Politicians in Canada plan to punish "hate speech" with life in prison.
In England and Scotland, you already can get arrested for “hateful” posts.
J.K. Rowling fights back - breaking Scotland’s law on purpose, daring police to arrest her.
In Australia and Brazil, politicians tried to censor Twitter accounts.
    But Elon Musk refused.
It’s good that both defend free speech.
Here’s our FULL interview with Ezra Levant on censorship vs. free speech.

Paper trails are factual and unbiased. In theory congress can lie to protect classified secrets, but they lie every day about everything. They are like small children. I think this is probably your best and most important podcast ever. I'd really appreciate if you would continue to return to this topic in future videos. In many ways it's really the most important topic in the world. When we attempt to ban speech, that speech doesn't stop... it's simply driven into the shadows and that creates distrust between everyone. It makes the people banning the speech more paranoid because you now know that the people around you might not be telling you things you need to know. The transwoman may never hear anyone refer to her as "he" but she will forever wonder if everyone around her is thinking it and whispering behind her back. This is how racism works, people are always suspicious to the point of being convinced that the people of a different race aren't saying what they REALLY feel and so they accuse others of having racist motives whether they ever actually said anything racist or not. We end up in a strange world where it's considered acceptable for people of one color to use words or express thoughts that people of another skin color will be punished for using. These outcomes are inevitable when you make rules and laws forbidding speech because what they're actually trying to ban ideas. If you want to make an idea more popular and give individual words more power... ban them.

A crime is a crime, and we have laws on the books to deal with crimes. Tacking on extra penalties because of what the perpetrator was "thinking" turns our justice system into the "thought police", which is very dangerous. If you commit a crime, you should pay the penalty based on established law, and that's it. As distasteful at it may seem, I wish someone convicted of a "hate crime" would appeal the extra penalty up to the Supreme Court and have it overturned.

No defeated Member can lobby for several years, ....... In short, clean up your own more cowardly house before sayin' a word about anywhere else. Odds are you're a smart person who thinks for themselves, and has their heart in the right place. That's what the Left used to be.
