter kept talkin, the ref called it...the end.
@Jeremy Mitchell you absolutely correct. If the fighter does not accept a valid 8 count when clearly knocked down not raising your hand means you do not want to continue. He probably forgot that because he was so pissed.
Arguing about the legitimate knockdown and eight count count cost him the fight , that’s why his coach was so pissed ,he did it to himself, only himself to blame
I'd be angry also , he was kicked after the bell , hit on the break and all sorts. The ' winner' was a low life cheat that was getting a good hiding. The little fella was winning comfortably but got caught . No need to stop it at all. Then he wouldn't except his hand after..... Disgrace.
Black shorts didn't agree with the knockdown, after the ten count the ref probably said , "you need to accept the knockdown and keep Fighting or I will call off the fight and you forfeit and lose", he didn't listen to the ref so the ref called the fight as a forfeit/knockout for black shorts.
He was out, the body was OK but his mind was out. I saw fighters getting up after a knock down and celebreting their win like it was normal. In this case the fighter thought the réf stopped the fight because his mind wasn't clear, it's a knock out
The ref is right to give 10 counts plus hè is no amateur, he has a lot of great fights behind him. The fighter is a hot head and did this on his own fault.
It was a legitimate knock down so the ref was giving him a standing 8 count. The fighter challenged the ref and was disqualified. Even his corner tried to reel him in. Some people have a problem with authority.
You missed the whole point of the video.... the referee didnt count it as a knockout.. It was clearly a knockdown even the referee started counting. But the white guy was acting as if it was a slip.
That was a very clean straight forward Knockdown.. what did he get angry for? And look at all these casual shitbags commenting, saying the Ref did a shit job?? 🤣🤣🤣 #creased

@@OsvaldoBayerista it’s an emotional sport. The ref could’ve just said fight on. Let the fighter express his displeasure. It’s part of the game. If he wants to continue to cry after the ref gives the go signal, then so be it.

All he had to do was take the count to 8 and say im okay to continue, but nah he had to be a drama queen. The sad part is, I had him winning even if he lost that round from the knockdown, I think he could've won the rest of the rounds.
The fighter is required to take the 8 count. He walked away and decided it was more important to argue with the ref. In that moment, he didn't have the heart to continue the fight.
He didn't comply by the standing 8 count. The ref was trying to give a standing 8 and the fighter wouldn't stand still and make eye contact with the ref. The ref cannot verify the fighter is lucid .. instead he told the ref off and the ref called it off.
They was no bad call at all , the ref called the fight cause of his attitude , as a MMA fighter I’ve witness people completely dominating a fight an lost because of bad sportsmanship an attitude towards the ref an opponent . He just needed to accept the fact he got knocked down with a blow an get up an guard up an reset .
The Guy got clearly dropped. Those of you who actually fought know the left hook shut his lights out for a second (flash knock out resulting in an actual knock down). He should have shut the hell up and accepted the count, just raise his hands before the count of 8.
Same thing happened to me. I got thunderstruck by left hook I didn't see coming. My trainer said I got up laughing at the ref saying "I'm good, I'm ready." I won that fight because my trainer prepared me how to act during an 8 count.
Johnny Florence yep, there are ways to handle it (for instance don’t get up too fast, put one knee on the canvas first etc...), and actual exercises in case you get super dizzy (rotating on spot, rotating around your finger on the ground and then shadow boxing).... all in all combat sports are life
He walked away wouldn’t follow the protocol , look at the ref put His hands up , the ref is assessing ability to follow instructions . By him being an idiot and being dismissive he ended the fight for himself . Any fighter knows the protocol.
Xplode yea he does , Ref normally asks “ are you ok , can you continue , if you answer yes . He would say something along the lines of put up your gloves and then they push down on the gloves to see if you can hold it up. It’s just to check any concussion or confusion. Very standard stuff
The ref stopped the fight because the guy didn’t convince him he was in control during the standing count and refused to acknowledge the count . The ref had no choice
Jesus Christ why are you guys Blaming the ref??? The guy got knocked down then when the ref was doing a typical count the guy decided to act like a Moron and challenge the refs decision. Threw a fit and got Disqualified! He did not lose by knockout he was Disqualified!
People don't understand your brain shuts off when you get dropped and there are seconds you don't register. He didn't know he got dropped, he thought he fell from a low kick.
Even if so there's no reason to stop a fight like that especially if the fighter is having a full blown convo with you lol I would understand if he was out of it and rocked badly..
@@WilsonxDoomable You dont understand. He stopped the fight because the fighter did not follow his commands , even after multiple requests. If a fighter goes down, he needs to put his hands up to show that he can continue the fight whether he agrees with the count or not. He didn't want it to be counted as a knockdown, which would have costed him points, and was probably making excuses like "I slipped and lost my footing".
That was a definite 8 count he lost the round 10_8. No problem with the refs decision. I think he was temporary unconscious and never realised how hard he was hit.

Looks like he thought the ref called the fight. Ref couldn't give the 8 count because the fighter was pissed because he thought the fight was called. Then he called the fight.
Finally an answer that made sense.. lookin for this answer.. seems like your comments too low.. go high up with this 1 thumb
Im glad his coach is very pissed off because of his fighter's behaviour
Challenges ref...... did that part get deleted
Sometimes, when you get hit hard like that, of course, you temporarily lose consciousness/ memory. That's exactly what happened. He got up and was clueless of his knock down. That with his attitude got him the loss
Exactly
I am starting to think he didn't remember the knockdown.
I'll never get those 5 minutes back.
Terrible stoppage. He was up on his feet and looked totally aware in 6-7 seconds. How could you not be angry about that?
Spot on.
get this pinned
Thanks dude :)
Yep, he refused to show the ref he was able to fight.
Finally someone who knows whats going on. Well said.
Really! He should have taken the standing 8 count, looks like that's all the ref was doing (=his job). I think he was winning on points when he caught that shot, definitely still in the fight...
@@tonyjones1560 agreed
absolutely the right call from the Ref, both fighters though seem very disrespectful.
Hemmers is having none of that, he jumps in the ring and tells his fighter to back the fuck up. Rightly so, the fighter acted like a
rookie.
Yeah that was hard to watch
The fight would've continued if dumb azz fighter only listened the refs instructions and accepted his standing 8 count. But nope, he was still hung up on complaining about an apparent leg sweep he got when he was guilty doing it as well.
0:26 nick hemmers is een soldaat🤣🤣🙌
The ref isn't the bad guy in this at all!
Homeboy gets his shit cranked, gets up, walks away from the refs count, spits out the mouth piece, talks shit to the ref and it appears to me the ref gestured with a small cross of his hands as if he was sayin "I'm gonna call it off if u don't fight!" The fighter kept talkin, the ref called it...the end.
In my opinion, that was a knock down, not a knock out! Premature call by that referee.
@Jeremy Mitchell you absolutely correct. If the fighter does not accept a valid 8 count when clearly knocked down not raising your hand means you do not want to continue. He probably forgot that because he was so pissed.
@Jeremy Mitchell EXACTLY BRO. THAT'S WHAT I KEEP TRYING TO EXPLAIN TO THESE DUDES THAT DON'T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND HOW FIGHT RULES WORK.. 👍
@Jeremy Mitchell finally a good comment I haven't read before, for the ones we don't know the rules
@mark bennett.. You should read the rulebook, before making a dumbass comment.
I dont see him challenging the ref per say.. He was hazy from the KO and didnt know he had taken a breif involuntary nap. 😂😂😂
Arguing about the legitimate knockdown and eight count count cost him the fight , that’s why his coach was so pissed ,he did it to himself, only himself to blame
bad sportsmanship at its finest🔥
I'd be angry also , he was kicked after the bell , hit on the break and all sorts. The ' winner' was a low life cheat that was getting a good hiding. The little fella was winning comfortably but got caught . No need to stop it at all.
Then he wouldn't except his hand after..... Disgrace.
too bad he got angry, nothing the referee could have done because he simply wouldn’t respond to the 8 count
although i still definitely hate that opponent he was a very bad sport who didn’t deserve a win
In this case the fighter thought the réf stopped the fight because his mind wasn't clear, it's a knock out
It looks like the guy was just getting a standing eight count but didn't want to wait for the eight count and turned into a 5 year old.
Should have taken the count down... Don't say ref is idiot, this guy did it to himself. Fight looked decent though.
Mario Yamasaki vol.2
@@anoheraklo6327 ?
Ref is an idiot
@@Dpend84 you are making yourself look bad.
@@anoheraklo6327 Mario Yamasaki is famous for not stopping the fights in time. Which is the opposite from here.
All I know is that corner man for the loser was the star of the show!
Wouldn't say he was knocked out ,knocked down but definitely not out ,should have been carried on, no wonder hes pissd. 😠✊👎
You missed the whole point of the video.... the referee didnt count it as a knockout.. It was clearly a knockdown even the referee started counting. But the white guy was acting as if it was a slip.
@@mitchellfit3437 with you my friend, wouldn't stand for his count .👍
He got dropped with a great left hook. Knocked him senseless. He got DQ .
his tantrums costed him the fight. it wasn't the ref's fault.
That was a very clean straight forward Knockdown.. what did he get angry for?
And look at all these casual shitbags commenting, saying the Ref did a shit job?? 🤣🤣🤣 #creased
I’m pretty sure he felt embarrassed that he got ko’d so suddenly, so much that he had to argue with the ref counting as soon as he got up.
Some refs need to leave their own ego, pride outside the ring. The guy was dropped was somewhat confused but his body was fine should have let him go on
@James sevensix who else called the fight of Sherlock ? End of day it's a fight adrenaline, emotions are flowing. The ref couldn't take the fact he was having a go at him. He couldn't handle the guy moved him out the way and wouldn't listen big deal. He was clearly alright to continue. ref ruined a good fight getting involved to much even when fight was going on.
The ref was doing ok his job, he was just giving a count. Why the fuck he do not accept that? Don't defend the stupid one.
@@OsvaldoBayerista it’s an emotional sport. The ref could’ve just said fight on. Let the fighter express his displeasure. It’s part of the game. If he wants to continue to cry after the ref gives the go signal, then so be it.
@@its4riel710 Not agree, fuck that crybabies, they need to learn to respect.
“Am I alright, AM I ALRIGHT Yeah I Am Alright I slipped, huh bro get my back.” 🤣😂
For at least two seconds he had no idea what year it is. And he was having a problem with a standing eight count. Explains why his corner guy was about to smack him.
0:26 Trainer yoked him up like a dog 😂😂😂😂
He was confused. Was a good call.
Johnny Florence yep, there are ways to handle it (for instance don’t get up too fast, put one knee on the canvas first etc...), and actual exercises in case you get super dizzy (rotating on spot, rotating around your finger on the ground and then shadow boxing).... all in all combat sports are life
The guy he was fighting was a prick. I can imagine the frustration... His fall did look bad but fight should have continued.
He walked away wouldn’t follow the protocol , look at the ref put His hands up , the ref is assessing ability to follow instructions . By him being an idiot and being dismissive he ended the fight for himself . Any fighter knows the protocol.
he looks totally fine. do he need to put his hands up? i think its common sense to continue the fight.
@mr Kupido tf do you know the rules of boxing that you need to raise your glove when the ref counts so the ref will stop
@@WilsonxDoomable I was defending the fighter not the ref.
@@WilsonxDoomable You dont understand. He stopped the fight because the fighter did not follow his commands , even after multiple requests. If a fighter goes down, he needs to put his hands up to show that he can continue the fight whether he agrees with the count or not. The guy was being annoying by complaining and walking away and not listening to the referee. If a fighter does not follow instructions, the referee has the right to end the match.
He got a left hook and got 8 seconds, totally normal if u ask me, if he kept his standards and stayed calm he could of won the fight. That other dude gave him a sad kick after he fell on the ground tho..
It is perfectly clear that there was no knockout, not even a knockdown! The fighter got a cut and fell, got up easily and was ready to continue the fight! The referee was bought!!!
It was clearly a knockdown. Take your ten count and get back after it.
The knockout got him confused.
He was badly hurt, and confused....
Didn't realize it was an 8 count.
if you arent listening to the reff you dont belong in the ring. if you dont listen to oyur coach you dont belong in a gym.
Nothing worse than having the silver spoon knocked out of your mouth 😂
80% of the comments want special treatment for him though.
If he accept the count he would have a chance to continue to fight
lol the guy that won had no class whatsoever
Ref did nothing wrong. Black shorts guy clearly got knocked down with a left hook. Don't know why he complained about the count. He kept protesting and walking away, so the ref waived off the fight. Stupid fighter, good ref.
All he had to do was his standing eight count and continue on, he didn’t look that hurt. But instead, he lost it and then eventually lost a fight‼️
He felt ready to jump straight back into it. Clearly too eager.
I can understand why the dude was so pissed. He caught a left and the ref calls it? He was right back up.
The ref didn't call it,he wanted a standing 8 count, then carry on.
The guys who wouldn't accept it, so the ref had no choice but to stop the fight.
Here's what I saw: dude was so out of it he got mad at the ref for simply counting even though he could've just composed himself and continued. Then he just exploded around the ring and got in his opponents face for no reason. Notice the ref didn't actually wave it off until after that. Good K.O.
Still dont know what happened.
He didn't want it to be counted as a knockdown, which would have costed him points, and was probably making excuses like "I slipped and lost my footing".
so the referre keep counting, but the man not responding by the rules, so he is consider KO.
That was a definite 8 count he lost the round 10_8. No problem with the refs decision. I think he was temporary unconscious and never realised how hard he was hit.
When coach is actually your brother
The referee is right. It's not a street fight. Even the best boxer in the world has to go by the rules. This dude choosed to yell and gesticulate instead of waiting for the 8 count. He deserved what happened to him. Anyway you can see that his corner man is OK with the ref.
