are you kidding? you should be worried - ppl are leaving at record levels due to high unaffordable cost of living, housing crisis and skyrocketing rents, complex immigration system, and you cant get decent work unless you have a local qualification - low paying unskilled jobs are competitive yes, you should stress, success is not guaranteed

Ballina wow nice place, can't wait to see you check out some of the beaches. Good luck with everything Anna and I hope it all works out for you, I'm sure it will just stay positive that's the main thing and everything will fall into place 👍

What a great video, I applaud your courage. You put yourself in an uncomfortable position & with that comes self growth. I'm happy you found your place to stay, you will find your rhythm soon enough and Australia is such a beautiful place to ground yourself
Mate, Australia is a great place, I'm 100% sure you'll be right, I mean, I've been here since 1986, I was sacred as well about moving, so apprehensive about how I would go, would people like me etc , in a few months you'll be thinking what was all the fuss about, I mean if I can make it here you can, you are much smarter and better looking than me 😀
Welcome to Australia kiddo. I’m a seventy year old Aussie who envies you in your adventure! Ballina. Wow. Nice place! You’re within driving distance from heaven on earth - Byron Bay! Good luck here in Oz!, Go girl.
Welcome to being an adult, As a 60 year old everything you are feeling is universal and eternal. I also have three now adult children and many job/ Location changes.P.S, It doesn't get easier.
Good on you for going solo. Very few tourist or other scams in Australia. Unfortunately Aussies normally get scammed overseas because we’re use to trusting people. Enjoy your time in Oz!
For us Aussies, it's strange seeing people so nervous and full of self doubt. We are a nation with a carefree "she'll be right" attitude, where the stresses you have shown is actually quite foreign to us! Welcome to Oz and I'm sure that you will have the time of your life here 🤗 Our weather and environment will cleanse your soul and mind, along with a very healthy and happy outdoors type lifestyle that's not found anywhere else in the world. Before too long you will get the habit of just sitting back and taking in the beauty of everything that this country has to offer ❤
Over the years I moved to and lived in a number of different countries with my family as an Aussie expat working on projects. I cant say that we were ever scared but we were certainly apprehensive about going to some of those places. It is stressful moving somewhere that you are unfamiliar with even more so when you are the minority race, minority religion and you dont speak the native language. We lived in countries like Bahrain, Oman, South Africa, Mozambique to name a few and they all had some of those challenges. At least Australia is a modern first world country with basically all the same services you would have back in Europe so stop stressing, enjoy your time here - at worst you will only ever be a 30hr flight home. I was living in South Africa alone when covid hit and international travel to Australia was shutting down now that was stressful.....
Don't worry about small happenings. The worst things that can happen in Aust is, A giant hairy spider can slurp the sleep out of your eyes during the night. A snake can slither around your ankles and chew on ya leg. A shark could bight you in half. Or a Crock could bight your head off. Just keep ya eyes fully open, be doubley aware of your immediate surroundings and you SHOULD be ok. Enjoy your stay. OH, and don't let the sun burn you to a crisp. Remember to Schlip, Schlop Schlap. 😮😊😮😊😮😊
You were right to really listen to your brain, Australia is a reasonably safe country, but as all over the World there can be those who are dishonest and can take advantage of people, having said that there are others who have a kind and generous nature, you just needed to give your hear a go and make the decision that you felt comfortable with and I am glad that it worked out for you. I see you are not that far from Byron Bay where you could find work especially this time of year or with a bit of luck something more local.
We've got spiders, sharks, crocodiles, snakes etc, etc but the biggest threat in Australia are the fun police. Don't enjoy yourself too much or they'll get you. Good luck.
Welcome to Australia ! It's a wonderful country and the people are very friendly. I have family on the Gold Coast which is just over the New South Wales border in Queensland. I see you like books and bookshops. If you are ever in Melbourne, Victoria, it has the biggest and best bookshop in Australia, named Dymocks, in beautiful Collins Street in the CBD (Central Business District). The 'gut' feeling is known as the 'second brain'. I prefer to be lead by the intuition of my Soul (higher, abstract, mental Self). EnJOY your time here !
The Dymocks in Sydney city is pretty cool too. I think you'll find a Dymocks in most other cities as well. The original store opened in Syd back in 1879.
when you come to oz , you will always go home a stronger more self assured person. it throws tough things at you that you must overcome. good luck. fear nothing.
Hey, You have the right to be scared. Strange people Strange smells. Just Strange everything. You've opened such a big door in Australia. We are a great country with great people. Enjoy what makes this a great place.
Don't rely on your brain because your programming or blueprint will always rule you. Go with your heart and gut. Most Australians aren't there to rip you off. Your gut will tell you if that's happening. You will think back in a years time and wonder why you were so worried. Just spend your time enjoying yourself while you are here in Oz. I love your vibe of genuineness and reality. Take care.
Just remember that we are the country with the biggest proportion of immigrants from the most places on earth. Even the usa doesnt match us on that. If the rest of us can make it, then so can you.
