Check the title again... It is written in a clickbait style. “ANGRY” fighter challenges referee... seems to be hinting to something more controversial than it turned out to be.

    For anyone that didn't quite get it. I think the flash knockdown memory didnt happen in his head. It was probably erased as soon as he got back to his feet automatically. Imo he didn't even remember going down. Dont be harsh on the guy he was concussed

      Rookie actions reflect on the trainer and the gym. A good coach will put an end that kind of stuff or send them packing. You could tell this coach was embarrassed bybthe fighter and was NOT happy.

    Dude got a flash ko, he didn't realize he got dropped and probably was arguing it was a trip or throw. You can see he went stiff then immediately woke up when he hit the mat.

    It looked like he was objecting that the ref called it a knockdown, or maybe thought it was an illegal shot,
    He was disoriented and probably thought he just slipped, but he couldn't control his temper and follow the referee's instructions for the count
    The referee made an acceptable decision
    That guy must learn to control his emotions, that lack of control is why he lost the fight

      I don't think you do martial arts. It's very important to follow what the ref says at all times, even if you disagree. Otherwise people get hurt quickly. He could've bitched all he wanted, as long as he was staying put, but he kept walking away and disobeying the ref. Btw this isn't about how the ref is "acting", he's simply following the rules.

    The guy in the black trunks was knocked down with a punch and was genuinely dazed. The problem was he refused to take a mandatory count of 8 from the ref. Had he took the count they would of carried on.

      @@ramsesds7325 he means he refused to follow the refs instructions/rules. The fighter attempted to approach his corner which your not allowed to do, and in general was more concerned about complaining about/contesting the call then following instructions so he was counted out.
      While I agree this was the fighters ego that caused him to loose, I do think a simple verbal warning to the opponent or just too both fighters to keep it clean might well have kept the fight on track.

    I don't know what everyone is confused about. Black trunks got knocked down and refused the 8 count, which DQed him. Fighters are supposed to know what to do during a knockdown. Apparently he didn't train for that ever. Hands up, be ready to fight at 8 seconds. If a fighter deviates from this, the ref will take this as conceding to defeat. The ref did his job, black trunks didn't.

    There was no count! Why are people confused about this? He took a whallop to the noggin and fell, when the ref started a standing 8 he lost his shit, the ref dq'd him because he wasn't fit to continue because his anger stopped him following instructions. "Obey my instructions at all times" is pretty clear. If you don't you cant continue.

    That wasn't a KO, it was a KD. The fighter didn't like that though, and his actions and disrespect after caused the ref to call it. He got dropped plain and simple. If he woulda kept cool he could have kept fighting and maybe even win. It was a decent looking fight.

    People are arguing the wrong thing and insulting the ref. There was an obvious knockdown that the fighter was trying to pretend didn't happen. The ref was counting and the fighter was trying to stop his count and then wouldn't give the ref his gloves to clean and continue fight. He kept refusing to acknowledge ref and count so there fight was stopped. All the fault of the fighter. His corner was grabbing him because they knew he was out of line.

    Sometimes, when you get hit hard like that, of course, you temporarily lose consciousness/ memory. That's exactly what happened. He got up and was clueless of his knock down. That with his attitude got him the loss

      The ref didnt stop it then. He gave him an 8 count, which mase him upset. The fight was stopped after he refuse to raise his glove to fight after 10 count has passed.

      Wrong. The ref would never have stopped it if he would have behaved in any sensible way. He would just have counted and said "box" and the fight would have continued. But the fighter was so confused and disoriented that he didn't even want to let the ref count...and usually refs asks fighters to take a step or rub their gloves or something to test if they are ready to fight and mentally present.... The ref could not do any of this because the fighter behaved so erratically. There was no other outcome than to stop the fight

    Ref was counting for knockdown. Then he threw a tantrum like a baby. He clearly didn't feel it was worthy of a count. He was buzzed but clearly not hurt but ref still needs to do his job. Dumbest reaction to a count ever. Could have carried on and win the fight.

      Totally agree. All these other casuals on here think the ref called a KO and the fighter was justified, they don't know enough to see the fighter lose his mind when he sees the ref counting for a knock down. That tells me he was rocked good, I mean that's as clear as a knock down gets.

    2:19 The reason for the count is quite clear. He got dazed. The hands above his head on thr ground was showing this. The ref had to count, he must be sure this guy did not have a concussion for the safety of the fighter. The fighter on the other hand was completely too cocky with the ref. Even his own corner man was pissed off at his own fighter. Not at the ref. You could clearly see it. The ref had the right to stop the fight as he probably warned the hot head to cool down as seen and yet he kept on. Almost the same thing happened with Frank Mir vs Brock lesnar 2 when the ref stopped the fight. Mir went all why?? Why?? And was pissed off too. That ref stopped it because he was getting pummled but the adrenalin made Mir act up.

    The ref isn't the bad guy in this at all!
    Homeboy gets his shit cranked, gets up, walks away from the refs count, spits out the mouth piece, talks shit to the ref and it appears to me the ref gestured with a small cross of his hands as if he was sayin "I'm gonna call it off if u don't fight!" The fighter kept talkin, the ref called it...the end.

    Black shorts didn't agree with the knockdown, after the ten count the ref probably said , "you need to accept the knockdown and keep Fighting or I will call off the fight and you forfeit and lose", he didn't listen to the ref so the ref called the fight as a forfeit/knockout for black shorts.

    He was out, the body was OK but his mind was out. I saw fighters getting up after a knock down and celebreting their win like it was normal. In this case the fighter thought the réf stopped the fight because his mind wasn't clear, it's a knock out

    The ref is right to give 10 counts plus hè is no amateur, he has a lot of great fights behind him. The fighter is a hot head and did this on his own fault.

    It was a legitimate knock down so the ref was giving him a standing 8 count. The fighter challenged the ref and was disqualified. Even his corner tried to reel him in. Some people have a problem with authority.

      You missed the whole point of the video.... the referee didnt count it as a knockout.. It was clearly a knockdown even the referee started counting. But the white guy was acting as if it was a slip.

      @James sevensix who else called the fight of Sherlock ? End of day it's a fight adrenaline, emotions are flowing. The ref couldn't take the fact he was having a go at him. He couldn't handle the guy moved him out the way and wouldn't listen big deal. He was clearly alright to continue. ref ruined a good fight getting involved to much even when fight was going on.

    All he had to do was take the count to 8 and say im okay to continue, but nah he had to be a drama queen. The sad part is, I had him winning even if he lost that round from the knockdown, I think he could've won the rest of the rounds.

    The fighter is required to take the 8 count. He walked away and decided it was more important to argue with the ref. In that moment, he didn't have the heart to continue the fight.

    He didn't comply by the standing 8 count. The ref was trying to give a standing 8 and the fighter wouldn't stand still and make eye contact with the ref. The ref cannot verify the fighter is lucid .. instead he told the ref off and the ref called it off.

    They was no bad call at all , the ref called the fight cause of his attitude , as a MMA fighter I’ve witness people completely dominating a fight an lost because of bad sportsmanship an attitude towards the ref an opponent .
    He just needed to accept the fact he got knocked down with a blow an get up an guard up an reset .

    The Guy got clearly dropped. Those of you who actually fought know the left hook shut his lights out for a second (flash knock out resulting in an actual knock down). He should have shut the hell up and accepted the count, just raise his hands before the count of 8.

      Same thing happened to me. I got thunderstruck by left hook I didn't see coming. My trainer said I got up laughing at the ref saying "I'm good, I'm ready." I won that fight because my trainer prepared me how to act during an 8 count.

      Johnny Florence yep, there are ways to handle it (for instance don’t get up too fast, put one knee on the canvas first etc...), and actual exercises in case you get super dizzy (rotating on spot, rotating around your finger on the ground and then shadow boxing).... all in all combat sports are life

    He walked away wouldn’t follow the protocol , look at the ref put His hands up , the ref is assessing ability to follow instructions . By him being an idiot and being dismissive he ended the fight for himself . Any fighter knows the protocol.

      Xplode yea he does , Ref normally asks “ are you ok , can you continue , if you answer yes . He would say something along the lines of put up your gloves and then they push down on the gloves to see if you can hold it up. It’s just to check any concussion or confusion. Very standard stuff

    The ref stopped the fight because the guy didn’t convince him he was in control during the standing count and refused to acknowledge the count . The ref had no choice

If a fighter goes down, he needs to put his hands up to show that he can continue the fight whether he agrees with the count or not. The guy was being annoying by complaining and walking away and not listening to the referee. If a fighter does not follow instructions, the referee has the right to end the match.

    It is perfectly clear that there was no knockout, not even a knockdown! The fighter got a cut and fell, got up easily and was ready to continue the fight! The referee was bought!!!

    Ref did nothing wrong. Black shorts guy clearly got knocked down with a left hook. Don't know why he complained about the count. He kept protesting and walking away, so the ref waived off the fight. Stupid fighter, good ref.

    Here's what I saw: dude was so out of it he got mad at the ref for simply counting even though he could've just composed himself and continued. Then he just exploded around the ring and got in his opponents face for no reason. Notice the ref didn't actually wave it off until after that. Good K.O.

    The referee is right. It's not a street fight. Even the best boxer in the world has to go by the rules. This dude choosed to yell and gesticulate instead of waiting for the 8 count. He deserved what happened to him. Anyway you can see that his corner man is OK with the ref.
