A beginner...that's what I am!! This will be my second attempt at rock painting. I will try this one. It seems to take a lot of patience and this is not one of my strong points!!! I will get started. Thank You 😊 for sharing.
If you get a round pallet, e 6000 glue. Glue Velcro to rock and pallet. Turn all you want rock won't move while painting. Glue dries soft, easy to peel off.
Rocks I always paint with acrylics. I seal them with Liquitex Gloss Varnish. It is the red bottle. Oils would dry too long I think. I have no experience with oils in rocks.
I made experience that with varnish it is less sticky and colors more vibrant. The other day some paint peeled off without varnish. If you just lay it down without touching anymore you don't need it.
I love your painting but on the butterfly I was wondering what colors are you using to make the shadow? And one last thing, do you answer any of the questions listed in the posts because I haven't seen any.
Hi I never tried this. I tried Polychromos on a rock without a white base layer and the result was bad. I tried Inkmarkers on a shell and ruined the tip. I would be careful with pens in any kind.
After my very complex cat rock painting from last week I decided to give you a much easier version. And as always it doesn't matter which surface you choose to paint on (rocks, paper, canvas, wood) You can use this tutorial for all surfaces. Own it: de.dawanda.com/product/124848307-bemalter-stein

That was awesome. I have only painted one rock. Lol I want to try this. I'm going to use this video to guide me.
I need to reborn if I want to do something similar to this paint. It's wonderful to see your art in a simple rock.
Love this rock. The moonlight and kitty is so awesome. I love to watch you paint. TFS- Rebecca

Thank you. Very helpful.
Your music makes me sleepy
I love this. Do you wait till each layer of paint is dry before starting the next color?
Thanks, sometimes yes and sometimes no. To blend something then no. To paint a color on top then yes.
Thank You!
Hi Anna, What brand and size brushes do you use for your rock paintings? Love your tutorials and the music is so relaxing! Thank you!
Hi Janie,
Material:
da Vinci Nova synthetics size 0 and size 5/0
Acrylic Paints from Golden (heavy body) and Daler Rowney
What picture .. acrilic
u óleo thanks
Does acrylic paint stays even after putting water on it?
yes it's water proof if its once dried
Beautiful! Where do you get your rocks?
Thanks, I collect them on a river beach.
Bella
Do you have to use oil paints or can you use acrylic paints and seal them with a clear gloss sealer? Thanks LindaI really love what your painting!
Rocks I always paint with acrylics. I seal them with Liquitex Gloss Varnish. It is the red bottle. Oils would dry too long I think. I have no experience with oils in rocks.
Annamoon FineArt I am just learning. Thanks for your instruction
Do we need to apply varnish for long lasting?
I made experience that with varnish it is less sticky and colors more vibrant. The other day some paint peeled off without varnish. If you just lay it down without touching anymore you don't need it.
I love your painting but on the butterfly I was wondering what colors are you using to make the shadow? And one last thing, do you answer any of the questions listed in the posts because I haven't seen any.
Sorry, normally yes but UA-cam didn't show it to me. Can't exactly remember but try watery solution of burnt umber mixed with Ultramarine blue
Thanks, I will try that!
I have done it
oh cool. I should do some showing of the fan creations at the end of a video.
Luna. 🐱
Can we use a white acrylic paint instead of gesso?
yes
@@AnnamoonFineArt thank you
Does it work if I used pastel or copic markers?
Hi I never tried this. I tried Polychromos on a rock without a white base layer and the result was bad. I tried Inkmarkers on a shell and ruined the tip. I would be careful with pens in any kind.
@@AnnamoonFineArt okay thank you
Can we use poster colours ??
I really don't know. If they are water proof and the provide a good opacity then I believe it should work.
ENJOYED WATCHING YOUR VIDEO BUT YOU DON'T TALK LOAD ENOUGH. I DO LIKE YOUR MUSIC.
can you put your rocks outside?
I have no experience with that. My customers use them for inside dekoration or as a lucky charm.
If Bob Ross painted rocks..........
with happy little clouds
Any way to tell what roc is best for painting on???? should it be completely smooth or some texture?
The smoother the better. A rough rock works too but then I apply 3 coats of gesso first to make them smoother. I use beach rocks from a river.
Since your video is so long I think you should talk more but that would be a good idea
oil painting?
Milei Joy no acrylics

Need to speed up the videos...
If you wish you can adjust the speed with every video. UA-cam provides this function.
