As much as an elite Miko is, saying someone's point is just their opinion in a debate is a pretty bad comeback. The whole point of the debate is a clash of opinion to see which standpoint can win the audience/judge/opposition over, so saying its just their opinion wont really amount to nothing

I love how you made a lot of easter eggs from "Death Note" for Miko's appearance ("I will take this chip and eat it!", an apple for Ryuk, Ryuk himself, clothes of Light, literally writing in Death Note).
I lost it when Subaru came in wearing Subaru's (RE:Zero) tracksuit with a police cap.
Adding Ryuk in every time she talked about how annoying it would be to see ghosts absolutely killed me
knowing when will people bite the dust can be useful, imagine getting on a plane and everyone's life span bar just drops to 0. im immediately marching my ass out or try to save people (if they believe you that is). that is of course if the death mechanic isn't fixed. if it is indeed fixed then its pretty much just like having people's expiration dates plastered above their heads and that's it.
I don't think you can save anyone. It's like when you see a guy with a 30 sec lifespan, then save him from a car crash. That way the lifespan wouldn't be 30 sec in the first place, but obviously you won't save him if it wasn't 30 sec, so that's kinda a paradox thing. One possibility is like final destination where you save that guy from a car crash but he trips, falls then get smashed by a flying metal piece after exactly 30 seconds.
The only thing you can do in the plane case is to get out of the plane so you won't die with them I guess. It could still be useful to stay away from anyone with a short timer lol.
You can maybe somehow able to save your life as long as you won't see yours or avoid mass death incident by avoiding it, theory here is if the time is fixed but you haven't seen yours yet so if you see for some reason a lot of people have the same time you can guess something might happen the will result to mass death in that area and time

I think lifespan is more like a health bar, it's indicated the wellbeing of a body, not when you die based on an accident.
I mean if a person who can see someone lifespan that tell when they die, and they suddenly decides to kill someone who has a full bar/number, then that kinda make no sense

Or lifespan could be seen only biologically/metabolically so someone could have 80 years of life but die next day in car crash.

Honestly, Miko was spitting facts. I think it be WAY easier to know the lifespan than to see a ghost. Having numbers fill up my vision is way better than seeing a variable degree of ghost shapes and sizes. Plus, you know how many people have died? I don’t want to live in a house where literally every generation is there watching me dump or whatever. Numbers are impersonal.

Really depends on your definition of a ghost. For me, they're just dead people who can't do anything to the living. It matters nothing to me what they do except being eyesores. Also, being unafraid of ghosts is a plus.
The lifespan, on the other hand, will definitely give me anxiety and depression.

Like, say we are literally driving on the road and you accidentally swerve out of the way to avoid hitting a person because you can’t discern if they were dead or alive. In fact, even just being too comfortable with ghost in your regular life can probably create schizophrenia symptoms in someone, being unable to get a grip on reality.
We see numbers everyday as part of our understanding of a functioning society: time, money, miles to work, every thing is built on measurements. It can even be an opportunity to be emphatic to our humanity, maybe making that dying kid’s last wish come true, or getting to know a older person before it’s their time. Also, just straight up avoiding deadly situations by keeping an eye on someone who was probably going to be caught in the crossfire.
Lifespan implications are just more useful in practicality than being bothered by figures that can just obscure your abilities. Unless you are like a homicide detective or something.

Honestly seeing Ghosts would be cool on occasion you could meet the ghosts of famous people and such, but there'd be so many ghosts I feel like it'd get crowded.
