I've never met a Zen master who used that many words to answer that question, and I've been at it for a while now.

A GOOD Zen master can sense what level of consciousness a student is.
With some students he can use less words while with others has to be more vocal.

I’m a monk. Theravada buddhist specifically.
All masters have knowledge unique to them, which we learn over time.
I have knowledge from my prior masters, but on the contrary, I’ve my own knowledge now that I am older.
Some people are impressive at speech, and some lack the skills.
The length of the lesson matters little, only the effectiveness of its proceeding.
If you have questions. I will be here.

Yeah the Master also knew of the word "multitasting". Funny. Anyway the teaching itself is valid but a zen master would said something like "see that bird? It has feathers.."

"The finger points at the moon, but the moon is not at the finger tip.
The words describes the truth, but the truth is not in the words."
The teacher can teach the student all about life but that would be pointless if the student does not experience it.
One needs to experience the truth, need to experience life to know life, to appreciate life.
Zen/Chan Buddhism is about experiencing life as it is. Experience life one moment at a time as it is.
Nirvana is always here with us, right here, just covered by the personal walls we built ourselves and the baggages we collected while growing up.
Can you sit still and just be whatever you are? Not focusing on anything, not doing anything, just experience the sitting down? What remains after everything else falled away is one's nature, what the teachers call "Buddha nature".
If the answer is an easy yes, then you have just learned the basic of Zen/Chan Buddhism.
    There are more of course.

The master would never say "Each Moment"
There is only one Moment: The timeless eternal present Moment.
When all "Moments" dissolve into One eternal moment: only then can the Tao (Zen) be experienced.

@@easytales9221 you are doing the good work. Keep going, please don't take some mental unconscious people seriously. They can only see flaws or imperfections or create flaws by their heads. They just judged everything in negative way and don't know what is judging and they are doing it. I have advice for you is- try to understand this whisdom, analyze it and use it to change your life too, make your self first piority . make your mind conscious. These things can be understood by high mentally conscious people. Don't become someone who dont know anything but living in a illusion of knowing everything. Good luck 👍👍👍👍and thank you I'm looking for it.😌

Being mindful is not some thing that we concentrate on and Zen. I trained a new Japanese ZEN monastery for two years and never once heard the word mindfulness. That is because mindfulness is a given in Buddhism. Also. This monk that you show on this video is not Japanese, because Japanese monks never wore this kind of garb. Oh, one more thing, there is no such thing as a Japanese ZEN master. How do I know you ask? There’s no way to say it in Japanese, so how can you possibly say it in English?
