as a big scifi fan i've seen nearly all of them. But for a tv series nothing really tops Farscape in originality and production effort and quality. Many other producers and students of the process really MUST learn more from these masters.
Interesting to see the work and creativity that went into making Farscape . It's a pretty unique series and hasn't been diminished by time ,it had some great moments . I'll always watch an episode of I get the chance.
I'd forgotten the Creature Shop was so heavily involved in this show. The mind-blowing thing is that it must have taken at least six people to operate Pilot, one for each limb, one on the bladder that works its lungs and the dude actually responsible for moving Pilot's head and laying down the initial voice track.
Did you know Zhaan..Also played in MADMAX part 2..She was the hot chick that gets crossbowed on the tanker at the end..The reason they killed her off in farscape was cause the paint on her body was making her ill..
Who ever disliked this video clearly does not have a creative mind set, or a love of puppets. Or, perhaps, they were disappointed to find Pilot was indeed a puppet at not real.
Definitely some vibe of the crashed ship in Alien. Organic shapes, must be inspired a bit. Maybe that was a crashed Leviathan, new fan theory, the alien with a trunk was fuse to the ship too. Maybe a variant from another era.

I don't know..But it would have been cool to see all the workings.Like looking at the USS enterprise..Maybei should draw it? AND show what a full grown Male Laviathan looks like....

Yea..so sad..Seems people like paying for crap over quality..Well it was great while it lasted..Glad i kept it close and got the whole thing, even the Archives...Met Gigi Edgley: a.k.a: Chiana..Got pictures with her and she signed my 1st season disc...She was awesome 2 meet..She is nothing like she is on the show..Which makes her a good actor..I guess.. Tiny legs, same way a T rex had tiny arms, it's like the pilot species evolved to merge with leviathans, so the legs are almost entirely useless appendages.

I just rewatched the whole series and it still holds up. Brilliant and beautiful.
I agree re watching in 2024

Thanks for unloading all of these
Pilot and Crais same voice actor thats the weird part! But the NZ accent is a giveaway, they must have pitch shifted Pilot up half an octave.

02:46 hahaha Vala Aldrin from Stargate SG-1
No, she is from Farscape. It was first.

It is actually shown in a few episodes. Some kind of legs and basically just a fat ball of meat or however you wanna describe it ^^

Its a room below with a kind of biomech nerve stem. There is a flashback episode when they forcibly wired him in

I always assumed pilot was female, is that weird??
Nope..
The first Pilot was female, this one is not.
Its because of the relatively human female voice pitch, I think. At least, it was for me.
